Going back to limiting the amount you can purchase would fix this problem. The only reason they stopped doing that was because the scalpers started crying about it and being belligerent.
Stores no longer accept returned TCG products, so if these scalpers can't flip their stash, they're stuck with it. If nobody buys from them, they're left holding the bag.
I buy as many as I can to open them. As a kid I could barely afford one pack of cards. Now I'll go and buy 20-30 and open them. I won't resell them or flip them. I keep them all for my own collection. It's either that or scalpers get them and resell them.
eh. 151 is basically over. Has been for a while. I feel like this was botched by TPCI. They're having a hard time balancing printing enough product while not turning every set into Shining Fates. Even the Blooming Waters collections were sold out instantly on pre-order. We have 9 months of this to look forward to with Prismatic Evolutions. 🙄
A local pokemon content creator! You earned yourself a sub! It's crazy right now. I don't even bother trying with that stuff, Surging Sparks has been tough enough to find to work on my collection. haha
Lots of scalpers selling 151 tins for $125 in Edmonton when they are worth 65 max, most have no interest in the hobby and have football pictures in their facebook profile picture
Sets been out since September 23'. If you haven't gotten your fix, you probably aren't a pokemon tcg fan lol. Product's been wildly available over the last year. Makes me laugh people always waiting until it's almost out of print before buying up. But hey, it's content like this that drives your views
I am master setting 151 and so I bought heavy to rip. There is no Costco in my area but a lot of Dollar General and I bought them out. I have sealed product in storage. The pull rates are better than current set, but there are a lot of dead packs. I also grade cards and so if I can hit the big dogs, I have multiples of every SIR at PSA. IT is what it is and I don’t get mad at missing restocks. The videos of people fighting for stuff on the other hand is ridiculous.
Yeah went to 5 different Costco's and seems like I was a day late every time. I felt bad, but hey can't win them all. No way I will over pay. Onto the next one.
Those tins have 2 packs of 151? $100 for 10 packs? Even at the costco price you mentioned, its $5.50 a pack.. 95% of pokemon packs have zero value... these scalpers are crazy
pokemon an over priced hobby to begin with 7 plus years ago it was actually enjoyable and easy to get into you could get a lot of nice cards for 100 bucks now days people give you garbage for 100 bucks
Scalping is an industry! Any hot toy, electronic, etc gets scalped. If there is no market there are no scalpers. The buyin is cheap compared to sports. It is capitalism at its worse I guess.
Scalpers suck but reselling and trading is how the world has worked for a long time. If people stop being submitted to materialistic things that you don't need then these scalpers will stop. But i guess being a collector and making content is more important.
Costco is made for small businesses- buying a large amount of a product for re sale is 100% normal. I see 1/2 skids of beauty products, fries , toys , etc…. Costco for small businesses first and open to public with a membership. If you get there early and are able to buy a skid. Good job !
@ I guess, but if it means that much to you to have that collection, then you should pay the premium price and if you don’t, then, obviously it doesn’t mean that much to you and you’re just wasting your money to begin with. This is coming from a scalper point of view.
@@Gigacat360 Do you scalp perhaps? You sound like you would.. So you're saying gpu scalpers for example make people pay an extra grand for a gpu, you should pay it just cuz? Awesome logic, mate!
@ yes I am! as an investor/“ scalper”. I’m curious what my customers like your self may feel about my “re-sell products”. After all the complaining I get I’m considering increasing the the cost about 15% of my poke cards, packs, etb’s,etc… I’m selling
@@Gigacat360 Oh dont worry, I dont have to deal with scalpers, i'm anything EXCEPT your customer. But nice LARPing buddy, keep it up. Maybe someday someone will believe you made a whole 1 dollar off of your scalping 😘😘

Costco sells in bulk and whole sale...makes no sense to limit
They limit purchases at Target.....25 per person......😂

You are quite the idiot huh lol
Honestly ima just waste their time to meet and tell em ima be late and never show.
People are doing the same in Toronto, I've seen images where they're still in their cart or in their car in the parking lot.

Surging Sparks is at Dollar Tree. YW

125...i seen them selling for up to 150,its sickening people will rip someone off like that,i hope karma gets them.
Dude for real, my fb market is full of Pokemon TCG for OVER market price. It's crazy and unfortunate for regular collectors

Scalpers its the cancer of collectors hobby
Each Costco box holds 8 boxes of the 5 pack mini tins

This just makes me sad I sold my original 151 childhood collection :(
Reselling in calgary cannot compare to toronto, people are literally selling whatever they can here
Costco Pokémon Collection can't be that bad
These are still out??
Scalpels would drop kick a child, to get to more product to resell.

What was the original USD price at costco??
$40

Exactly the purpose of costco is for bulk buying take a day off and get there first
na, this is scalping and selling highly overpriced.
I’m confused? Cuz you can still get the pokemon cards you want you just need to pay a premium price for it. It’s not so bad
I got an etb and a few pack from a lgs...buying singles to complete the set...not paying scalping prices to have a bunch of bulk
