Here is what The Great Eastern FX CO say about the XO.
    ABOUT THE PEDAL
Thank you for purchasing the XO Variable Crossover, a unique pedal with some unique capabilities!
The XO is a variable crossover and dual-band effects loop. It splits the input signal into high and low frequency bands that can then be processed separately via two independent send and return loops.
    What is a crossover?
At its simplest, a crossover is two lters - one high-pass and one low-pass - that are designed to overlap at a specic frequency.
Crossovers are commonly used in hi- speakers and PA systems to ensure that specic speakers receive only the appropriate portion of the audio signal.
A low-pass lter (LPF) allows only the low frequencies to pass to the woofer, while a high-pass lter (HPF) sends only the high frequencies to the tweeter. Both speakers are happy and, provided the crossover is properly designed, the listener hears only the whole, coherent mix.
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

A very useful pedal. I find a crossover is particularly effective with acoustic guitar and a solo performance. I've used a Rolls mini crossover with my acoustic to pass lower frequencies to a small bass amp unaffected while the higher frequencies go to an acoustic or electric amp with any effects. This keeps the bass notes clean and more defined. This pedal would definitely add some functionality. Just my 3 cents.

    This looks petty neat.
I wonder if it's possible to do a similar thing on a modeller with multiple paths, by splitting the path and sticking an EQ at the front of each split.
It would have been cool if they had an expression pedal input to control the crossover frequency.

I'm always looking to fill the part of both a guitar and bass player have tried different options, even adding a 2 string pickup with an independent output going to a octave pedal, I wanna try and see how usable this could be for me...

Could you please post something on improving your tone using a modeller?
