In reality it was her longest relationship, all the boyfriends that Rory had, she was unfaithful with Jess, I think that not one of them was saved from the shadow of Jess in her life as someone who never left her heart and she from his heart.
this is absolutely true! jess was always such a huge “what if” in rory’s life and i believe they ultimately end up together whether we ever see it on screen or not.
it kills me that the minute they officially got together jess rarely got screen time. idk i feel like the minute rory got with dean or logan their screen increased drastically. they were apart of every other storyline.
THIS!!!!! we hardly got to see any of the positive parts of their relationship either, whereas with logan and dean we got to see a lot of them just being together without there being a plotline about some problem coming up. we see jess and rory TALK about watching movies and getting takeout together every night, but we never got to SEE any of that. :(
Rory and Jess did look really great together in Season 3 and 4. And they probably should of hade a lot longer relationship like Rory and Dean and Rory and Logan did. So I can understand what you mean.
I agree with you, and I do wish they had shown the more mundane sides of their relationship outside of the plot more often, especially with how short-lived it all was, because eventful things cannot happen everyday, it’s impossible. However, I would like to point out, out of the three of Rory’s love interests, Jess is the only one who really ever got screen time outside of his relationship with Rory since he was considered plot relevant as a main character long before he and Rory got together and due to his personal arc, where Logan and Dean are rarely if ever relevant or even shown outside of a scene with Rory. The only scene I can think of respectively that isn’t entirely-Rory-centric for either of the others are when Mitchum interrupts the weekend at Martha’s Vineyard and chews Logan out, and when Dean’s bachelor party takes a turn south when they stop at Luke’s. But in both cases, these scenes still affect their relationship with Rory in some way, as that conversation with Logan forces Logan to move to London, calling off Rory and Logan’s post-graduation trip to Asia, and causing them to become long distance, and Dean’s drunken rambling are specifically centered around his still being in love with Rory despite the fact that he’s marrying another one the following day, which sets up all of the potential for the affair later in the season. Whereas Jess has scenes specifically in relation to Luke that either don’t or have minimal effect on his dynamic with Rory, or that are specifically dedicated to his personal arc, which by proxy has a rippling effect and causes some changes in his relationship with Rory. But in that case, it’s not the purpose of the scene, rather a side effect. So… that’s just something to consider when referring to Jess’ time on screen, since that means they had to divide both Jess’ screen time and Milo’s time between scenes with Rory, scenes with Luke, and the rare scene by himself. Where the other two were really only ever present alongside Rory.
@@golddvstwomvn absolutely true and a great point (also the reason why i love jess so much - he is far and away the most developed and dynamic character of the three rory love interests)
I don’t care what others say but JESS IS THE BEST BAD BOY IN THE HISTORY OF TELEVISIONNNNNNNN Milo Ventimiglia played it so damn well😭😵💫 I still swoon for him after all these years
Jess was the best boyfriend she had. I mean as much as I love Jared, I didn't like Dean, and Logan was...okay... But I didn't love him. I kinda hoped that Rory had ended up with Jess. In my head cannon they did.
absolutely. in my mind, jess was there for her like no one else after she had the baby, and getting that support and stability she had always wanted from him made her fall back in love. and now they’re together and no one can convince me otherwise 😭
@@thateditplace youre so real for this because when i was making it i was like this is so not rory. the characterization of rory is not there with this song but its just cute and silly and a bit of fun yknow
I guess he gets better in later seasons but season 2, so far, I'm sick of his "nobody understands me, I'm alone in this horrible world". Like, boy, penny for your thoughts, improve those communication skills pls
oh absolutely and it only gets worse (much, much worse) before it gets better, especially the part about communication skills, he has next to none 😭 but he grows SO much, he has SUCH a great character arc, and by the end of the show i would actually marry that man and i do think at that point he’s an excellent match for rory. but in seasons 2-4 it is absolutely rough, you’re right about that. 😬
I want to love this video but I just can’t disassociate this song from Fifty Shades, man 😂 It’s a good song, which is what pisses me off, but I can’t separate this one the way I can some of the other songs from the soundtracks. I don’t know WHY.
yeah that’s understandable 😭 luckily i first heard this song in an edit and didn’t know it existed before that so i bypassed the fifty shades association 😅
@@plantcrime I actually first heard it as a Nightcore version (God, I was one of *those* kids) but it kicked off a phase that I… should not have gone through at, like, 13. So… There’s that.😅

Ofc the best relationship she had lasted the least amount of time
They were endgame
honestly
@@yashikabhalla5245 almost everyone could see that , just them being blind sighted 😂

I liked Dean enough, but he wasn't my favorite. And I never had a huge problem with Logan.

@plantcrime finishing season 4 here, it's been a hell of a ride. I'm never underestimating self-help books again, but he is still whiny
