Such things happened in many their countries but not China.

It's currently winter in China, snowing in the north but pleasant weather in the south of China. If you enjoy hot weather then visiting China during their summer (June - Aug) is a good time. I personally find visiting in October to be the best as the weather is sunny but not too hot
IT's always all season year around to traveling China, because China is very vast and diversity. It's can be fronze in North and surf in south at same day. But, should be avoid to traveling during chinese holiday which very crowd and all cost increased.
I live in a South East Asian country and it's best not to travel during festive holidays because wherever you go, it'll be packed with people. I have never visited China but I presumed it'll be the same there, what with 1 billion+ people.
