@@Nate-fs3nofirst of all division game and you saying packers are not good and finally with lions finding a way win every time even they have a practice squad defense
Exactly, their defensive replacements were hungry motivated guys, they weren't 4th string or whatever nonsense and it's impossible to have 18 starters injured from the defense. There's literally 11 players and their entire backfield is probowlers
Exactly. People also forget our secondary is still holding strong. They see all the lineman and anzalone out and they freak out that the team is in trouble.
@@schrisdellopoulos9244 IMO the Lions having a great punt game is actually why they hold teams to so few points on the overall yardage they attain. So many teams burn 5 minutes on a drive that *might* get a field goal. When Jack Fox flips the field by 60+ yards, it starts looking more practical to try and win coinflips on offense. Detroit has the edge on Philly if you consider game scripting. Even with interior players injured, the defensive scheme plays very well against the run. Saquon is built different, but the Lions have a secondary that has proven through depth that they can contain elite RBs. All it takes is not giving up TDs on every drive, and this defense is more than capable of that. The Goffense can roll the dice and usually make some sane punts and field goals when risks are too extreme, with some notable recent exceptions I'll acknowledge. I think in a NFCC situation, Campbell tries to force Saquon to run 80+ yard drives for his touchdowns, forcing turnovers. I don't think the offense would struggle tremendously, but the backup choice of making the Eagles offense work *really* hard seems like a powerful weapon of attrition this defense has figured out how to wield. Unfortunately, at great cost. By that point in the playoffs several key people might be back, so it remains to be seen. If these teams met today, I think even a depleted Lions defense can get enough done to let the offense win.
