A superlative, intuitive, one-of-a-kind quarterback but an even better guy. As clutch as they come and truly beloved by his teammates. He and Walsh perfected the short-to- intermediate passing game. And anybody that doesn't think that Montana wasn't the same caliber of QB that Brady was or is doesn't know a damn thing about football. Always look forward to the times when he and Patrick get together.
Joe Cool!! The legend himself. What a great leader and person. Good to see you again Joe!! What a winner and cool personality. Walsh was helluva coach and task master. God bless Bill Walsh!! Long live the legend!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆 SB Winner
@@thegoat164 if Brady had the playerS Montana had he would have 10 Superbowl rings. joe is great but he's 1 step down from the all-time great TB12 ! BABY!
Joe Montana was and still is one of my childhood heroes. He has such a positive attitude but he was fearless also.Always seemed like such a positive and all around good guy
A 49er faithful since Brodie, Willard and Washington, We had twenty years of Joe and Steve. And almost as much Bill Walsh. Probably never been two finer QBs back to back on the same team. Both regular guys and or a least as regular as super bowl winning, hall of fame QBs get. Lol
Hey Joe... remember my Aunt Carmen ...she worked at the Dry Cleaners...She was always a Forty Niner Fan....after your first Superbowl win she asked me if I wanted a photo of you autographed....I SAID...NAW AUNT CARMEN YOU KNOW IM A RAM FAN.... my brother Mark got one...I regretfully admit it! Montana, Certainly Marino and a few others from the 90's. WOULD TEAR THIS LEAGUE UP!!!! With the soft rules of cant cover the Wide Receivers and cant hit the QB. These guys would average 700 plus a game with 7-11 touchdowns a game.
Montana was my favorite QB growing up, but going back and researching NFL History...Otto Graham and Johnny Unitas a toss up between those 2 for GOAT, Graham was Johnny's QB coach for his 1st season or 2. Brady would get destroyed in any of their eras! Gets injured in 2008 and the NFL changed the rules right away! Montana once told Graham that he tried to emulate how he played
Joe should of got some extra money by saying something like, "when I get Guinnessed my favorite guinness to guinness has got to be the standard guinness of Guinnesses" 🤣🤣🤣 Pat mahomes is making 500 million cause of players like you
@@carolynparral8434 what??? Compared to now? Just watched a segment on Dan Patrick with Joe Montana....he disagrees with you. Go watch the segment, you might change your mind.
@@stevendufrane2699 Hey no problem. Although I don't think Montana would say anything negative about Rice. Check out the Rice episode of "A Football Life". Some intersting insight.

Joe turned quarterbacking into an art form. Walsh demanded it and Joe perfected it. He's still one of my all-time favorites.
Joe is truly the 🐐 of qbs undefeated in Superbowls and zero interceptions in Superbowls he is perfect in the golden land.
The original GOAT 🐐
Not sure I would want any other qb in a pressure situation! He definitely is the coolest ever.
Joe Cool! He will always be the best NFL QB to me...
No question
Joe Cool, always has been, always will be. Helluva QB

John Taylor should be in the Hall of Fane like Swann & Stalllworth. Taylor was the first Rice.

Walsh was a control freak.
I go back to when Deberg and Montana were battling for the starting job.
I'm old.

The true of all time 🏈 🐐
A real class act!
The real GOAT 🐐
G.O.A.T.
@WolfLarsen85
He definitely cost John Robinson a SB or two, people forget just how good LA was in the mid to late 80's
What a great, classy guy. Can't believe he still remembers the routes Taylor and Rice ran in the 1989 super bowl.
He is cool but seems like a down to earth guy. True Champion

What would Brady done with Lawrence Taylor?
Avoid him like any other quarterback tried to do.
Brady has a knack for getting rid of the ball in under 2 seconds. Would of been a great thing to see though.
QB's still got hit late...Tom would be looking at the Ref for a flag every time and there would be none.
Bet Joe wouldn't kneel. He's a total class act.
Love this man
The real goat

Joe the man Montana..!!!
SUPER COOL JOE NUMBER ONE
If he started playing today with rice and the rules that are in place now, he'd own every record!
Imagine Brady with moss for at least 10year
That would have been insane, you have to remember rice caught 22 TDs in 12 games in 1987
Imagine this guy in his 20s playing on today's league
Why isn't Joe in the Booth on games?
Steve Bono never played for Bill Walsh.

Those guys played in the 80's mostly man. Their final years when they were a shell of themselves were in the early 90's
Bill Walsh would yell at the assistant coaches instead of the players. It was a clever tactic to make the players guilty and play better.
Such a classy man.
I wonder would he considered moving back into the Millennium Tower...lol🍻
