Definitely give Boxycharm a try! Similar to Ipsy but all full-sized products and so much fun!
Ipsy has a full sized box, which is the same price as boxycharm... but boxycharm has always been my preference between the two!

Patootie • you can go into Sephora and ask for free samples and same with MAC. I stopped liking Ipsy once they stopped sending fragrances and face washes. The brushes are not always the best. Boxy charm is the way to go. I’m going to subscribe to them again.
No you do not not hete in Tn I get free makeup and other stuff from clinique and sephora
Yeah just ask for samples at Sephora or Ulta and they are yours. No purchase necessary.
i get your complaint with ipsy and birchbox but i will say it makes sense to just try things as opposed to getting a ton of full size things that you might not like and then throw out. like i can imagine myself getting something like that hair mask, using once and not liking how it works on my hair, then throwing it out. whereas with samples i dont have to manually find the samples myself and i get to just test things and limit the amount of waste i make. alsoooo that mini mascara in the birchbox was def at least $12 and those have to be purchased, you can’t get them for free. just some thoughts
I agree with you. Even though I cancelled my Birch Box last year. I still gravitate towards alot of those samples I accumulated for 4 years.
I understand where you are coming from, but the bottom line is the bottom line - what you are getting is not worth what you are paying, even if you are using the samples. I guess it's personal preference. I'm not that interested in paying a company $15 for free samples just to try something new. Admittedly, I did get the sample Benefit Roller Lash mascara (although I highly doubt they paid full-price for it) and I really did like it. but in my experience those type of samples were few and far between.
@@chrissiedcohen Exactly! I've been getting Boxy Charm for a few years and it rarely disappoints and is always over $100 in value.
I do only Ipsy and personally love the sample sizes. And they come to me, I don't have to seek them out. About half of the time there is a full size product in the box. More than half of the time there is a brush. Good Lord I love a new brush! Ipsy makes me happy.
Big exceptions: as she stated, they make it impossible to cancel. Which is so shady and disrespectful. And they make you beg and wait to get your first box. Such b.s. Just send it when I order and stop sending it when I cancel,Ipsy. Should be no biggie.
@@melanimeyer6085 Ipsy is definitely better than Birch Box. I don't mind as much when there are a couple full-sized products and a some samples. It's when it's ALL samples that I get annoyed and that is what I was getting from BB when I was subbed. Different strokes for different folks.
I've been an Ipsy subscriber for a few years now. I really love the price and the items are awesome. I also share what I don't want or need with my daughter-in-law. The small bags are wicked cute. I pass those onto my granddaughter.

Try boxycharm! After six months of boxes I’ve been able to stop and choose a different box because I’ve accumulated so much amazing stuff I started with Ipsy but would never go back because of boxycharm ! Give them a try if you love Ipsy!
Yes, it was my mother in law that gave me all her ipsy bags, makeups, creams and cleansers from them.

Im always so curious about these! The Cause box was my favorite too. You should do more content like this in the future! Also, the Jesus Box was great to include because I have not seen a lot of faith based boxes before.

I love how excited you are in this video! There are definitely pros and cons to both types of boxes (small products more frequently, and full size products less frequently) and it was great to see both options
The mascara sample in Birchbox alone is like 15$
Actually it's $12 from Ulta which is still a tip off considering how small that size is

I have been a FFF subscriber for 4 years. When I get the box I go through it and I pick an item or two out for myself and I save the rest for my girls. When Christmas rolls around I give them everything from the FFF box. I spit it up between the two of them. My girls have kids and never buy for themselves. I remember when my kids were little I never bought for myself either. I find this a grand way to pamper my girls. They love their gifts so much. I even buy some extra items and add to it. I am just love everything FFF sends. God Bless you all.

I agree with the Ipsy making it hard to cancel thing! But, when I feel like I can afford it, I actually really like their subscription. They were really good about choosing things I liked and I’ll use their samples for months before they run out. I felt like the value was in them helping you find new products that you might not otherwise find on your own. I cancelled to save money for a few months and they offered me a free palette to re-start. But, I may cancel again. I tried them and Birchbox and preferred Ipsy, but Ipsy is more geared towards makeup specifically and Birchbox will include skin and hair care too. And, Birchbox did raise their prices, when I used them over a year ago, it was only $10.
Not true. Keep filling out the reviews and keep your beauty quiz up to date.. all I get is skincare with ipsy! It took a few months, but I love the products I get now.
P.s. I despise birchbox, I feel like they are one and done samples.

I travel a lot so I like Birchbox and Ipsy for that reason. I always have travel size items to take with me. I also enjoy trying new things.
The mini roller liner is sold in store for $16 so yes the box is worth $15 alone the roller liner comes in full size In shoppers beauty boutique where I work and Sephora and costs $32 the mini in store costs $16

Also, I love the jesus box and I would've gotten it but I'm Canadian :( also, I agree that lots of things about birchbox and ispy are kinda scammy, but those arent samples, they're minis. the ouai spray specifically would be like 15 bucks alone. it's not free samples its travel sizes. just so you know.
I loved my cause box too!! I love face mists and I love the one it came with, however the mist was rather aggressive so I switched it to an herbivore spray bottle!

I saw this subscription box called Deco-crate and they do a home decor box!
If you use Fab Fit Fun's regular price of $50 and compare it to Ipsy's $10... you could get 5 Ipsys, each with 5 products. A lot of times you will get 1 full sized or delux sample sized item, and 4 samples. So for the same amount of money as 1 Fab Fit Fun you get 5 larger sized items and 20 samples, plus 5 reusable bags. It's not as bad of a deal as it might seem!
Melissa Bergthold yeah except ipsy started sending me the same samples and really crappy full sized products and the bags add up I barley used two so for me it’s just not worth it. You pay for what you get
Obviously everyone's wants, needs, and priorities are different! I was just trying to show an apples to apples comparison between the two. :) I got Ipsy for almost a year, found a couple products/brands that I now love, and use 5 or 6 of the bags in various areas of my life! That said, not everything worked out, and from different videos I see they do eventually start repeating products... So there are pros and cons.
In those 20 samples you’ll probably get 12 black eyeliners, 3 products from the Balm, and 3 highlighters.
@@breekennedy3945 Please email their customer service, they will fix it if you are getting the same thing each time. Plus you can opt out of 2 types of products. I opted out of BB creams. They truly have fantastic customer service.

I love my ipsy. I travel with the small sized things and they're perfect. They give a lot of eyeshadows and lip colors that companies dont tend to give free

I love Ipsy. I have been introduced to so many brands of great quality makeup, skincare and haircare products that I would otherwise never have known about. Small enough sizes that if it turns out to to be a fail I don’t feel bad about tossing it or giving it away.
I have the Peach Punch cleanser from Tonymoly! It works super great for my combo skin and it smells amazing.
I've been wanting to try some new subscription boxes so this video was really helpful. Also, love the Jesus box! I've never seen a subscription box like that before. I know what I'm getting my mom for her birthday now :)

Cause box is the best of all...Fab Fit Fun is a great box also. Agree about Birch and Ispey ...yes, Birch used to be 10$. Have you ever gotten Rachel Zoe box ? Its 100$ a box, 4 times a year but products are fab and worth over 200$...

So is it a set 49.99 for fab fit fun or how much does it come out to total? Ive heard that toy pay the 49.99 and then each item as well. Can you tell me how it works?
Gracie Purdy each box is $49.99 total (or you can pay up front for a whole year and it’s $180, which would come out to $45 a box). If you pay per box, you only get to pick 3-5 of the items you receive and the rest are a surprise. If you pay for the whole year upfront, you get to pick all of your items. Hope that makes sense!

I know this is a late comment, but just wanted to say Ipsy is WORTH it! Any makeup/skincare I have that isn’t from the drugstore, I have tried a sample first through Ipsy. Most of the samples are spot on for me. And I pretty much ALWAYS get a full size product or makeup brush. Been doing it for over two years, and I. Love it.
I agree with you about Birch Box. But, with Ipsy you always get a full size product worth $10+ and the bag. In fact you got a highlighter worth at least double the cost of the entire subscription. I just joined you channel and have enjoyed your videos... appreciate your honesty.. I just wanted to point out a different perspective. Thanks
