Here in Detroit we haul out before Nov 1st, put up on stands, shrink wrap it. Winterize, and hibernate until April launch date...shrink wrapping has gotten way too expensive too
I am very interested in learning more information about how to prepare a trawler for haulout. My trawler is scheduled to haul out next week. Besides turning off the refrigerator at the AC panel, what other preparations did you make? I have heard some people close some thru hulls before the boat is lifted. This is to prevent the impellers from drying out. Wishing you a great cruise. Disney cruise lines is amazing.
Thanks for watching! We did not close the thru hulls. Tom says it’s very important to walk through the boat with your boatyard mechanic. Then do a very thorough inspection when you go to pick the boat up, as we found a couple of little problems, that have to be fixed. Best of luck!
Hey y’all ! Great job Captain Tom . Keep those smiles busy ❤
Thanks, friend!😀
Have fun on your cruise!
Thank you!

I can imagine that boat hibernation is no fun at all!
