Strange is it not, that almost every single burned out car from these supposed "WILDFIRES" all look to have burned in almost exactly the same manner. ie: Engine blocks completely melted/disintegrated, tyres completely gone, windsceens melted, door handles melted, trails of liquified silver on the bitumen. Yet the outer car body (roof, doors, panels) are all relatively in tact??? How is that even possible? Surely all cars burn differently and at different rates? ie: Dependent on the make and year model? Old vs New? Electric Vs Gas? Upholstery type? % of Plastic fittings? Windows open or closed? Position of vehicle etc...? Far too many of these incinerated vehicles, look like the fire started in the engine block!!!
@@MyFavouriteMartin1 Cars are pretty much all made with the same materials. The parts that are steel will remain because it takes a lot of heat to melt steel. Other materials burn at much lower temperatures. Aluminum will melt in a campfire or with a propane torch, not so with steel. If an engine block is made from an aluminum alloy, it will melt.
We still have families from the 2022 fires caused by the NFS that are homeless and haven't received **any** compensation. What happened in Hawaii is bad, and got more coverage than the even worse FEMA management here in NM.

A car burns differently than a tree. Many trees have protective bark to endure a fire and simply do not burn as hot as a car or even a house, both of which contain plastics and different types of fuel, including gasoline and propane. Those create an incredible hot spots in a fire. So does the massing of cars and buildings as opposed to a tree.

I don't think you understand how fire storms work. Storm systems can develop out of the smoke, combined with strong winds the heat inside can be welding temperature. This is observable in most widespread wildfires. What sparked it is still up to debate (naturally lightning, but can be campfires and power lines)
Most are steel which takes a furnace to melt. Steel weakens in a fire and collapses, but it doesn't melt. It it is an aluminum roof, it will melt. Ever see a collapsed steel building that had a fire in it?
One reason Ruidoso was beautiful is because of all the trees and other combustible vegetation completely surrounding the town and even in between structures.

I evacuated and we are all trying to find out more, no internet or cell service until late yesterday. Still news updates are slow and most are old.

Cars did not melt. Bodys are still fully intact. Only low temp Aluminum and Magniseum alloy wheels melt. Metal roofs on houses stayed intact too.
