It's nice to see a content creator post the good, the bad, and the ugly along there journey! Keep up the amazing work. Enjoy the snow!
Yes Lee! Even though I've gone down the DTG route and had my gear delivered last week, I'm still loving these videos. The only thing better than these prints is your reaction. Nailed it!
Lee Stuart Hey great video!! I’ve been watching you for a while now and I’m starting to get into screen printing myself. Thankyou for being so inspiring. Something I noticed though is in the beginning when you showed the ratios for the black ink, you put “4% white plastisol” @ 2:27
Another great video bro, you rock. Can’t wait until I’m doing this myself. You’re very smart to create businesses out of your business(your brand)! Keep it up Lee! 👊🏽
Nice video man like alway! I was wondering if there’s a chance for you to make a video about trademarks, or registering your designs? How do you go about that? Thanks for all the help!
Thanks man. I honestly don't deal much with that stuff, aside form trademarking a logo there's no use in doing print designs because they're always changing
I been looking for a video on how to make the distressed look for a while and bam you posted one. Nice! any chance of a video on how you make and sew on hem tags in the future?
Hell ya man, hope it helps. I doubt I'll make a whole video on the tags because I don't make them here, but I'll try to squeeze a bit more about sewing them into the next video where I use them
As always, enjoy your work & vids! With the additives, how many seconds on the flash? What temp did you dry your shirts? Those triblends are tricky to keep from scorching. Thanks man, keep up the good work💪🏽!
Thanks man. Just a few seconds under the flash since the ink is so thin, it's really just to dry it up a bit so I don't pick up ink on the back of the screen and change the tone when I hit it with the second color. Other than that they cure at the same temp and time as anything else. Triblends look like they're scorching sometimes but actually aren't. It's the atmospheric moisture so with certain colors they come out weird looking because that moisture is evaporated, but after about 30 mins they go back to normal. Red is notorious for this
Hey Lee, did you choose to base the black or did you opt to make your seps with no underbase in order to maintain that same “vintage” opacity for each color on the garment?
Lee Stuart cool. I’ve never based black either. Guess I framed my question wrong... what I meant to say was, if you were to do a different multi color would you have chosen to sep out colors so that they all still had the opportunity to soak directly into the shirt vs on top of another ink layer? That would be how I’d approach it in order to achieve this effect so I was curious. Keep up the great work! ✌🏻
Amped to apply this! Starting off with a single color design for budget and learning needs, but curious with this thin ink, how do you make those seps? And choke/stroke, or just butted up?
@@leestuart38 oh so it is for personal use? So where can I find silk screen film positive to buy? I've such business in Egypt and I would use some good stuff like yours.
Your a big inspiration to push the envelope and get shit done son!! You Finally got into the allmade!!! That should make up for the plastisol!!!--376u be part of the change. And I see that you dabbled in the interstellar inks/ how was your experience with them especially on the triblends and allmade triblend shirts and what you think of the those Ink on them. I see one gallon not opened and I’m guessing it is either the gold or silver flakes cuz I see a quart of probably slipstream silicone, or puff. Lmk cuz I I just did a run with the holiday shirts on the 100% cotton allmade tees. Some came out pro and some just acceptable. But the allmade shirts are bomb and I hope you stick with them for your clothing line. Best wishes and stay hungry cuz you’re killing it brother. Oh and content alone.. whew.. you work harder than any printer I know when it comes to learning and producing at the same time in such a short time! Keep on keeping on! Thanks a lot dude. I've used that interstellar stuff twice now and it's ok. Honestly I'm not a big fan of waterbased inks because of how difficult they make my job and they're also not the eco friendly solution that they're marketed to be.
Soft base isn't meant to be used in that kind of amounts, 10-20% maximum with most of them. If you want to skip an ingredient then I would go with just reducer and ink.
Supplies are on the way brother! Quick question, where can I get some of those Custom Poly Mailers you ship with? Also I’m new to shipping, it seems like USPS First class is the way to go for small orders?
I get them from uline and print them myself. I'm in Canada so I'm not sure about what USPS does, but Ive shipped with our postal service for the last few years.
