- We know the Bible says “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord,” but how does that transition actually happen? What will we retain from our earthly body?

The present Heaven is not eternal is temporary as we await the return of Jesus Christ after Judgement there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth where we will spent eternity Revelation 21:1-4. Already the wicked, the false prophet, the devil will be in the lake of fire
There is no one in the Lake of Fire now! There is no fire in HELL till Jesus cast DEATH and HELL into the Lake of Fire. There would be no use for two places of Fire. Jesus tells everyone in John 3:13 that no one has ascended to Heaven yet.

Question? If we will know our husbands or wife's in heaven, what if someone was married more than once? Who would be their husband & who will be their wife?

Is passing gas (farting) in the bible? Is eating a candy bar in the bible? Are vehicles in the bible. Creamation has nothing to do with salvation or us getting our new bodies. God can easily put a cremated body back together. Also, cremation is cheaper than a coffin! Us the extra $ to give to your family to live on.
I agree as you said when we die our soul takes on the characteristic of a spiritual body. In which we are then within the spiritual realm. I love it when the Bible tells us that the dead in Christ does not die but sleeps. Sleep is used metaphorically. As a symbol. I would use the phrase sleep in Jesus The Christ.🌟

Your Soul and Body is one unit. God breathed His spirit of life in the body He had formed from the dust on earth. The Body and Spirit became a SOUL. read Genesis 2
Question ? What happens to the person who dies and truly does not know Jesus due to many circumstances-I believe they are saved.

I didn’t hear anything about repenting. Jesus says that if you don’t repent, you will all likewise perish.
Repentance was for Israel, because of their unbelief of Christ Jesus, Romans 10: 9 & 10 lays it out for us. It is not a license to sin and yes when we sin after that we must repent.
I can guarantee you that our loved ones in heaven are watching us! Thy even come to us in dreams to talk to us thru symbolism. I interpret drams and I have had BOTH of my parents mentioned BY NAM, fist and last in dream interpretations thru symbolism. My parents, and my mother, I never knew her, well, they are letting me know whom my wife will be one day. - I even have a photo of my Grandmother showing up in a photo I took in my house. She was letting me know that she was OK.
Can you imagine being in Heaven and watching a loved one being attacked and butchered, or suffering in some way while you are helpless to do anything? That wouldn't be Heaven , that would be Hell.
@@teksal13 I think that our loved ones whom would have to watch evil happen here on Earth are in a place where they understand WHY that evil needs to take place. You see, I was a very angry person from the age of 8 WEEKS the my mother and sister were killed in a car accident until after my Grandmother and Dad died, 42 years later. (Grandma was taken advantage of on her deathbed, while I watched it happen and was helpless stoping it) I had a friend whom was able to hear from Grandma in heaven and she relayed a message to me, thru him that sh now understood WHY I was angry for all those decades: it was a generational curse that could not b broken until after the death of her and my Dad. - Now that I SAW that my Grandma truly was communicating thru my friend, my own girt has been revealed in the fact that I can interpret dreams and symbolism and I now see my entire family communicating with me almost everyday!

@@markyinbelfastxx9088 One example is Daniel 2:31-45. Even if this verse isn't about what you asked, this shows that even people today can interpret dreams. Jesus appeared in another form to the deciples in Mark 16:12. Also "be ye I'm imitators of Christ"." I guarantee you that this is what my Family was doing, especially since I never knew my mother ad she was letting me know that she is watching me from heaven and this was her way of telling me that she loves me. I recommend that you read books outside the bible that will give you insite on HOW the bible came to be. The bible dormant talk about everything, or go into detail about A LOT of things, like, dream interpretation. The bible ONLY says that it was done. Put it this way, "when someone wants to challenge me just because the bible is't specific, I usually respond with, "Well, the bible does talk about wiping your butt after you take a crap, so I guess since you clean yourself, you are in sin because the bible isn't specific!" That gives some something to think about and it usually shuts them up.
I think I’ll write a book entitled “ PROVE ANY OF IT “. I am not a religious person but I don’t go around intentionally hurting anyone. I mind my own business & try to help others that need help. I have friends that are Christian and I work with an evangelical Christian. I do not judge them but they see it as their God given right to pontificate & judge me. All of you religious people whatever your religion or particular branch of Christianity CANNOT PROVE any of what happens when you die .

How about a Cloud of Witnesses Hebrews 12:1
the cloud of witnesses is a figure of speech referring to those who believed on the Christ. there are many figures of speech that often are taken as literal. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 16 speak of the DEAD in Christ. and are also referred to as asleep. The dead in Christ shall rise first but will not precede those who are still alive. Verse 13 says that i would not have you to be ignorant brother concerning them which are asleep that ye sorrow not even as others which have no hope. take some time to study the word resurrection, it is used 41 times in the NT. you have to be dead in order to be resurrected. So who are the “cloud of witnesses,” and how is it they “surround” us?
To understand this, we need to look at the previous chapter, as evidenced by the word therefore beginning chapter 12. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the rest of the Old Testament believers looked forward with faith to the coming of the Messiah.
The author of Hebrews illustrates this eloquently in chapter 11 and then ends the chapter by telling us that the forefathers had faith to guide and direct them, but God had something better planned.
Then he begins chapter 12 with a reference to these faithful men and women who paved the way for us. What the Old Testament believers looked forward to in faith-the Messiah-we look back to, having seen the fulfillment of all the prophecies concerning His first coming.
We are surrounded by the saints of the past in a unique way. It’s not that the faithful who have gone before us are spectators to the race we run. Rather, it is a figurative representation and means that we ought to act as if they were in sight and cheering us on to the same victory in the life of faith that they obtained.
We are to be inspired by the godly examples these saints set during their lives. These are those whose past lives of faith encourage others to live that way, too. That the cloud is referred to as “great” indicates that millions of believers have gone before us, each bearing witness to the life of faith we now live.

What if we pray for our loved ones who died suddenly that Jesus has Mercy on their soul and May they RIP?
According to these people the answer has to be no I'm afraid and I'm so sorry. Because you actually have to say and mean you give your life to Jesus. So your friend will be in hell and a mass killer who has turned his live to Jesus will be in heaven.

Exactly. I think it's because there is no hell(a pagan myth influenced the christian tradition) but the bible tells about the grave. And that's a place of silence and uncounsiousness. At the resurrection day saved and lost will all be judged. And the options are life and death. Not life just at difference places.

God breathed the breath of life into Adam and he became a living soul. When you die you do the final exhale. You give up the breath.
Mortality has not been swallowed up yet. The sting of death is still with us. You do not receive immortality at death.
What about the Messiah returning to the earth and the thousand year mellenial period on the EARTH. I don't know how ppl are getting to heaven. You don't have wings. You are not going to fly away. The meek shall inherit the earth.

Job 14:12 gives the answer, man lieth down and riseth not, shall not awake nor be raised out of their SLEEP. Vs 13-15 at the set time, a change will come, He will call our name first or second resurrection.
Then begins the thousand year millennial we reign as joint heirs with the Messiah on the earth spoken of in revelation. The meek shall inherit the earth. We are getting back what Adam and Eve lost in the garden.

This guy don’t know what he’s talking about. The Bible says there is no one in Heaven right now with our one and True God Jesus Christ! The Bible teaches that everyone will be in the grave until judgement day. Angels are the only many with God in Heaven. No evidence in the Bible that says when you die you go straight to Heaven. What would be the point for judgement day if people go straight to Heaven. This guys mom not dad is in Heaven they’re in the grave just like all the saints and Mary and all who followed Jesus

But seriously, here are a couple of smart guys (albeit old and sanctimonious) appearing in expensive suits, wearing make-up & pretending like they are important celebrities on TV. But they are not. Anyone these days can put on a television show and make themselves the Star - and likewise anyone can write a book and find a “publisher” among thousands of so-called publishers (or people can just self-publish). These tactics make them look cool, important, and smart. But they are not.
Here we have - NOT a spontaneous give-and- take question-and- answer session - but instead a totally planned out and scripted “interview”.
You will NEVER hear these guys explain how so many millions - perhaps BILLIONS - of men, women and children who were born into nations and cultures that were, and are still, dominated by other religious traditions SHOULD BE CONDEMNED to eternity of unspeakable pain and suffering.
Additionally, you will NEVER hear these guys discuss how on earth hundreds of millions of people are supposed to correctly select the RIGHT version of Christianity!
What if people with, let’s say, average-intelligence hear a compelling presentation for believing in the god of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and so they joined and commit their lives to this particular faith?.....or maybe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? .... or, the Roman Catholic Church? etc., etc..... OR, people are drawn to other major world religions and become Muslims, or Hindus, etc..... ???
Well, Ankerberg and his parade of expert “ theologians” and other “biblical experts” will NEVER answer these fundamental questions. They can’t with any level of rational thought applied.
And one last comment - these type of religious sales people like Ankerberg are basing everything they say on a collection of ancient writings which: 1) contain many troubling stories of atrocious acts in the name of God; 2) descriptions of events which contradict other accounts of the same events, and, 3) even accounts of Jesus’ life and his teachings contain multiple contradictions. This ancient collection of writings they say is “THE WORD OF GOD”. Ankerberg and others like him claim that the Bible is divine and all other religious traditions are roads to HELL.
These guys have no idea what happens to you 1 minute after you die. They want everyone to believe that their version of God’s plan of salvation is the ONLY ONE - and if you don’t buy their version you are going to burn in hell forever and ever.
This is arrogant, pathetic, and is a lucid example of desperation at its worst.

BTW, the Hebrew word translated by Christian monks as "soul" is nephesh, which means "living being". You will find this word used when speaking of animals as well. We do not possess a soul, it's what we are. Our spirit, on the other hand records everything that makes us, us including the changes we make in our spiritual lives.
Another point of consideration; the name Adam, in Hedrew is Adom, meaning human. Chase that for a while, it'll blow your mind where that leads.
