Please watch and review of Kalki 2898 AD! It's already the top grossing Indian film to release in America, outgrossing RRR. Very important to draw attention to nonhollywood films also and it's a very important film! Should be a top priority Grace. It's also so good! ❤
I was personally glad that A Quiet Place: Day One wasn't just a bigger, more of the same, cash grab, and really appreciated a small and intimate story from the franchise. And still such a tense movie.
This just proves people are always overdramatic about everything. It hasn't even been a month since everyone was saying theaters are done for and the sky was falling.
Facts, this month proves that if you put out good big movies, people will come out in droves to see them. Bad Boys, Inside Out, Quiet Place and next month you have Despicable Me and Deadpool/Wolverine. The movie business has always been alive, you just gotta put out stuff that people want to see!

I find it fascinating that in every interview about Horizon, Costner made it a point to say "I make movies for men." And the audience for his movie ended up being 54% female.
He usually does and so it's interesting how the audience has flipped. I wonder if it may have been because the movie features a lot of female characters center stage, plus women love stories told in a TV-format (binge).
He also thought he’d leave Yellowstone which essentially ends the show and then said hey everyone come watch the movie you don’t give a damn about that ruined the show you loved. 😂
Can’t speak for this statistically, but the only Yellowstone watchers I know are WOMEN! So I’m not sure why he didn’t try to lean more into his female audience.
Kevin Costner should’ve known that his movie was too long for the demographic of people who would come to see this movie. My dad was really excited and wanted to go see it in the theater and then as soon as I told him how long it was he was like “never mind, I’ll wait for streaming.”
Lupita deserves an award for that acting, always admire when they can pull off facial expressions and emotion without much dialogue. Lovely, same goes for Anya in Furiosa
So happy that Pixar & Disney has made history today with Inside Out 2 being the fastest animated movie to cross a Billion ever in animation history! A Quiet Place: Day One had the biggest opening of the franchise ever which is so great for Paramount!
unless they make the alien backstory very interesting or do it really well… keep it small, sometimes things become less scary/exciting the more we learn
A three-hour movie has to be really interesting or niche or it will be for home viewing. Then again, some people have been going to 3-hour _Lord of the Rings_ movies returning to theaters.

I wasn't actually aware that Horizon was out this week, much of the hoopla was around Quiet Place Day One. I thought you were doing one of those early review videos for Horizon. Horizon is not getting a lot of show times. Like one morning, one mid afternoon, one night. So I went with Quiet Place...I didnt regret it 🙂...really, I didn't 🙂...nothings happening the next couple of weeks, so I'll surely get Horizon in.

I really would’ve loved to see Lupita in the new Jurassic Park movies 😭😭 But another franchise I think she could really do well in is maybe the Dune universe or leading lady for James Bond

I saw A QP D1 today and it was gr8. I wanted to see Horizon this weekend as well but I was super busy so I chose to see the shorter film. The Cinemark I was in had only 4 showings for the entire day for Horizon. There's 14 screens in that theater. An even bigger Cinemark with 20 screens only had 4 showings of Horizon. I was absolutely shocked. There's no way a big budget film can make any money with only 4 showings per theater. I don't know if the film is any good but still, it doesn't seem right. Can't wait for 4th of July weekend. Up next for me, Horizon, Maxxxine, maybe Kill but I'm not sure yet, and definitely the legendary Close Encounters of the Third Kind! Exactly the more I see these box office numbers for Sequels and popular IPs, compared to completely original films that bomb at the box office. The more it shows the people that say they want more originals are like Henry Cavill’s fans all talk no show.
People do. It just that theatrical movies are expensive to both studios and audiences, neither want to take risk. Original ideas will be made and found on streaming where the financial risk is lower.
Even with all this good news, things in Hollywood haven’t changed. They’re still cannibalistic, prices are still too high, and people’s viewing habits still haven’t changed. You could have 12 billion dollar movies this year, but until Hollywood permanently changes its ways, we’re still gonna deal with these dips and highs.

And the cool thing is, "INSIDE OUT 2" still have to open JAPAN on the 1st of August!!! So dont rule out that movie just yet because when the first one came out back in 2015, Japan added a cool 35-million to the movie to the original, so who knows how much this year will bring in. And it's like Ive been telling people, I dont care if I dont see any of this money, the point is it was such a beautiful movie and well directed and really spoke to a new generation of teens coming of age from 10-years ago. This has been such a wonderful movie for adults to relate to about anxiety and children about growing up. Absolute genius to Peter Doctor!!!!❤

@@TheDeckOfficer cause Ashoka had many redeeming qualities despite Rosario Dawson still not quite feeling like the same character from the clone wars. Ariana Greenblatt was in one episode of the Ashoka series & managed to blow everyone away with her portrayal that felt right out of the animated series & into real life which just her few scenes. Plus Hayden was amazing. The 2 main villains were cool for the most part. Plus we got some amazing visuals & cinematography. The clone wars flashbacks were great fan service that literally no one on earth could possibly be mad at. Meanwhile the acolyte tried to steal the season 5 final 4 episode framed arc & decided to lessen one of the best stories in Star Wars & teh best content Star Wars has ever made & yet they tried to make a cheap copy of a story that was done better before. It’s quite ridiculous how they did that & disrespectful to the impact & gravity of Ashoka’s story leaving the Jedi order. Nobody wanted a repeat of the framed arc when that is beloved by fans already & is a real tear jerker just to have it cheapened.

And the cool thing is, "INSIDE OUT 2" still have to open JAPAN on the 1st of August!!! So dont rule out that movie just yet because when the first one came out back in 2015, Japan added a cool 35-million to the movie to the original, so who knows how much this year will bring in. And it's like Ive been telling people, I dont care if I dont see any of this money, the point is it was such a beautiful movie and well directed and really spoke to a new generation of teens coming of age from 10-years ago. This has been such a wonderful movie for adults to relate to about anxiety and children about growing up. Absolute genius to Peter Doctor!!!!❤

For all the bad reviews The Acolyte is getting, people are still watching every week. It may not be a big success, but theres certainly buzz around it.

@@TheDeckOfficer cause Ashoka had many redeeming qualities despite Rosario Dawson still not quite feeling like the same character from the clone wars. Ariana Greenblatt was in one episode of the Ashoka series & managed to blow everyone away with her portrayal that felt right out of the animated series & into real life which just her few scenes. Plus Hayden was amazing. The 2 main villains were cool for the most part. Plus we got some amazing visuals & cinematography. The clone wars flashbacks were great fan service that literally no one on earth could possibly be mad at. Meanwhile the acolyte tried to steal the season 5 final 4 episode framed arc & decided to lessen one of the best stories in Star Wars & teh best content Star Wars has ever made & yet they tried to make a cheap copy of a story that was done better before. It’s quite ridiculous how they did that & disrespectful to the impact & gravity of Ashoka’s story leaving the Jedi order. Nobody wanted a repeat of the framed arc when that is beloved by fans already & is a real tear jerker just to have it cheapened.
