AWWWW as a demisexual bakugou stan yes I do think he would be demisexual and obviously it’s partially influenced by me being demi, but it just fits!! the way he doesn’t like making many friends or emotional attachments, but once he IS your friend, he’s THERE, like he’s just as obsessive as midoriya, just not as verbal about it. he struggles to open up to new people, seemingly not just because of trust issues but also because people he knows better are automatically more comfortable to him (like how he goes to midoriya when he’s having a mental breakdown even though he obviously at that point didn’t consider them anything ‘close’. midoriya also said he was the only one who understood him in that moment.) bakugou has safe people. he’s just not the type to walk around saying “you are my safe person and I love you” nor is he probably the type to even really recognize this or trust his safe people, they’re just *there* when he needs the help. I think in his dating life this would bleed into only really feeling attraction, a feeling he’s probably not used to feeling, towards people he could actually see *wanting* to be attracted to. I think he’d only ever consider things like *love*, which are deep, vulnerable emotions that also don’t just come about immediately upon meeting someone, with people he actually wants a future with, but once he lets himself feel and listen to those feelings, I think he’d be an obsessive (/pos) and cuddly, affectionate partner. He’d never open himself up to someone who isn’t “the best” or isn’t someone he feels safe with and wants to put the effort of being a good partner into, so once he does find someone up to his “standards” he’d probably be very overpreparared. also the feeling like you don’t or can’t feel attracted to someone fully or at all because you don’t know them well enough or do’t feel a deeper connection just fits so well into his character.
@@audodd5813 yes, you’re so right!!! especially bakudeku, like think of the ANGST of midoriya being bakugou’s one and only despite him never treating him right before, and him realizing that, not so much he doesn’t have any other options, but that he doesn’t WANT all of the other people shouting his name, all he wants is the one person who’s truly been by his side all his life, and that being the motivating factor for him to treat midoriya with the same respect and love midoriya has always given him. because he doesn’t have to suddenly decide he wants to be nicer to EVERYONE to decide that he wants to be nicer to someone he loves more than anyone else. Also the fated lovers thing, soulmates, like YESSSS even for rarepairs, though, or people he hasn’t interacted with in canon, it still like, helps the plot along with a reason why he might be seeking them out over other people. because maybe he realized they’re similar in some way, he likes their style, he relates to them or something they said or did or the look in their eyes when they fight, it feels like a door opening for him and he seeks them out. of course that’s not to say there can’t be reasons other than demisexuality that two characters start hanging out with each other, it’s just nice because bakugou is so walled off and it would be both cute and convenient if that was because just,,, no one had struck him as someone he COULD be attracted to before so he didn’t really understand romantic love, or maybe he’s never experienced it before! It’s so cute lol
Yeah,that is honestly one of the biggest reasons I ship BakuDeku. There is a lot of evidence that Bakugo still cared very deeply for Iziuku. Like how they always seem to be sitting next to each other,or Iziku even sitting behind Bakugo. Or that fact given that it Bakugo truly hated Iziku he would have just left him alone. So I like to think he didn't even realise for a long time deep in the back of his head he cared so very much about Deku. Just further proof that he may be Demi. Also,if Bakugo is gonna be with anyone they have to be able to kick see lol
