The songs message is all about not following society and breaking free of like expectations (not doing what Simon says) and it's really cool.
just like nct's music style especially 127 unit, not everyone is gonna like it but still they make what they wanna make. they don't follow trends, they make them. thats why i love nct so much, it's because of their uniqueness
No actually Simon is telling them to not listen to society.
In one of my psychology presentation, I actually showed the class Simon says teaser then explain them the meaning. It was relevant to my work. Their concepts can actually be taught or presented in class. I got 10 out of 10 on that presentation.

This is my favorite NCT 127 song. I love the experimental nature of a lot of their songs, and I think this one best showcases all of their talents.
Taeil's high note, my god.
Also, the chant at the start was a Maori war chant.
Finally, the song is about not following the norm and breaking the mold. Obviously Simon in this song representing societal pressures and norms. And the table is nearly identical to the table in Dr Strangelove where all of the world leaders sat. Obviously NCT do not look like someone that fits the bill to sit at that table, so they're standing on it, dancing on it, taking all the mics and centering them on themselves, etc. There's not much of a "story", but there is plenty of symbolism.

So bad news for you. Wayv is a very new subunit and basically, they have 3 MV's - Take Off, Dream Launch, Regular (it is originally NCT127 song. regular actually has Korean, English and Chinese versions).
BUT you should really react to all of them, which is NCT 2018. They have a song called *Black on Black* and I think you would love it.

I always like how you said "these boys can sing" bcs they all really can sing, feels like they're all the vocalist!🤘
I enjoy this song so much, and the chorus is so catchy that it easily gets stuck in my head. the only downside to that is when you're at the grocery store late at night and you're singing the chorus over and over, but the only words coming out of your mouth are actually, "killer, killer, kiler," and the store manager asks you, very gently to stop cuz you're making the other patrons nervous.
The song talks about how human beings try to follow the conventions of the society much like how the game Simon Says work where you have to do whatever is said.
And in this song NCT try to break the system by being their trus selves insted of follow what society likes.
Also there’s line “Bless me achoo” also talk about they don’t care what haters talk, like we usually sneeze when someone talk about us right?
It’s talk a lot about their music in general. Most of NCT songs is always have unique & experimental sound, some people even said their musics are always have this kinda weird sound (in a good way) their song *TOUCH* was maybe their most Korean public-friendly song.
