Hi, thanks for posting the review. Do you know whether this model supports borderless printing?

Hi! Thank you :-) I have actually not tried it, but according to the specifications at www.hp.com/gb-en/shop/product.aspx?id=5d1b1a&opt=bhc&sel=prn#technical-details the printer supports borderless printing up to 8.5 x 11 inches or 210 x 297 mm. // Chris

@@GetThereFaster Thanks Chris. I had downloaded the manual (which doesn't mention borderless printing), but hadn't found those specs online.

@@hampellow6398 Ah, I see! They were actually pretty buried within a few google searches. I couldn´t find it either upon a first browse on the website :-) // Chris

Constantly disconnects from WIFI, Have to use the USB.
    Print quality is basic.
for some reason when i select photo paper the print quality looks awful/ unusable
    App is VERY slow.
Im getting around one photo print in 2 minutes.

Hi! Thx for the input and sorry you had a not ideal experience with the printer. It is indeed a somewhat lighter printer compared to the more expensive photo ones. However I did not found the prints to be that bad, specially for the price. However the app needs some work and I did have a few Wi-Fi- issues as well. However those solved themselves after a restart. // Chris

@@GetThereFaster yeah the prints not bad, just basic.
I thought I could print on vinyl on this, but ink doesn’t dry. So I guess not.
I’m sure it’s a malfunction with the photo paper. Or I’m doing something wrong.
      Just generally high maintenance.

@@hiyorisarugaki1830 Might be worth testing another brand of photo paper etc.? How does the photo prints look on normal paper? However you´re probably correct about the vinyl though. But I am far from even a novice there so :-) Regardless of everything, hight maintenance is _not_ what you want in a printer. It should just work. I only did my testing for a couple of weeks, so I might not have gotten the full, more long term picture either. // Chris

It's strange that you comment on photo print quality without using photo paper. 😂😂

Hi! Yeah that’s a fair enough point 👍🏻 Will do that next time! I would argue that even printing one normal paper gives some kind of hint on the quality though. And different printers also handles different photo papers differently with different outcomes. But will definitely look more into it :-) Thx for the input! // Chris

Hi. Do you know The difference on 5107 and 5106? Thank you. 😉

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  Рік тому +1

Hi! After looking through the spec sheets for both I can, apart from the different color scheme, honestly don't see a single thing that seems to be different between them. Was thinking it might be some regional differences or something, but both printers are indeed selling at least where I live so that is probably not the case. Although the 5106 seems to be the older of the two. I'm gonna try and put the question through to HP to see what they say :-) So to sum it up, great questions, sorry for my lack of good answer :-D // Chris
