I intentionally chose not to read the epilogues because I knew that there would be a million breakdown worthy these things in them I had no interest in introducing into canon. However I accidentally got the davekat plot spoiled to me in a animated music video somebody did. It was stunning by the way BUT I am in fact incurably scarred and now can only touch Homestuck with a very important emotional pole, as this was only a month ago I saw it, and the amount conveyed and implied throughout the lyricstuck was like Compounding Trauma Boulders and was beyond overwhelming, but. I agree with everything you said. I can't touch the epilogue thing, but you even kicked your comment off with a phrase comparing this, perhaps my truesr OTP as it were, with my ""officail"' OTP of BBC's Merthur. Two sides of the same coin. Knights. Thematically pervasive in so much fancontent of DaveKat, but, to hear it again in that term... it especially speaks to me.
