Thanks for the great video. I had one of these sanders when I was making ukuleles and it worked well for me. We relocated to another state a few years ago, and I sold most of my tools. I'm looking at getting another drum sander again, but after watching your video, I think I'll shop around for a different brand.

I haven't watched many reviews, but a drum sander is on my wish list. That being said, I think the only bad reviews I've seen are for the 10/20; I haven't come across any for the 16/32, but disconcerting nonetheless. Thanks for sharing, definitely will check other brands.

I had the exact same problem on the older version of the 10/20 and a friend made me two new shaft. I finally sold it for a new one and it was the worse sander I ever had. The place where I bought the new version of the 1020 had to change the sander four time before they finally give up and upgrade me with a 16/32.

I’m glad you made this video. I was leaning towards buying this Jet product. But after listening to your experience and a few others on UA-cam it seems that Jet tends to have a few issues with respect to quality, damage during shipping, etc. and probably not worth the aggravation even at a lower cost. Appreciated.

Absolute POS! Do not buy it. I got one for new shop. Didn't unbox for 2 months. Was factory defective. Jet sent me a new motor. Replaced it & still defective. Sent me a new motor backet. Still defective. Took it to auth service. Still defective. Been a year now. I've lugged it around, wrenched on it for a several hours. I'm out a grand and I haven't sanded a damn thing. BEWARE
