Yes travel is the 9th house because thats about expansion. 11th house can be about long distance travel, living abroad, new circles of people.
In my experience for example, people with 11 house moons often live in foreign countries from their birth place. ❤

@@Hex_tarot true! My moon is in Aquarius (11h house) in the 9th house and I live abroad! I don’t see myself going back to my motherland even during vacation
