The microtones exist in Anatolian, Ottoman, Middle Eastern music. There are more notes on a microtonal guitar than a standard classical guitar and they are called microtones.

+Mike Tides this guitar is special in that it can be easily re-tuned prior to each composition in any exotic scale, so I guess 19-ET, Just Intonation, 31-ET - anything is possible as long as one takes the time to re-tune. Maqam music tradition is special in that each maqam specifies a unique interval structure (to highlight what's intended to be highlighted with harmonics in a composition). I, for one, wholeheartedly approve this approach, as 7 notes are akin to 640kb (ref. Bill Gates) - they are *not* enough for everyone :-)
