Exelente forma de controlar el motor , se puede variar el tiempo de energizacion se la bobina! . me parece que en el cilindro en la parte superior esta solo descuvierta por un tubo , de ser posible si deja libre la pare trasera el pistpn se va a desplasar mejor

A cylinder with a contact changes the moment the solenoid is turned on and off. If the solenoid has more time turned on, the speed is greater, if the time of the turned on solenoid is minimal, then the rotation speed is minimal.
That speed control is genius !

A connection diagram is shown at 2:12. This is a standard solenoid motor, but with adjustable solenoid on / off torque.
