After applying your undervolting profile When I open my gya v and loading the game after few second or minute my game crashed How can I fix that pls help
This depends on the silicone of each device. Seems like your device cant undevalt like mine. You can use install 3d mark to check stability while undervolting. Go to custom present and undervolt the gpu by -5mv each time. If it's stable you can decrease anothe -5mv.
I'm confused. You have an AMD Ryzen 4800H and AMD Radeon 5600H Dell. The video shows you using MSI Afterburner. Later at 2:30, you said that if my laptop has a dedicated AMD GPU I can use AMD Adrenaline software. Which is Which?
@@Btech94 Thanks for the reply. I have a Dell G5 SE 5505, 4800H/5600M. When using MSI AfterBurner, at 2:00, I cannot see the "curve editor" for the 5600M dGPU since the "core voltage" is greyed out. However, it appears when I select the iGPU. Further, when I run AMD Adrenalin v24.10.1, compared to the screenshot at 2:35, it says AMD SmartAccess Memory is "Not Available" under the GPU dropdown. There is nothing else. No "Tuning Control". Is it safe to assume that Adrenalin v24.10.1 also affect AfterBurner's ability to change the voltage/freq "curve editor" of the 5600M? (I'm also reading the comments in your other YT related to this topic, "How to unlock AMD adrenaline software on AMD gaming laptops to undervolt"). Edit: I forgot to ask, which version of Adrenalin were you using in this video, v23.3.1 or older?
@@RUHappyATM well unfortunately the adrenaline deivers after version 23.4.0 (something similar. I don't remember the exact version) doesn't support this. You can use Radeon ID custom drivers to install to do this. But it's last update was 24.3.0 after that there is no update on the drivers. You can watch this if you want to use that method ua-cam.com/video/NmkZMDduR4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=JF5LfI_6DLjduxYD I'm still using this version cause undervolting usually give me around 5-10 more FPS and less temperature in most games
@@Btech94 I reverted to Adrenalin 23.3.1 but still cannot tune the GPU in Adrenalin. Had a look at your youtube R-ID tutorial, installed it but realise that I have to change the bios of the 5600M dGPU. I stopped right there. Didn't want to void my warranty (still have 6 months worth).
@@RUHappyATM well whether modded drivers or not you have to change bios of the GPU in order to unlock the undervolting. But don't be afraid of it. Its not critical like changing the bios of the laptop. Long as you dont increase the voltage in there you are safe. Also undervolting is safe. But of cause do it at your own risk. Just follow the steps 8nmy video as it is and you are good to go. But undervolting is depending on silicon lottery. So my undervolting limits may not be same to your device.
In addition, I suggests replacing the thermal paste with Honeywell PTM7950 phase-change material is more thermally conductive than the best pastes. Replace low performance thermopads with gummy thermal paste Laird 607 or Upsiren U6 Pro.
How did you do that through the Radeon Software? Is it because you have connected to an external monitor? Can we have the same tuning settings through the laptop display?
hello. Is it possible to completely disable descrette grafics on this model? and run only with integrated grafics, to extend battery time? Does it have that option in bios or in software?
You can disable discrete graphics via device manager. But while it's disable the hdmi port will wont work. But this won't give a extended battery life since it only wakes when playing a game or rendering a video either way. For normal tasks the discrete graphics is always disabled by default on battery power
@@Btech94 I thought that GPU takes some power even if it disabled in device manager. for example in Asus notebooks you can disable it by Asus software and it even not visible in device manager. How do you think, huw much time this dell will last on battery, playing games with only integrated grafics?
@@user-nc9or8xc2s there is so few you can do on 51whr battery. Even on gaming hand held consoles with like rx 680m igpu the took around 25w when it's CPU TDP set to 15w. So for gaming laptops that amount is like 35w minimum. So no if you disable the discrete graphics still you want be able get 2hrs of game time from the laptop. Exept for really lite games. Normally discrete graphics takes around 12w to 30w on battery (depending on the game intensiveness). Still you can game around hours or so

When i use a profile it shows the settings and after few seconds it goes away
i cant see the graph results at the end because of the end cards

The Honeywell PTM7950 is awesome! I wouldn't touch anything other than termal pads, the putty pads or thermal putty.....DO NOT USE!
Why aren't the links in the description
Sorry ive forgot to update. Now those are available

You mean The undervalting part ? No it not because of monitor. It's because of I've unlocked and changed the Radeon driver bios.
@@Btech94 oh, is there any way to do it? Any tutorial or anything?
@@sajeecruz5907 yes i have already done a tutorial on that. Check it out if you want. I've mentioned in the description as well
how did you make the exe?
What about Ryzen Controller ???
It doesn't undervolt. Just change the tdp and boost times. But it's pretty great when gaming. 25w with 80'c on CPU works best for me when gaming.
