My buddy and I did a circumnavigation of Saddle Mtn. starting at Crown Camp on the old Lewis and Clark Rd. above Seaside that July. We used the Greenwood Resources map and no GPS, the property managers and necessary free permit available online but the maps are only available for $7 from there palatial office half way up the hill from Seaside or in their Portland office, that although the best I have seen for that area still leaves some serious route finding on the table due to lack of matching signage. We only headered out once but there was a hike a bike elk trail out of there so never had to turn back all day. We have made a few more trips into the area to try and locate a rogue stand of old growth but haven't found it yet, maybe next ride. I am hunkered down on Cape Meares and researching a 3 Cape (Meares, Lookout, Kiwanda) route to be done here in a bit. So much good access to the logging roads here on the coast it almost seems like endless enjoyment to be found if you don't get lost too much....
Thank-YOU Dustin. Some of my favorite rides are on desert flow trails around Tucson. Great video as usual, this captures the spirit of having a fun ride with your friends but still having a very good performance too (2 things very difficult to have at the same time, as I can see around my crew). Anyway, I can say to the guy riding all with just bibs and a t-shirt that there's Always a great form of silent respect for the people which doesn't feel the cold weather!
Hooked on your video drops every Thursday man!! Also admire your video style and technique! That behind shot to front shot transition and the 360 view especially🤙
Could you cover your chain lubrication process in a future vid dklein? Interested to know what you use, how often you relube, whether you ever need to relube during a ride... that sort of stuff. Love your work.
@@aidanshmaden69 Actually quite a bit of science behind it. Consider Friction Facts, zerofrictioncycling.com.au/lubetesting/ et al. I respect your viewpoint but I, and I'm sure others as well, want to go a bit deeper than that. Each to his own.
I liked the frequency of this crew. Different flavor than Ron & Drew, but still fun as fuck ✌️🙌 You’re blessed to have all these great people to ride with.
Hey Dustin. First of awesome video! Secondly I don't think you get enough credit for your impeccable music taste. Dream with in a Dream by Glass Prism has been in my rotation quite heavy since you featured it in your last upload. Cheers from the Netherlands!
I like you handlebar bag but its a shame it doesn't look like it works with an outfront gps mount. Any other bags that open in the same diresction but could work with an out front mount?
And he saw that it was good. Tire press-ure👌 Aire can become stale, reacting to an innertube to create an un-supplé region. The remedy is to run tubeless at the 'proper press-ure™' 🤓🙄😜
Could be worse, a forgotten helmet or shoes, or maybe leaving one wheel behind...of course this has never happened to me. Music plug: Dengue Fever - ua-cam.com/video/CQYOGkCk2DA/v-deo.html
You are capturing what riding with friends feels like so well, I hope some non cyclists watch and get inspired to ride.
Thanks player! I would be hyped if some non cyclists got down...But I don't expect them to understand what we know 😉
Well put!
Working on it! From the UK, got my heart set on a Kona Rove (not sure on trim level yet) and gonna ride as many canal paths as humanly possible.
This lapsed cyclist is getting back in the saddle if that counts
Once in a while I watch your old movies sometimes just for the music. Love it so much! Thanks for making so nice vids.
Glad you like them!
Spectacular filming and commentary. All three of you we're players on this adventure. "9"
Back here for the DKLEIN quarantine binge. Great as always
Welcome back!
I really enjoy your videos - just enough tech geek, chill attitude and ride videos that inspire. Great job and thanks!
Thanks for the tip on the letting the air out. So simple I never thought of it.
Looks like such great riding out there. Very well done video again! Thanks

Would love to see some of these finished routes!
Reminds me a bit of the gravel we have around Oslo, Norway, ours is maybe a bit less rocky, but still. Need to get out there this weekend.
You are my favorite bike channel. You capture the life behind bars. ....and you get to do it in the PNW.
Lorenz Siggel 👊👊👊

Great episode and points for the Outer Shell gear! 🤟
It sure helps to have the right riding companions.

Perfect riding weather!
Dude I literally can’t wrap my head around how much food you eat on your rides. It’s incredible. Haha!
Also, hi chris! Shared a meltdown on the Grinduro climb after lunch with you two years ago. Probably because we didn’t eat enough... 😄
😂🤙🤘

just lube your chain when it gets dry. no science behind it.

Came for the riding, stayed for the invisible dog
Just try not to step in the invisible dog shit like Dustin did.
Awesome video as always. What's that black bike that your other buddy is riding?
Francois Caen that is a Bombtrack Hook ext-c exact same as the one I was riding. I did ask him about it but the clip got Glitched out 😬

@@BGdubs92b17 Thank you Brandon.
Hey, What handlebar bag do you use? Its pretty nice!
It's an Outershell Adventure Drawcord Handlebar Bag. Great stuff made in SF. I have a few Outershell bags and they are yet to disappoint.
Spare car key hidden underneath the frame of your truck, what could go wrong?

Podcast you'll relate to..how I built this w/ Guy Raz..
LOVE this podcast. No matter who they interview, it's always excellent.
If your channel doesn’t win a freakin Oscar a tony award or a Nickelodeon award I will scissor kick all the judges or challenge them to a joist
You are the man!!
I ride alone .my friends are lame
Yo Dustin, do you ever think Jonah hill and Seth Rogan might be the same person?
Running out of superlatives. Seems like most other bikey videos are a disappointment.
Invisible dog shit, so that’s why my shoe stinks 🙀
music is dope, oregon is doper
