Deeds of Flesh just turned into a super group with all the heads that rolled into the studio on this recording, fuckin shredding and brutal production! Cheers to all who did this album!! R I P Erik
the fun part for me as the guy who mixed it is due to covid and all sorts of geographical restrictions, they very much did not all "roll into a studio". Thus I had 4 years of getting different tracks from different people recorded in different studios/bedrooms/etc across the world. Not even the guitar/bass/drums that were tracked 3+ years ago were done together at all. It was...challenging lol.
Yeah man that's the way the music world has been going for a long time, bands don't even rehearse the songs before they lay tracks down sometimes. I love the experience of the whole band playing it together live and then deconstructing it and reconstructing it from drums up. But these days it gives a vast # of musicians more access to other's they otherwise wouldn't be able to write and make music with. Did you do the mastering on the album or just engineering the mix?
@@zack_ohren nice! I asked because were going to be recording through December and January and we have our own studio but we want an outside source master it for us. Where abouts are you located and would you be interested?
