I’m from Denver. Homelessness is treated like a crime. Merely being alive is frowned upon. You are judged. Provide more areas for these people to set up camps, mental healthcare services, bathrooms, drug rehabilitation and education, law enforcement, and yes, friendship. It does not cost as much as people think; it is much less than the cost of homeless depravity on the society at large. Much of it is from gentrification.
These are human beings , animals are treated better. The people in who let this happen to these poor souls have no feelings & in my opinion aren't human.
I lived in Denver for awhile and it doesn't get extremely cold for long periods, and the snow doesn't stay on very long when compared to a lot of the midwest. I remember one winter in Iowa when it didn't get above freezing for 58 days, with many nights (and some days) dipping to -25°F, and snow 4" or more deep for 70 days. And those are not unusual circumstances for the midwest.
"We're not bothering anybody" That statement is not accurate. I couldn't throw out the trash at my place without keeping a vigilant eye on all the needles that were discarded on the ground. The garbage from these people and camps is a nuisance. Denver is the most homeless friendly city I have been in. Day and night shelter at the rescue mission. I hope these people get the help they need but to say they are not bothering anybody is just not true.
the government can do some for them. but thay want to live that way, what we have to do? I ask some homeless to work for my company that needs peoples, but they said no, on the street better than go to work?
@@andrewduran8365 School teachers have never made a lot of money, and regardless of what marijuana was sold they still signed up for the salary that they were offered when they were hired. Magically wanting more pay as a teacher all of the sudden because of a marijuana economy is dumb. If you dont want to get paid garbage school teacher wages, dont become a school teacher. Name one teacher in ANY state that thinks they get paid fair wages.
Colorado is the 5th most expensive state to live in, and it's a winter state. The only reason these people are staying here is because they likely have an established drug dealer, and drug habit that would have to end if they relocated geographically ..... Taking marijuana money to handout to people that use drugs, and dont work just perpetuates the sense of entitlement that this country seems to have about everything, and would do more bad then good.
I mean they just can't take land and live on it Public land is for everyone and they are making their homes on it The only way to solve this is to get the back to work

That along with the hundred other carts they take each month comes out of peoples pockets and hours of work when we run out and have little to no business

I was on these streets during the “sweep” watching it all and literally they were saying they were sweeping them under the rug. Heart breaking.
