In 2013, Elisa Lam, a 21-year-old tourist from Vancouver, British Columbia, disappeared while staying at the Cecil Hotel, a Los Angeles hotel with a long and lurid history. She was last seen on January 31, 2013. As part of the police investigation, a video was released that showed Lam behaving erratically in a hotel elevator. This footage became a viral sensation. On February 19, 2013, Lam's body was found inside a water tank on the roof of the hotel. Her death was later determined to be an accidental drowning, though the exact circumstances that led to this remain unclear. Lam is the subject of a 2021 documentary, Crime Scene: The Cecil Hotel
On January 26, 2013, Lam checked into the Cecil Hotel, also known as Stay on Main, which is located in downtown Los Angeles near Skid Row. Early in her stay she was relocated from a shared room to a private one due to "odd behavior." Lam was last seen in the hotel on January 31. Her parents, David and Yinna Lam, who'd been in daily contact with their daughter, quickly reported her missing. Lam's belongings, including a wallet, ID and laptop, had been left in her room. A Los Angeles police bulletin about Lam's disappearance mentioned that she spoke English and Cantonese, used public transportation, possibly had mild depression and was ultimately headed to Santa Cruz, California.
The police issued an appeal for assistance from the public and released a video that showed Lam, wearing a red hoodie, inside an elevator at the hotel. In the footage, she presses numerous buttons, looks out of the elevator, moves back into a corner, steps outside the elevator and waves her hands about. The video went viral and sparked widespread interest in and speculation about the case. One theory arose that Lam was playing what is sometimes called the Korean elevator game, in which pressing elevator buttons in a specific pattern will supposedly open a portal to another dimension.
While Lam was still missing, guests at the hotel began to complain about low water pressure. On February 19, 2013, a maintenance worker peered into one of the four 4-foot-by-8-foot water tanks on the roof of the hotel and spotted a dead body that turned out to be Lam. The worker later said in court documents, "I noticed the hatch to the main water tank was open and looked inside and saw an Asian woman lying face-up in the water approximately twelve inches from the top of the tank." The roof had previously been searched, with the assistance of a police dog. However, no one had checked inside the water tanks.
The investigation into Lam's death continued following the discovery of her body. Entry to the roof was supposed to be restricted to hotel employees. An interior staircase to the roof had a locked door equipped with an alarm - said to be working - that should have alerted staff if it had been opened. Three fire escapes also provided access to the roof.
Following further inquiry, an autopsy and toxicology tests, the coroner issued a ruling that Lam had accidentally drowned. There were no indications of physical trauma on her body, and no drugs that might have contributed to her death were found in her system. The coroner's report mentioned Lam's bipolar disorder as a significant condition that played a role in her death.
Due to a negligence lawsuit against the hotel filed by Lam's parents (the suit was dismissed in 2015), the lead investigator from the case gave a deposition. "My opinion is that she fell off her medication, and in her state, she happened to find her way onto the roof, got into the tank of water," Detective Wallace Tennelle stated. In the deposition, the detective also noted, "My partner and I tried to figure out how somebody could have put her in there, and it's difficult for someone to have been able to do that and not leave prints, not leave DNA or anything like that. So she climbed in on her own."
Elisa Lam is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby, Canada.
The Cecil Hotel - which had rebranded itself as Stay on Main prior to Lam's stay - has a macabre history that may have contributed to speculation about Lam's death. The hotel has been the scene of multiple murders and suicides, dating nearly as far back as its first days of operation in 1927. In the 1980s, serial killer Richard Ramirez, known as the Night Stalker, stayed at the hotel. Jack Unterweger, an Austrian serial killer, was a guest in 1991.
I have never seen another UA-camr visit her grave before, and thank you for being so respectful.💕I have always found this case not only heartbreaking but also so mysterious. May she rest in peace, Blessed Be.🙏
I got chills when I saw her grave.
Facts me to
Same Erica, this case was so mysterious, and affecting.
Scott definitely shows so much respect.
Blessed be 💫💫💫💜💜💜
It's amazing that the water tanks could be opened by anyone! So easily could someone tamper with the purity of the water adding something toxic that could affect all the guests!
I heard everything was suppose to be locked but then I heard the fire escape leads up there
The worst part is that the the tank was left open since the night she fell into it to the time the police finally found her. And people were drinking that water and showering in it. All the way till the body started to rot and the water in the sinks and showers started to turn brown
Literally something out of a horror movie
Yes it’s possible, that’s the reason why the doors to the rooftop have alarms ⏰ so no one can tamper with them but a combination of neglect and nothing ever happening on the rooftop could of contributed to her death
@@mediii8057 damn
God Bless her. I remember when they found her. It was all over the news. And I wasn't too much older than she. Stuff like that hits home when you're younger.
I dated someone that was bipolar and when we were going home to my house she saw and swore I hit someone in the road and when we got to our house she was acting strange and again swore she saw someone in my hallway. Bipolar is real and definitely a mental disorder. Very scary day for me. So I do believe Elisa was having a psychotic episode
Wow she must have had it severely then, at least she was safe with you and not by herself.
I believe she was too, but when with the wrong people around someone battling and relapsing it can be their fate and their demise. People who deal with Mental illness need the right support around them. Elisa was left alone in a place that wasn’t safe for her.
How did she get in the container?
@@honda-akari Elisa got in the container herself. She climbed up the ladder and got in. I believe her documentary is on Netflix.
@@chaverd0 A lot of work for someone who chose to end it herself, don’t you think? Why would she herself care if someone found her body, if it’s self inflicted? She would’ve not went out of her way to make herself unseen. Unless there’s someone else involved that had to hide her, hiding a body is a criminal mindset.
So glad to see a video that focuses on Elisa Lam, rather than the Cecil Hotel. Excellent work.
The respect you have for not just those you’re doing a story about but to every person buried as well as anyone visiting is so amazing!! You’re not only a respectful human being but to share it via social media is a completely different level!!
If only others could follow your lead, the world could be a better place!! Gen Z & late millennials show respect & kindness?? Crazy thoughts!! 🤔
I Agree 👍100% with You Dani About Scott!!!! He is Such A Humbled Soul!! 💃🏖🏝🙇🏻♀️
Scott is an Empath
This is such a sad story. The fact that the she passed away like that and then the hotel guests was drinking that water. Just awful all around. Rip Elisa
do you have an OnlyFans?
The fact she DIDN'T have her prescription drugs in her system is exactly the problem. Heather seems like a perfectly good person but c'mon knock off the ghost stuff that's an insult to people with mental health issues. Zak Baggins is a grifter.
I’ve dealt with two people in my life with different forms of Bipolar one I grew up with and she chose not to medicate, I lived not far from her and saw her a lot, she kept herself very busy, aside from being depressed at times, she maintained very well her life with her illness. Then I married someone who has Manic bipolar who hallucinated badly and had to seek treatment and then medicated himself willingly. Medicated or not they need the right support system and not left behind. For it is extremely easy for the weak and ill to be prayed upon by sick individuals whom can find their way in…if there’s an excuse they can get away with their crimes. If she just wanted to end it all she wouldn’t have gone to the extent of trying to hide her own body, especially in the way she was found.
Ghosts are real don’t be so close minded
I detest Bagans.
Heather sort of has a point there was a video I watched where like the Hotel was closed down but yet we keep on seeing Lights turn on certain rooms did this cause her to act out Idk but it is interesting but this could be people that are Squatting there or like the Janitors live there to still maintain it
The whole story is just crazy, and even with all the scenarios, to think what happened to that poor girl near her end is terrifying. Its either she's murdered and the body is dumped in the water tower. Or its suicide, which wouldn't be fast by drowning, and likely was alive for a while in there. I just hope she is at peace.
She had a history of schizophrenia according to her family and that's what this was, an episode of her schizophrenia that ended tragically. People want it to be supernatural because that's more interesting to believe.
Thank you!!!! Reality tv and these ghost hunter shows make people wanna make more out of everything.
If that's the case than HOW ( & what made her think 2 ) go thru a locked gate, climb 2 flights up the side of water tower & get thu a locked hatch 2 "go swimming " ???
@@elizabethannbender1735 people that I’ve experienced with schizophrenic or bi polar feel adventurous when. It on meds. She could have been envisioning some type of game she was playing with herself and she went up there to hide or explore because her mind was wandering and it ended tragically. If you watch the documentary on Netflix the space between those water tanks are tight… if anyone was carrying her or any type of foul play they would have definitely left some type of DNA
@@LadyPercy. Who is Scott ?
@@recoveringfatboy5660 Sadly I too am more than well versed on bu polar & schizo affective disorder due 2 family members.
What I'm saying is, how did she know water tank was up there & how 2 get 2 it ? How did she actually climb thru doors & window that was supposed 2 b locked 🔐 ( & why ) ???
So many easier ways of suicide . Don't but it 4 a minute.
That demon incarnate Richard Ramirez was there that night & only checked out same day they found body so as not 2 b found out, in my humble opinion, & together w the bizarre tape points 2 a combination of paranormal & crime.
I saw Netflix special & a you tuber named Josh something ( rise above channel I think ) & watched he & friends try 2 make the 'journey' she'dve had 2 have taken . These r strong young men & they knew exactly where they were going. She isn't & she didn't. And they had a very hard time.
Way 2 much just doesn't add up unless there's a little bit of both goin on .
So respectful once again. This case has troubled me for a long time. I honestly don't think we will ever know what truly happened. I just hope her sweet soul is at a peaceful rest.
I was so obsessed with this story when it came out. But in the end it turned out to be a culmination of false reports and misinformation between and from law enforcement. In reality the water tank WAS NOT CLOSED. The hotel maintenance manager found the tank open when he went to check it out. She fell into the open tank and drowned. No crazy mystery. She suffered a mental attack because she wasn’t taking her medication, climbed to the roof and fell into the tank and drowned.
It was very cold that night and when people start freezing, mind fog kicks in and people tend to start removing their clothes thinking they’re hot but they’re instead entering hypothermia. She’s not the first person that was found undressed in a cold place where it normally wouldn’t make sense to do that. That combined with the mental breakdown that she was already going through.
She chose to stay at Cecil cause it was really cheap. She also didn’t kick out her roommates. She was behaving really strange and bizarre so they asked to be moved to another room cause she was out of control.
But the alarm wasn't trigger when she open the door to the rooftop.
@@lancetruong4957 cause the door was unlocked. I’m not sure how familiar you are with these types of things. The only way the alarm would go off is if that door was locked and someone pushed it open. If it’s unlocked then the alarm is turned off. That’s how must buildings with these kinds of alarms work
She went out the window, up the fire escape.@@lancetruong4957
I’m really glad you showed her resting place. This is such a bizarre story. I don’t see her going up there and getting into that water tank. Thank you for talking to us about this poor girl
Love your work !!!! Your please don't lose the raw edge when your famous ! !!!!!!!!!
Another great video Scott but then again all your videos are great!
So excited when Scott has a new video up.
Thank you, I appreciate you and work.
What frustrates me most as a person with Bipolar Disorder is how much people "don't" understand about it. But I guess unless you have it or know someone it's hard to be invested. For example there are 3 kinds of Bipolar disorder. Bipolar 1 which is a more severe form causing a person to become fully manic(psychosis -thinking they're God, delusions of grandeur, impulsive, completely wreckless decisions, hallucinations etc). This type of BP can also include depression but it depends on the person. Then there is Bipolar 2 which is what I have. Mostly depression with mixed moods of "hypo" mania never going to full psychosis. I am mixed mood rapid cycling which means I can cycle rapidly between moods. However if I am feeling a bit "up" so to speak I may have mild hallucinations. Especially if I stay up late. Then there is Bipolar NOS(Not Otherwise Specified, or Cyclothymia which is when someone exhibits symptoms of Bipolar disorder switching between highs and lows in mood but still can't fully be diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. That all doesn't include any co-existing disorders like anxiety, OCD, PMDD, etc. Any or all of those can wreak havoc on someone that has never been far away from their family and is on their own for the first time in their lives. but also as a person with a mental illness it's our own responsibility to take meds and do the right things. So if she was off her meds and staying up for days on end she could easily have thought something was after her or even thought they I think I'll go for a swim. Poor girl.
So this hotel has alot of history that left imprints/activity. And although it's an unsafe and completely sketch place to investigate, I still want to go there sometime with my little ghost box, and just see.
@WAT ok Every street corner and sidewalk is littered with homeless crackheads are used to live in that area about 10 years ago and it was it was OK but now people are just lighting trash fires in the middle of the street and setting up their crack tents everywhere literally everywhere
gina bizzard ghost no one is allowed in the The Cecil Hotel now. it's now a place where people live and get help so they do not have live on the streets anymore,
Hotel Cecil REOPENED?

It’s private apartments now. Can’t go
I'm team Scott, I believe sadly she was off her meds and had an episode.
Regardless may Elisa Lam rest in peace. Another great video video Scott.
Heather seems really cool.
Well done you two ❤✌️
I'm glad your doing this Scott. This was a real tragedy. I know Scott Michaels did a great tribute and I'm glad you are as well.
Such a creepy story. I liked your take on this mystery. I had not heard she was found facing up, 12” from the top. That must have freaked out the person that found her.
Agree
A very tragic case. So young and troubled. RIP and condolences. Love ya Scottsdale!
If I could get a Scott video every day I would be happy. Scott, watch Omar’s video. He goes there and shows just how hard it is to get up to that roof. It’s not easy.
I heard one theory (sorry, I do not remember where) that the elevator footage was simply a case of Ms. Lam pressing the "Open Door' button repeatedly, which prevented the doors from closing, Makes sense, but nothing explains the water tower. It doesn't really matter, I guess. For such a young woman to lose her life is simply tragic. Great video
Whoa 130k!!! Scott!! Congrats omg!!!
Thank you Scott loved the video first to click.. big fan of your Scott ❤️❤️
Wow, I really didn’t know much about this story until now. Mental illness is a horrible disease that has turned so many lives upside down. Thank you for telling Elisa’s story Scott! I pray she is at peace now!
Once heard this story but the way you tell it I get goosebumps. It's so sad. Rest in peace Elisa. Thank you Scott for tell this story .💞
This is a great video I do remember this case it was quite strange and out of the ordinary but very scary at the same time thank you for sharing this case again you are awesome Scott
Cecil was named a historic-cultural monument by the Los Angeles City Council. Work on the hotel was completed at the end of 2021, and the hotel has now reopened-but only as affordable housing for the moment. According to reports, the new renovations include 600 affordable residential units.
You are very respectful when you do these videos. Love your channel❤
It has alot of history while it was open so many unsolved murders when it comes to that hotel it's very unsafe to try to go in and investigate stay safe thxz for this amaizing video
Beautiful video Scott you always do good videos I don't know what to say about lise case but I hope it will be solved☺
She was so beautiful. Scott amazing video. So sad 😔

Thanks for sharing Scott! You have such a compassonate heart!
I want to stay at the Cecil if they reopen in. So many stories about this place.
Thank you Scott for doing this.....terribly sad .
The fact no one saw her acting strange in the hallways is crazy too!
Good work and with respect. Mental illness is a nightmare. It affects my whole family but we're still together. This world doesn't make sense. It's chaos.
Ur so lucky & blessed 4 that.
Mental illness has decimated my entire family as none of us r together !😔

I always found her story so interesting. Sad but interesting. I’m glad that you added your actual footage in front of the Cecil in this video. Thanks Scott 👏🤘
hello SCOTT good seeing you as always buddy!🙃
You really live by the dictum that every human being is important and deserve to be heard. Its always touching when you spend your time researching and bringing back to life the unfortunate, invisible souls who passed on in tragic and other circumstances.
I appreciate these Segments and continue to pray for the Lamb Family.
This story is so bizarre and very heartbreaking this case has troubled me sadly we will never ever know what really happened to Elisa. I hope she is in peace. Thanks for visiting her and being respectful to Elisa.😢💔🙏🏻
Interesting video, I’ve never heard of this case …. My mom is bipolar , and I’ve learned a lot about this disorder …. Honestly her episodes had similar and different symptoms…. I think one time she said she saw angels flying around …. In 2013 during her stay at a mental hospital she had shock treatment and it really helped her a lot …. Thankfully she has not had an episode since then and her current medication has kept her healthy ….. This is a miserable way to live life and no matter what happened to this young lady , I hope her parents have found peace knowing she’s not suffering anymore and she’s at peace

Thanks scott ! Well done! I remember seeing this story on mrballen UA-cam a while back ...appreciate you covering this ....stay safe always and may God bless you always my friend...🙏❤
You are at your best when you do this type of video….awesome work!!
We spent a weekend at what is supposed to be the most haunted hotel in America- the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR. In the middle of the second night we awoke to noises which proved to be all of our toiletries flying around the bathroom. Nope, no ghosts here!
I think Scott needs to stay in that room
The news unfortunately said the cover to the tank was closed when he found her and that was not the case. So sometimes you believe all the things you initiallly hear. I do believe the same as Scott. It was a sad situation and she was alone. I do still think Cecil has some very creepy vibes no doubt but Elisa lam was a mental illness death.
The hotel does have a creepy history but i think in this case she was not taking her medication which caused her to behave really bizarre in the elevator and then somehow gain access to the roof in climb into the tank on her own she also was bipolar all those things contributed to her untimely death Rest In Peace Elisa ♥️
If she wasn’t found naked I’d believe that, that’s a lot of work and determination also to make yourself unseen. Suicide is it possible to think of hiding your own body?
@@anisassquad7814 you too
@@anisassquad7814 you don't think people who commit suicide would get naked first?
@Aaron Stiles The lid was not closed. It was open when they found her. The LAPD has no reason to cover her "murder"up.
@@aaronstiles4338 What? Jump in a tank with all her clothes on and then take them off once she realized she was stuck and had to tred water? Do you know how heavy wet clothes are? They will literally prevent you from floating. It is completely normal for her to have taken her clothes off in the tank so as to help her float and tred water easier. That plus the effect of hypothermia causes people to strip down naked due to the body feeling like its burning up. So her getting to the roof (which wasnt that hard) and jumping in. Leaving the latch open. Then realizing she is stuck and is forced to tred water. Takes her clothes off so its easier for her to tred water and float naturally.
Awesome Video Scott !! This is definitely a very interesting case! Thank you !
This case has always been very puzzling and intriguing, thankyou.
I used to stay at this hotel, this was crazy place
Awesome job on a super terrible situation Scott!!! You are always responsible and respectful with the stories/ situations you cover. Absolutely one of the best channels in this genre on UA-cam. Stay safe and keep the excellent content coming

Great Video! RIP Elisa🙏
Great video Scott, lots of love from the UK as usual .
Your friends take on events are wild, I’m deffo with you Scott on this one
My sister was by/polar and was often diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder. She drowned in her bathtub in 2016 coincidentally to this story. I have seen the Netflix documentary and when I watched it, Elisa and her actions in that elevator 100% reminded me of my sister during a manic episode. There were times my sister had left the house only to be found after hours by police in some random office tower or some such place. How she got in we never knew. My thoughts when watching the show were that I could see my sister doing this exact thing. Finding her way into this water tower and not being able to get out. Mental health is an incredible and sometimes sad place for people. Those of us with a sound mind (if that is even possible) will not ever be able to relate.
As a side note we are also from Vancouver BC.
My condolences and thoughts go out to Elisa's family.
My deepest empathy to you for your sad loss 🌹 Try to take comfort knowing your sister is at peace 🕊
I’m sorry this happened to your sister I could never bear losing my only sister I’m sorry I hope you’re taking it day by day
Do very sorry for the loss of your sister. ❤️
*so
Sorry for your loss
Thanks Scott for the coverage. My heartbreaks for her family. 😢
As a person that has seen two ghosts in my life, Heather's theory has merit to me but I really think she had an episode and put herself in the water tank. Perhaps she thought it was a hot tub or jacuzzi in her state of mind- why her clothes were off. It's truly sad, nevertheless.
I agree with you , I believe she was going through an episode and got into the water tanks herself the footage of her at the lift wasn’t right she was distressed, so sad 😞
Great video Scott…. 🙏
YOu dont need to be on illegal drugs to see hallucinations, someone who has gone several days without sleep can see things that are not there. We dont know if Elisa's medication included sleep aides. So I am going to go with Scott's theory. We all love a good ghost story, I too would like to lean more towards a supernatural, but simply put the facts here- speak for themselves.
When my gdad died in 2015 I suffered with horrible stress anxiety I went blind and was seeing all sorts
Thank you what beautiful cemetery and I don’t know anything about it and about her and great video scott
Gave me goosebumps when you mentioned her birthday..she was born on 30th april..thats my birthday as well..she def looked like she was hiding from someone/something in video clip..if a MH episode did she think going right up to the roof would keep her safe?..she has saw the tank & climbed in or jumped in not realising it was full of freezing cold water..her body would have went into shock & she didn't manage to get out..sadly the only person who knows what really happened cannot tell..bless her & her family ❤
What a sad story. That place should have had more cameras. I've watched grown men try to retrace her steps and have trouble climbing those outside steps to the roof. However my aunt was 5' nothing and And when her dementia was bad she could push me over. I'm 6' 2 so she had the mint stream who knows if she had been in a bipolar the polar manic episode and was off her meds she could a very well done incredible feats like climb ladder and open the water tank door still, So odd. Terrific video!!!✌
I suffer from Bipolar I and have taken medication for a decade. There have been numerous times when I have experienced manic or depressive episodes where my behaviour has bordered on psychotic. Sleep patterns can also be disrupted, sometimes for days on end. During these times I have had hallucinations, ie hearing and seeing tings,, and cannot differentiate between reality and fantasy. All though they are rare, they do indeed happen, and if poor Elisa was going through one of these type of episodes, she would be capable of anything. I look at the elevator footage and see someone experiencing a breakdown of some sort. If she thought she was in danger and someone was following her, it would make perfect sense to her to flee and hide where she thought she’d be safe, even in a water tank. It wouldn’t have sounded crazy to her at this time. My thoughts go out to her mum and dad, and I hope they can find some peace in the future.
Thanks Scott and Heather
Hi Scott I love your videos you are absolutely the best I absolutely love your videos. 💕💯
This case is baffling. I think she was either murdered or she had a supernatural encounter with a nefarious presence. I don't believe that there's anything simple about this and the police often shut down cases because they don't really want to do the heavy work that a complex case requires. People, including police, don't always like to think deeply and want things to be simple. It's easier for murderers to carry the body of a petite young lady up a ladder than it is for said petite young lady to unlock a locked door without a key, pick up a heavy lid to a water tank, take her close off, and put herself in the water tank, and cover up the tank with herself in it. We also have no idea what was really happening in that video. It's always taken out of context because no one truly knows.
Correct. We don't know.
As someone who has bipolar disorder, I can confirm you could slip into a state of psychosis if the disorder isn’t properly treated, undiagnosed, or if the person isn’t taking their meds. You can experience hallucinations and hear voices during psychosis. I experienced something similar in 2019. That’s actually what led me to stay at a psych ward where I was properly diagnosed. Sometimes even you are taking your meds, you may not be taking the correct ones. It’s varies from patient to patient. I do know SSRIs don’t typically mesh well with people who struggle with bipolar disorder due to the chemical imbalance in our brains. It’s a bit complicated 😅 I don’t know if anyone has pointed this out already, I apologize if I’m being repetitive, but I hope this helps! 😁 great video!
The little engraved portrait of her on her stone is very nice.
Hi Scott I love your tapes and your work God bless you Greetings from Miami Florida 🙏 😊 take care
Very beautiful video, very respectful the way you do the video about Elisa Lam. Very sad
This story still shocks me and confuses me and makes me sad
This story has always fascinated me, thanks Scott 🇮🇪❤️
R.I.P Elisa Lam Scott can you please look into the Keneka Jenkins case I think you should do a video on her as well ty Scott
Yes!
Thanks Heather and Scott. I'm with Heather on this one.
Excellent you left the water alone. I was screaming through my phone for you guys not to touch it😂🤣😂🤣 Its actually an offering to the water spirit. On its journey through the afterlife it is said ones soul get's thirsty so hence the water (eerily such deaths are usually water deaths like drowning, boat accidents in lakes or rivers etc)🙏🏾🙏🏾 I am actually shocked heather did not know that. It's a major spiritual thing. The equivalent to placing coins over a dead persons eyes so they can pay the ferry toll to get them to their final destination after death... The underworld. Be safe out there!!! Stay blessed!
Hi Scott, thank you fro covering Canadian related events. I feel we don't get enough coverage from UA-camrs but you're doing it justice. That said, I think I feel like I have some personal and intimate knowledge to comment on this and it's that most Asian families do not address mental illness. She may have had it for a while but the parents are in denial or aren't giving mental illness any credence and allow it to get out of control. Really sad because my own sister also suffers from episodes and doesn't feel like she is sick, much less need help. She was one of those people who didn't get the vaccine and her basis was that she heard the internet people say it's unsafe not from some well founded medical understanding.
The water tank lids look heavy so how could she put the lid back on the water tank if she's inside it looks to heavy for her to move and pull back on I saw this case on a video called Anna Solves. great video Scott & Heather
The lid was never put on. It was open when they discovered her.
@@burtreynolds2969 yup! And even if it wasn't, the lid wasn't heavy. Can't remember the exact weight that was mentioned but i do know that it wasn't heavy at all.

Another great video Scott, always respectful and informative.
Very sad story. Hello heather. You know both of your theory’s are interesting.
I agree with Scott here. And hotels/motels are infamous for many deaths (murder/suicides) so the incidents at the Cecil hotel are nothing special. There are online articles about hotel deaths and why it happens.

Definitely eerie how she got up to the water tower. RIP to her.
I remember watching the Netflix documentary on her. I guess we will never know for sure what happened
Brilliant video, as always. Very sad case for everyone involved. I think the simple explanation is that she was experiencing psychosis, which included visual/auditorial hallucinations. Very frightening for those who experience them. Unfortunately, on this occasion,it resulted in her death.
Thank you for doing this and. and showing these videos without using ghost stuff like most people do
Great video so many unanswered questions how did she get up there abs my own question seeing how she looked so small and skinny how would she of lifted what I would guess was a heavy lid to the tower?
