My Mom used to make these. She wasn't a crocheter and the was the only thing she crocheted. I have been looking for a pattern because my sisters want some. A big thank you. I will make some for them and it will be a great memory of our Mom.
I used make so many of these,I got smaller yardage cause people liked variety.but I heard some buy large yardage roll tight and husband cut with a electric saw in his shop.
Yes. I buy 10 yards and then cut the strips. My daughter and I do it together. I have a cutting table and I use a rotary blade to cut it. My mom used to lay it out on the floor across the house and cut it into strips with a scissors, I wouldn't recommend that method. (too rough on the knees) I know a lot of people cut it and tie it, but I just think they wouldn't last as long, more chance for it to come apart. Let me now if you have any other questions and thanks for watching!!
Ok thank you very much! I agree with cutting and tying knots that it wouldnt last as long. So you cut the whole thing in a continuous strip? Just making sure i undersatnd it right. Your video is easy to follow and am so excited to try it

So glad I can help. My mom taught me to crochet and gave me the pattern of how to make them. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Thanks so much for these directions! Someone gave us one of these and we loved it. They’re the perfect size for my small hands!
No problem! Thanks for watching! 😊
That looks really hard with 3-1/2” strip. I commend you for that! I use 1-1/2” strips on mine and my fingers feel it lol.
Hi! I can only do a few at a time. The older I get the harder it gets. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
Love it!
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😀
Thank you for your tutorial!

The part on cutting the netting. Do you buy it by the yard and then cut 3.5 inch strips of it? Thank you!
