The paint job and the queue re-themeing has done this ride wonders. Though the queue loading from the front to the back is weird and causes a massive backup on crowded days.
@@toliveandfry no before it was just the house there was nothing in the queue. Inside the station there used to be minimal theming like a few portraits, antique furniture, and a mirror
The whole thing looks amazing. This like tier 1 level upgrading from the turn off of the midway through the entire que. We didn't have this a few years ago. This is why FT remains the best looking park in the chain, they just get it.
POV videos of this ride always make it look so rough, but it really isn't. Its one of my favorite rides at the park and was my first launch coaster! The new attention to theming coming to SFFT is fantastic and I was so happy to see this ride updated.
Okay I got on it today and its beautiful. The station and queue garden is so far beyond anything else at a six flags, its really great. Also, a mom and her 7 year old son were arguing about whether the ride was a roller coaster or a haunted mansion ride. The mom convinced her son that it was only a haunted mansion right up until the launch... the boy reacted "this isnt a haunted mansion... this is AWESOME" I laughed the whole ride.
This has been my favorite ride at Fiesta Texas for many years, and being a huge fan of spooky stuff, the queue redesign and new paint scheme only made me love it ten times more.
That was Sooooooo Exciting for people like me who are Disabled and will probably never get a chance to experience that...🙏 Thank You❤️ Brand New to ur channel hon and Subscribed❣️
I went on it for the first time today, the launch was so fast I couldn't scream! I also felt like I'd hit my head on the rails. Other than that, ITS AWESOME!
Imagine this ride completely enclosed with special effect horror animation lighting, sound effects from the film and bursts of Co2 cryo fog as you ride. It would change the game of horror themed coasters.
They say a lot of random things to catch you off guard, so you don't know when you're going. And, sometimes they count, but launch you on a number you don't expect.
Oh, my. Poltergeist looks amazing with that updated queue and station. And it looks like it got a new paint job too! 🤯 Awesome! Never been on it but when I go I watch it.
I found this a one to be surprisingly intense, which i wasn't expecting at the time. In fact, I greyed-out on it. Looking forward to riding it again soon. Say, wasn't San Antonio in January quite COLD outside?
AMAZING ! I love going on this ride and if your a local and come in on certain days you can ride it repeatedly lol until kicked off for not enough people lol
I stay in Arlington.. we have SF over Texas….. they literally have nothing this nice in our park!!!!! Super jelly and ima have to make a trip down to San Antonio!
SFFT is my home park. I do love this ride and I appreciate how SF has kept it maintained well. The older headrests were terrible. The track is a little bumpy, but this footage makes it look worse than it really is. One of my fave coasters at the park and I remeber having to wait 1-2 hours to ride it when it first opened. Now, it's often
Can’t tell for sure, but I feel like Rock n Roller coaster at Disney Hollywood studios is a strikingly similar layout as well. If not identical, they’re quite close.
This is so interesting. Working at universal I guess I’ve been spoiled to have a scene before a launch like hulk or velocicoaster. But I have an appreciation for how raw it is at six flags. You literally sit down, buckle up, go. The ride looks really enjoyable for it’s kind of sketchiness and shimmies.
Looks fun! However, I want to reassess my life choices while the coaster climbs to the top of a hill....and at least regret the the one that led me getting on the coaster as it crests the top 😆
This model coaster really reminds me of a modern version of the old Pinfari Galaxi models a little bit. One of these would be a great fit for a small, older park with not much room.
Halfway through the track there used to be a very small section with brakes in it that I see they removed as well. was kinda nice to have that quick relief from the g forced 😅
Holy sh*t even the waiting area is all redone. it literally used to be your basic 10ft off the ground launch bay with misters all over the place. it’s been like 5 years since I’ve gone I might just go to San Antonio just to see this ride again lol
Such amazing theming for the queue line but would have loved to have seen more around the coaster. Even just spooky music would have added to the experience, but 100% would love to ride this
Yeah, both FOFs opened in 96’ and Six Flags bought this and Jokers Jinx as outdoor clones in 99’ Only other difference, these have 6 cars per train instead of 5 and no midcourse break run.
This is my favorite ride at six flags fiesta texas is the only park iv ever been to and I'm I'm happy that it is my home park because of everything I have seen online its the best but iv never experienced other parks I'm going in a couple of days and I'm super excited also I think they repainted it because I remember the supports being bright yellow
This is very similar to Kings Dominion Outer Limits for the exception that it is inside and came out in 1996 and this one is outside in 2022. But the paint job is awesome.
Love the sound the coaster makes when the train is launched out of the station. It has quite a futuristic feel to it with those LIM’s. If only LSM launch coasters made a similar sound…

i ridden it, it was pretty fun one of my top 5
i have
I wish I could but I'm british
Went to SFFT 2 weeks ago and it was closed because it was “too cold” 😪. Only coaster from that park I haven’t ridden. When was this POV recorded?
They already opened for the season?
This queue is fantastic! It shows how much detail is put into the full experience for Fiesta Texas rides.
Sometimes Fiesta sucks with most the rides no being functional or broken down.
@@KittyKAT666Meow thats more on understaffing instead of rides actually being broken down
@@LocalNeer sometimes it’s weather issues too bro
The paint job and the queue re-themeing has done this ride wonders. Though the queue loading from the front to the back is weird and causes a massive backup on crowded days.
It's much better when the line is in the building instead of outside
The paint job looks great! I’m glad so many parks in the chain are repainting their rides.
Has it always been this heavily themed though?
@@toliveandfry no before it was just the house there was nothing in the queue. Inside the station there used to be minimal theming like a few portraits, antique furniture, and a mirror

Six flags in Atlanta is horrible
POV videos of this ride always make it look so rough, but it really isn't. Its one of my favorite rides at the park and was my first launch coaster! The new attention to theming coming to SFFT is fantastic and I was so happy to see this ride updated.
This is literally haunted mansion but a thrill ride this looks so fun
I thought the same thing!
Same model as flight of fear at kings dominion and kings island that are indoors! This one has great theming.
Haunted Mansion right down to the wallpaper!
Foolish Mortal and all lol
Ikr
The track layout is amazing. I would love to ride it. Thank you for sharing the thrills.
Check out the twin in St Louis. Jokers jinx.
check out the BETTER twin flight of fear at kings island. you wont beat it. 10 times the ride of these outdoor versions.
That’s a really cool line/station.
Okay I got on it today and its beautiful. The station and queue garden is so far beyond anything else at a six flags, its really great.

one of my fav coasters ever, it's insane. the queue redesign is so nice
This has been my favorite ride at Fiesta Texas for many years, and being a huge fan of spooky stuff, the queue redesign and new paint scheme only made me love it ten times more.
My goodness that's a lot of ride in that small area! 👍
That was Sooooooo Exciting for people like me who are Disabled and will probably never get a chance to experience that...🙏 Thank You❤️ Brand New to ur channel hon and Subscribed❣️
its unusual to see so much theming for a six flags ride. its awesome and very well done 👍👍
I went on it for the first time today, the launch was so fast I couldn't scream! I also felt like I'd hit my head on the rails. Other than that, ITS AWESOME!

That's a random thing to say before launching the train. "Oh my God it's so hot in here" lol.

3:12 "Visual scan"
*girl starts screaming bloody murder*
"all clear~"
I am not a coaster fan but I love watching the videos y'all post.
About time! This is a great redo!
the lady on the mic must feel like the coolest person ever lol
I love the queue and the layout of the house leading up the roller coaster itself! That’s how it’s done for coaster based on something.
Oh, my. Poltergeist looks amazing with that updated queue and station. And it looks like it got a new paint job too! 🤯 Awesome! Never been on it but when I go I watch it.
Absolutely love the haunted house decor for this. amazing stuff.
The Que is pretty awesome 🤩
The launch on this ride is very loud too, which combined with the screams from the riders adds to the theme IMO.
I found this a one to be surprisingly intense, which i wasn't expecting at the time. In fact, I greyed-out on it. Looking forward to riding it again soon. Say, wasn't San Antonio in January quite COLD outside?
Quite the opposite it was mildly cold but that's from my location in San Antonio
Right at 2:24, the ride operator says, "Oh my gawd, it's so hot in here!" before launching everyone into the cold outside.
It looks fun to ride but the decor on the platform well done!
"Lift hill? What lift hill?" xD This looks amazing.
Wow! This renovated Q-line looks AMAZING!....It was necessary that Six Flags created this kind of experiences.
It's exactly in my Q-zone
AMAZING ! I love going on this ride and if your a local and come in on certain days you can ride it repeatedly lol until kicked off for not enough people lol
This was the first upside-down coaster I ever did. Made me fall in love
Great theming here! 👍
Holy smokes they did A LOT to improve that Que.!!
Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!! That's all i can say because SFFT has really outdone themselves with the retheming and branding of Poltergeist! 5 Stars~!!
I stay in Arlington.. we have SF over Texas….. they literally have nothing this nice in our park!!!!! Super jelly and ima have to make a trip down to San Antonio!
NICE... No blasted brakes in the middle of the ride.. just straight moving.
i think this should have been a indoor haunted coaster !!!
This is essentially Flight of Fear at Kings Island and Kings Dominion. Both indoor.
One of my favorite coasters at Fiesta Texas! Love riding it at night too so cool!
SFFT is my home park. I do love this ride and I appreciate how SF has kept it maintained well. The older headrests were terrible. I have to admit, that's a really cool queue for a roller coast. You only see stuff like that in the Roller Coaster Tycoon series.
Or universal studios
The paint job and the que is top notch. I wish Six Flags America did the same for Jokers jinx
I seriously can’t get over the detailed theming efforts of a six flags attraction😳🥴😂
Half the price of Disney so there's that
Disney is overpriced underwhelming trash
…I JUST now realized that this is basically a clone of flight of fear 😅 so I guess that’s what it looks like when it’s not in the dark!
its a literal clone. same as Jokers Jinx in SF America
The only difference that I see is there is no mid-course brake run, just straight track.
Can’t tell for sure, but I feel like Rock n Roller coaster at Disney Hollywood studios is a strikingly similar layout as well. If not identical, they’re quite close.

Velocicoaster
Looks fun! However, I want to reassess my life choices while the coaster climbs to the top of a hill....and at least regret the the one that led me getting on the coaster as it crests the top 😆
I remember riding this ride in the 90s at Astroworld in Houston Texas great ride.
No sir this ride was never at Astroworld
Ha ha this is flight of fear at King's Island with the lights on. 👍
How do you put that stuff in the background on your videos
MY FAVEEE. Best ride there fr. 💯🔥💪🏽
Nice work!
5:03 Great 👍👍👍👍👍👍
That’s one heck of a station.
I love those little Mister McGoo cars you ride in.
Looks better at night right before closing
No queue times and the ghoulish lights adds to the theme!
This model coaster really reminds me of a modern version of the old Pinfari Galaxi models a little bit. One of these would be a great fit for a small, older park with not much room.
Really enjoyed your video!
I liked the inside where you wait better hahahahaha the walk up there took more time than the ride lol
Fiesta Texas is the best six flags, change my mind.
This ride looks very fun!
This is basically haunted mansion, the coaster!
bro the que is fire
Nice paint job!
I love Haunted House themes, this coaster is just great, it's beautiful. The Haunted House que line is great.
Such amazing theming for the queue line but would have loved to have seen more around the coaster. Even just spooky music would have added to the experience, but 100% would love to ride this
And the coasters almost done and it’s getting ready 🌟 stain on the print 🌟 mom’s spaghetti 🍝
Can we appreciate the workers real quick?
"Oh my god it's so quiet in here"
-starts ride-
This looks so much better
That was one nasty ass start to a ride!! Wow!!!
Great que and theme
Is this the same layout as flight of fear? It looks extremely similar to other premier rides launched coasters
I was thinking Jokers jinx at SFA
Yeah, both FOFs opened in 96’ and Six Flags bought this and Jokers Jinx as outdoor clones in 99’ Only other difference, these have 6 cars per train instead of 5 and no midcourse break run.
Yessssss
What kind of launching system does this use? I didnt see LSMs or a launch cable
What a difference a steady-cam or image stabilization might make to this post.
I hope one day they put this indoors and theme the actual layout.
flight of fear
I have to agree with another commenter and say this is a lot of coaster in such a small area. Very cool.
Isn’t’ this the same track layout as Rockn Roller coaster at Disney but outside?
COOL layout!!!!!
Thanks for sharing
It kind of reminds me of Batman and Robin the chiller at six flags Great adventure!
This is my favorite ride at six flags fiesta texas is the only park iv ever been to and I'm I'm happy that it is my home park because of everything I have seen online its the best but iv never experienced other parks
I'm going in a couple of days and I'm super excited also I think they repainted it because I remember the supports being bright yellow
Is January a good month to go to Fiesta Texas?
what is the music name in the outtro?
This is very similar to Kings Dominion Outer Limits for the exception that it is inside and came out in 1996 and this one is outside in 2022. But the paint job is awesome.
I was gonna say the same thing!!!
Flight of fear you mean
What did you use to film this?
Excellent footage 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🥂🥂🥂🥂🍺
Great ride!
ONe of the best rides ever.
Just what the world needs another unstable coaster POV.
Love the sound the coaster makes when the train is launched out of the station. It has quite a futuristic feel to it with those LIM’s.
If only LSM launch coasters made a similar sound…
Oh wow they upgraded the look since the last time I went (2015) it now shows more interest at first glance
How are you able to bring your camera on the ride?
Gopro mounted vest?
what camera did u use?
I got to ride it in 2020 and it was way different theme wise, hah. Great ride.
Is that a trim brake right after the launch? RIP if it is.
Did they recently update the themeing? I swear it didn't look like that ten years ago.
That was my credit number 100 and I loved it 😍
That has some real good theming for six flags
What do the monitors in the queue line say? Or do they show looney tunes cartoons?
