The husband of my 3rd Great Grandmother, William QUINN was killed at Coleto Creek in the battles leading up to the Massacre at Goliad. William Quinn was born in 1794 in County Clare Ireland ad was one of many Irish born Texan Patriots who fought in the Revolution. BY THE WAY... Many of the Goliad Garrison were also Roman Catholic...
They were executions, not a MASSACRE folks. They were executed, lawfully, because they came into Texas, a MEXICAN province, armed illegal aliens from the States to make an undeclared war upon Mexico. they got what they deserved. And let's don't forget the "Angel of Goliad" Ms. Alvarez, who saved over 100 Anglos from Mexican firing squads!
@@carsonsanders8384 Legally,, a 'war crime' did not exist at that time. They were armed pirates, and at THAT time, pirates were hung, good and proper like. The pirate also denotes bandits, troublemakers on land, not just at sea. We must not think, nor apply today standards with those of the 1800s. They were legally executed, because they were armed illegals from the States, creating a war upon a peaceful Mexico.
Not accepting immigrants Into your country is racist Santa Anna should of embraced diversity not turn those poor immigrants away that were just looking for work and a better way of life.
