  • Neat little game and watch from the mid 80's! Basically is Scramble with some alternative graphics :) This came from a neat game store in Jackson MO called Gaming Grounds.

I'd say about 1987-88 I did chores for weeks to earn the money for this game, definitely got years of enjoyment out of it, I had the tiger & nintendo pocket games too but space crusher was my first & fav, thanks for posting, I'm a sucker for nostalgia!

I had this game more than 30 years ago.
It's glad to see/hear the game again.
    Thank you for the video.

A+ for the name. LOL LCD games do not have the charm of the LED/VFD games in my opinion but are just as fun. This one looks fun and has a great look.

This *is* the Pocket Scramble unit with a different name on the front--they didn't even change the LCD graphics. Most English-speakers seem to know the UK Grandstand version if they've seen it at all, but I had one branded by the original manufacturer (Epoch, I think) that my dad brought back from a 1980s trip to Japan. There seems to have been an Epoch "Space Crusher" variant too.
I wasn't as fond of the gameplay here as I was with some of the other games he brought back (my favorite was Casio's Cosmo Fighter, actually a first-person space shooter done as an LCD handheld in a really nicely-styled little case). It's OK.

Played this game like mad when I was a kid, got it for Christmas and played it for several years until the down button broke (on circuit board) tried soldering but yeah that didn’t work…
