Being an airtel user I had a complimentary premium subscription of wynk. But even that was not enough for me to keep using it. They just remove any song from their database. Local mp3 files can't be saved in playlist. Certain UI elements were non-user friendly.
Spotify suggestions are really #1 but Apple Music has caught up pretty fast especially with the introduction of Dolby Atmos ad Lossless ( yet to rollout in India ). I feel the output of Apple Music is better that Spotify but yeah Spotify and Apple Music are definitely Top 2 for me. I use both

But Apple music is the only service in india which provides Lossless/ Hi-Fi audio and also Dolby Atmos. Music quality is at its best on this. But the issue is, this app is not properly optimised for Android.
Spotify has no competition period. I found so many underground artistes from the Indian HipHop scene from its suggestions, like really the ones having below 4-5k monthly listeners with insane music production. Kudos to spotify.
I was using Gaana when no other choices were available and watched some English youtubers talking about Spotify , then I sideloaded Spotify on my android phone and created US account with VPN and I enjoyed it a lot , the UI was far more better than any other apps available at that time and after some years Spotify officialy launched in India and I am still using it now , but I've tried Tidal also for a year and Tidal HiFi's audio quality is too much good , real Flac and support for sony's 360 reality audio and Dolby Atmos makes it too great , it's quality is mind blowing , I hope that Tidal should also be launched in India
I really hope Spotify soon launches High Fidelity lossless audio streaming at 24bit/192Khz along with Dolby atmos spatial streaming. Amazon music and Apple music and Tidal already have it. And trust me if you have a hifi earphone, you can not go back from the sound quality of these. Hi resolution music is just peace 😌
24 bit and 192 khz Bro then every song would be above 50Mb and even above 100Mb. And everyday, so many songs are released on Spotify. It would be way too difficult for them to maintain and store them😐

I think this list need to be updated due to following reasons 1) Zee music songs disappeared from Spotify 2) Saregama music disappeared from JioSaavn 3) Most bollywood songs unavailable in Gaana 4) SVF music songs (audio only mode) not available in YT Music I initially used JioSaavn then switched to YT music then to Spotify then again back to YT music for song disappearance issue

Used wynk , now upgraded to resso But both have problems Wynk- music quality is at the top but many songs are missing Resso - All songs, literally all are there. music quality is good but not comparable to wynk. Even at low internet speed song starts playing and gets downloaded in 1 or 2 seconds in resso.
I love Spotify and for that reason i always pay for premium 66INR per month with student discount . That Very High sound quality is just awesome also the music suggestions is op . I started using Spotify since 2017 before launch in India via VPN, I've followed so many artists and podcasts that I've created a whole social over there and I can't just switch to any other platforms directly, coz Spotify knowns my music suggestions from years . I'm trapped here and don't wanna escape from it .

I have Amazon music and Spotify both . The main problem with Amazon is that it lack many songs . Lossless barely makes any difference for most people. It's mostly a placebo effect. A better experience can be achieved by using an eq app

All music platforms looks same ,old .💩. Search songs or playlists blaa.. blaa. blaa .. But in Resso open app & it starts playing , just scroll like reels to change . Even most of the time , when I open resso it plays that songs , what I want to listen 🎧 , according to my mood 🫠,
