There are no turnstiles in Germany. You just validate your ticket on the platform, and they do spot checks with a major fine if you don't have a validated ticket.
ticket barriers are non-existent here in Germany lol, people tend to be honest here. also, you might encounter staff members on a train who will check your ticket. no ticket = a fine and possible prosecution

They are Tube stock and therefore smaller and therefore not as usefull on surface stock lines like the U5. They're only used there because theres a large lack of surface stock in working condition

This is very clean compared to New York City's subway system. No garbage on the train or on the subway platform. No rats running through the tracks.
You will find garbage on our trains too sometimes, but i saw never any rats here.
You can see mice sometimes running on the underground tracks^^. I guess that's just normal to a certain extent.
Catch these trains on a weekend.
