Hi dux I bought your traders edge dvd and in it you say do not exceed 1% of volume or float, but in this video u say 10% of float so I’m unsure of what to do. Can u explain
You won’t get anywhere near his size , unless you have 500k-1 million of cash to throw around . Don’t worry about it
Larger Accounts limit: 1% of float, 1% of Volume 10% of Market cap.
Your account size and position sizes should match the loss you are comfortable with. That's my preference before liquidity issues becomes a problem for me.

Just curious, Steven, what happens if you do size in more than 1% of the daily volume? I’ve heard Jack Kellogg say the stock can get a little wonky if you try to size in more than that. I don’t know what he means by that though 😅
Sizing in more than 1% float/10% volume will cause a major change in the bid vs ask, which means that it’ll be very hard to exit your position.

What % of your account do you stake per trade?
It depends on the set up. Not all set ups are equal.
However Aggressive when you are positive is a must next to tight risk management.

its a type of dilution on a stock. It refreshes the history of the chart. so risk management is harder now.
I have always been confused on how many shares you should trade (buying or shorting). Is that a golden rule? 1% of the volume (total or 1 minute candle) and 10% of the float?
No golden rule just preference , just to be safe .
Unless you're a big player this isn't something I would worry about till your 5 - 6 years into your trading career. Starting out just base your size on your risk tolerance. Steven can put up half a million dollars on a trade without breaking a sweat, it takes a long time to get there.

would it be correct to say your GFAI trade 700k position took 40k shares risk 20k made 180k, MWG 150k position took 13k shares risk 13k made 80k, total 880k position total risk 33k total profit 280k.
You don’t risk shares you risk $$
Once you have your max loss or stop. All sizing methods are fair game for that account size. Especially when you trade in the same $ range with a similar account size.
That can be express in similar shares sizes when you borrow. 40-60k shares I'd go in partial like 15-20 on the front side and back side of the confirmation of the set up. Then size down 5-10k according to the changes in the situation. Adding to winners and Sizing down when uncomfortable.
