Thai BLs (Boys’ Love) has always been a thing since 2014 and 2015 and it reached its peak during the pandemic in 2020 but no one has produced a Thai GL. Freen and Becky met at the set of Secret Crush On You as side characters, they weren’t supposed to play as lovers in that BL series but the boss saw some chemistry between the two of them so he shuffled the characters and they played as lovers (no major screentime). On August 2021, IDF announced that they will produce GAP, the first full length Thai GL series. They held auditions on November 2021, filmed the Pilot on February 2022, started filming at the end of June 2022 then finally airing it on November 2022. The project took over a year to be completed because according to Saint, no investors believed that there’s a market for GL projects, all eyes are on BLs. Saint and his mom funded GAP and IDF might have gone bankrupt if GAP didn’t succeed. Fast forward, FreenBecky and GAP was a success. It reached over 600M views by the end of 2023 and FB won numerous awards, beating BL pairs on award shows. The market took notice of their success and that’s why more GLs are coming out right now ❤ Thank you for reacting to this 😍

Honestly it's so funny to me seeing you react to gls! I started watching you in like, 2019? Izone were still together, that's when I started lol, and since then whenever you'd post a reaction to a group I like I'd immediately drop anything and run to watch it, now fast forward a few years, still just as excited whenever you post about my fave groups, and you start reacting to my other favourite thing, Thai gls haha. Anyway I really hope you like the rest of gap the Series, and that maybe throughout the future you react to more gls haha, some I'd recommend 23.5 - it's a really fluffy show set in high school, I adore it, it's my comfort show Pluto - it recently finished, and I couldn't be happier, another comfort show with just enough drama haha My Marvelous Dream Is You - I think opinions differ for this one because of the acting (specifically kissing scenes) but I like it! It's a fun little gl that made me laugh a lot Somewhere Somehow - it's not out yet, but the pilot is out. By the same actresses from the gl above this, from what I can see, they got better haha The Secret Of Us - amazing amazing amazing, the actresses did phenomenal jobs, it's also a very enjoyable show Affair - also amazing, dare I say one of the best acting jobs out there Mate The Series - once again, amazing, the screenwriters did a wonderful job straying from the novel lmao, which is something you'll see a LOT in these bc of a specific writer haha A lot of these series are based on books from the same author, Chao Planoy, like half of these are all connected in what we call the "yuriverse", and for the fun of it, I'll write it out bc why the hell not. Also to say, that author's writing is godawful in my opinion, the way she writes characters is laughable and the way she handles sensitive topics (SA, age gaps. In blank as a novel, the age gap was 18 & 34 and thankfully the screenwriters changed it and aged up the younger one) is also horrendous, which is why you'll see a LOT of these being slightly different if not all the way different from the novels Spoilers ahead but imma explain the yuriverse!! So, we have Gap, the first ever to be adapted, with Sam and Mon. We later on learn she has two sisters, a younger one named Song that (in gap universe) died in a car crash (I'm pretty sure in blank she killed herself but feel free to correct me) and we also meet Sam's older sister, Nueng. Now Nueng, in gap, has cut off ties from their grandma until she comes back to yell at her for being a bitch to Sam. She borrows money from Sam but lives alone. Now we get to Blank. Blank is about Nueng and Anueng. I'm not going to go into the plot to not fully spoil, but what we need to know is: Nueng is Sam's older sister, Sam also appears in Blank, although played by a different actress, much like Mon. Blank is also where we find out about another show, Pluto, where later in the first season, we see Anueng reading the Pluto novel. Pluto is centered around twins, Ai-oon and Ob-Oom, as well as May. Also not getting into the spoilers, but Ai-oon becomes a writer because of encouragement from May, and presumably releases a book about their story, which is what Anueng is reading. Also in Blank, we meet Dr. Wan, Nueng's friend and I guess ex? Her and Anueng butt heads but she's just a friend to Nueng. The knowledge of Wan leads us to Affair! Affair is about doctor Wan and Pleng. Somewhere through the show we do see Nueng make an appearance to make Pleng jealous if I remember everything correctly, once again different actress. While not mentioned in any other gl, in My Marvellous Dream Is You, we hear the opening song from Gap the series playing, so we know it's the same universe. Bc of the novels, we ALSO know that My Marvellous Dream is connected to Us the series, a show that just started releasing, because the main characters went to school together. Us Is also connected to Mate, because in the novels Gen (main character in Mate) and Rak (main character in Us) know eachother through something related to coffee shops (Both work at one). Mate is also connected to Gap because Sam and Mon know Gen and Aoey (Mate) bc they own a hotel the two are staying at) Pluto and Affair is also connected because Pleng (Affair) is a singer that May (Pluto) really likes. Marvellous Dream is also connected to Us because two of the main characters (Kim and Pam) are close friends Yeah that is all I can remember off the top of my head, but as you can see it's chaotic as HELL but I personally love seeing a new gl come out and looking for connections. After years of not seeing each other And meet again Working to find the identities of the victims and Discovery of a mysterious skull I always love your reactions✨ And I really wonder why some people who react to the cranium always say Becky why are you silent, why don't you help her fight. Becky's character here is different from The film Uranus who can do actions or Becky in the real world who can do it with her boxing skills😅 Becky's character here is a scared, smart, bookish and sleepy girl. The author of the novel Cranium said that Bua was a sensitive person but her sensitivity was replaced with intelligence (nerd) that she herself didn't even know she was smart because she continued to think she was weak. In the story he seems doubtful but he replaces (hides) his doubts by thinking about theory before making a decision with an academic attitude. The weight of this story lies with Bua because she is placed as the main character in the storyline.
