This scene is heartbreaking. They both care so much for each other but are so torn between their families. They play this scene so well. I wanted to cry for both of them. The writers, I think, have done a good job of weaving their story and gradually letting us know what is behind Nathan's behavior and thinking. Amy's right, he's "a good man."
Nathan is a good man. Lou is the problem here. Her poor behavior is the reason why Amy ends up having to choose between her family and the amazing guy she likes. Nathan and Amy could have a great life together (not just an on the surface relationship supposedly separate from all the other areas of their lives - because that would be settling) if only their families could be at peace. Then they could truly date with an intent to marry. Their families just need to fix things and Lou needs to apologize and get out of the way. Maybe Nathan could merge his business with Heartland Beef.
I don’t think Caleb and Amy have chemistry. Plus, Caleb has two ex-wives. It appears that Heartland is now trying to bring Ashley back. Ashley was good with Caleb. However, I think Caleb and Amy should just be friends. Plus, I agree with whoever said that Heartland is too crowded. Nathan, Amy, and Lindy would be next door if there’s a future for Nathan and Amy.
Thanks Gina. I'm convinced the writers are just weaving these complications into what is going to end up being a permanent future for Amy & Nathan. By overcoming these obstacles it can strengthen their relationship not break it apart. We'll see if I'm correct hopefully in this S18 by E10. I hope they don't make us wait until the fall of 2025 to find that out though! 😊
Every time she talks about what she wants Nathan to be, she's actually describing Caleb. She keeps recognizing that Nathan's not what she wants him to be, walks away for a bit, and then comes back around and tries again instead of following her instincts. They have their moments but it still feels a little forced to me and I'm waiting on Caleb's return (hopefully more than a brief stint she can ignore) and for her to realize that she's basically been wanting Nathan to be Caleb which isn't fair to any of them. (And feels especially cruel to keep putting Caleb through this if it's all pointless - Nathan could EASILY have been concerned enough about the male best friend for drama to ensue without hurting Caleb needlessly.) She's always been out of sight/out of mind and I think it was easier for her not to think about the possibility before (stakes are SO HIGH due to their friendship) because Caleb backtracked immediately and then left for a good reason (Carson). She got distracted by Nathan as Caleb hasn't been around much. She's not good with change and has rejected basically every guy (Ty included) before wanting to give any of them a chance so anything's possible. These two have their moments but I'm still rooting for Caleb at this point. This just doesn't feel "right" yet, at least not until she stops trying to make him into something (and someone) he's not. I do enjoy some of their cute moments but none of them are screaming "SHIP ME!" with Nathan yet, despite the long list of reasons they're throwing at us to like him. It's like they're TELLING me to ship them without making me WANT to if that makes sense. For now it's giving S2 vibes except instead of Ty being away and Caleb being conveniently nearby, it's Caleb that's been gone a while and Nathan is conveniently next door. Waiting to see if there's a shift. I won't buy anything 100% until Amy is remarried and will just have to hope by that point that I'm on board with whoever they want her to ultimately be with.
If Nathan and Amy did marry, would Amy move in with Nathan? Heartland is overflowing already. No chance of Nathan and his father moving into Heartland😅
@ They will have to build the house from scratch. Only the swing is left. Unless they only want to swing forever 😂😂😂. Won’t Ty’s ghost and memories bother Amy ? She would need to be a very unemotional hearted person (strong Fleming girl 😯) which the writers are doing their best to depict.
'RobertLindsey'....you may not understand, but in this scene even Amy understands and didn't disagree. All the Bartletts, Flemings, Borden's put Family First. Amy would be a hypocrit (which she is not) to agree with you. Nathan is Better than 99% of men Amy will ever meet, he has her identical Values. And he acts his age (36) which Caleb doesn't and is still "flashing" Amy in his stupid underwear like a 16 year old. Thankfully, Amy "caught" him flashing, not Jack, or Heaven forbid Lindy. Here's the pairing in S19 - S24: Hot Ash (she acts 16) and Caleb (he is 16). Then Amy (acts 35 with the wisdom of a woman 10 years older) and Nathan (acts 36) with the wisdom of a man 10 years older.

Nathan and Amy should be together. Amy has been a single mom for way too long.

Nathan's sister isn't going to.play nice.

Lou needs to stay out of other people's business and take care of her 1:56 own She need are own place? She is Jealous of Amy?

Nathan and Amy make a cute couple❤❤❤❤ they are meant to be together
Lou is ruthless New York yipe
I don't like Nathan. He does not belong with Amy. To many secrets. By terminating land rights ,he proves that he doesn't care about Amy's family.
Or he doesn’t have a choice to do that considering Pryce Beef got dropped and he needs to make a business decision.

I like that. Nathan together with Amy. Watch 👍👍 that show 👍 heartland good 👍 mom Amy❤❤❤
I don’t think, Nathan and Amy have any chemistry whatsoever. Ty should automatically be the one for: Amy.
Ty is gone. People need to get over it. Stop dwelling in the past and move on. The show did
Fuchila guácala con esta serie. Tomó un rumbo como gallina descabezada. De historias baratas estamos full. Ya terminen esta mediocre serie.
I hope Nathan & Amy get together? Lou thinks everyone wants her,she did Mitch dirty?
