अप्रैल 1917 में महात्मा गाँधी ने चंपारण सत्याग्रह शुरु किया। उन्होंने न सिर्फ सत्याग्रह आंदोलन का सफल नेतृत्व किया बल्कि लोगों को 'सत्याग्रह' के मूल सिद्धातों से परिचित भी कराया। चंपारण में गाँधीजी ने लोगों को भय से लड़ना सिखाया, शिक्षा का महत्व समझाया और साफ सफाई से रहने के लिए प्रेरित किया। सौ साल बाद चंपारण सत्याग्रह कितना प्रासंगिक और आज के परिपेक्ष्य में इसका क्या महत्व है, देखें विशेष के इस अंक में।
Mahatma Gandhi led the Champaran Satyagraha successfully. He started his first Satyagraha in April 1917 and set many examples.
