It was a great concept for warning youth not to trust strangers no matter their good intent. This movie just gave us a lot to think about then showed the pyscho didnt actually follow hos own values when he wanted to assault more women.

Virtue is about living the good life! People who don't understand see it as limiting compared to the freedom of the amoral, but a virtuous man CHOOSES virtue! And, in the end, who would choose to live a bad life if he had a choice? Studies confirm that religious people (almost any religion!) live happier, longer, and more productive lives. If it were a pill, atheists would be BEGGING to take it!

I think the argument of the-devil-made-me-do-it, therefore it's not my fault AND god-says-it's-acceptable, therefore you can't punish me for doing it. Are both senseless drivel.
Both completely ignore the integrity of taking personal responsibility, and the ethics of questioning consequences of our actions. God and Devil cannot do anything to us without God's permission. God is Almighty, not partlymighty. Everything no matter how evil is within God's power to accept and control.
In other words. The devil does nothing without God approving it first. None of it is the devil's fault. It is ALL God's fault, everything, all the time.

Only an atheist characterizes faith as 'belief without evidence'. The actual meaning of the word is 'merited loyalty'. A 'faithful spouse' is loyal because their partner is. A 'faithful servant' is loyal because they've been treated well. And a religious person with faith believes that the divine has EARNED their loyalty by making them, the world, and the good things in life.

    • @Saintjackoftrades

sorry, but you are describing two different words and treat them as if they are the same. Faith and faithful are two different words and while somewhat related, have different meanings and definitions.
For instance the same goes for "thought" and "thoughtful". A thought isn't kind or considerate, being thoughtful is.

    • @MichaelWilliams-eq4kt
      @MichaelWilliams-eq4kt 19 днів тому +3

This is accurate. Biblical faith is confident trust in the Creator based upon consistency of character and promises kept. This is why scripture states that "even the demons believe" God exists and goes on the articulate that they are rebels who resist God despite knowing he exists, being faithless or distrustful of his character. God does not call people to believe He exists but to "taste and see that the Lord is good" by obeying His commands so that one might have life in fullness. People have discovered the concept that relationship must be based upon trust. This was always the repeated message of scripture - trust in God and live that out through obedience - and the reason the atheist cannot have relationship with God and know that He exists is because they accuse His character and deny that He keeps His promises. No surprises but they can't seem to find the God who very clearly states "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble" and "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart."

@@MichaelWilliams-eq4kt To be proud is not the opposite of being humble. To point out inconsistencies is not the same as being proud and is also not the opposite of being humble.
Let me rephrase your point about atheists:
The reason the atheist can not have a relationship with God, is because God doesn't exist to the atheist. The atheist has never met or seen God and has no real reason to even believe that God exists.
You are right, that if you are determined to convince yourself that something is a certain way, you are likely to do so. So if you "search for something with all your heart", you can find it, whether it is real or not. The mind is a peculiar thing.
      Edit:
Here's a question for you: If God is real, omnipotent, and benevolent, why have they made it so that atheists do not experience their glory? Why has God made it so that atheists do not notice God's presence in anything? Doesn't that seem cruel to you?

It’s a cult… a Loving Father pours out the Holy Spirit and it’s power/gifts on all not just men
That’s what the True Word teaches

Worshiping Jesus Christ is good, but you need the Holy Spirit to truly understand Christ. Read the new King James version Bible for yourself and Look at all the things Jesus himself said. “You are saved by faith not by works, so one can boast. However, faith without works is dead.” -Jesus
