Do you know that there is an invariable relationship between a cube and an enclosed sphere, where the side of the cube equals the diameter of the sphere? It is the number six divided by pi. I'll leave the math to you, but when you multiply the cube volume by 0.5236 you get the sphere volume. As a matter of fact, if you multiply the cube area by the same factor you get the surface area of the sphere. It so happens that the six (sides) of a cube divided by pi (6/pi) is 1.90986, and the inverse, (pi/6) is the factor 0.5236. Why isn't this taught as well?
My formula according to my resaerch and experment| The sphere volume is - circle area times diameter, or (pie radius squared) (diameter) And the sphere surface area is - circumference times diameter, or (2 pie radius) (diameter) Look at the comparison.
@@08_benawajavapermadi_xiimi74 If you have pi as 3.14 than Yanis is right, I bet yo entered pi straight up instead of 3.14 because pi is not exactly 3.14

for all of you guys complaining that why was him using a calculator he was probably thinking ahead because if he solved and some of the idiots here would complain that it takes so long and since he is a math teacher not a computer or an professor
Hi. I did end up using google to do a step by step formula and I found that even though the instructions said to use 3.14, it was not correct. So after I did use 3.141592654 then I got the answer. Thank you for this video and for your reply!
how did you get the 57,905? did you round off the 876? my computation is 57,876.48 this is how I solve it. 24x24x24=13,824 x3.14(pie) = 43.407.36 x4 = 173,629.44/3=57,876.48
for those that are complaining about him using a calculator how about you try calculate the volume of a sphere without a calculator yeah... its hard isn't it
I am not getting the same answer. I originally thought it was because I was converting 4/3 into decimal (1.33) and used that but still didn't come up with your answer. So I even used Microsoft Excel and used the fraction instead and still do not come up with the same answer. Then I thought it was because I needed to multiply it using 3 as an exponent and still am not getting the same answer. WTF am I doing wrong? Anyone?
Not the one that I wanted, even an idiot can solve this problem for only and just using the formula. You are not using the basic concept, all I want is how did it come up like that, why is it supposed to be 4/3, why it should be r^3. Explain it.
The reason why we use 4/3 comes from differential calculus which is beyond the scope of this example. And r^3 comes from the fact that it is a 3 dimensional figure
Thank you, yet I have found another depiction that represents an ideal explanation that suits well on my condition. I think, no one would defy themselves in order to know its provenance.
Use this formula to do it: Let's say 3/4 of 16 A=16/4=4x3=12 So 3/4 of 16 = 12 The formula(f) is this: n = a number F=n/4x3=3/4n Take the number divided by 4 multiplied by 3 and that is 3/4 of that original number.
My teacher presented this video and then she solved the given, using a marker. She wrote the solution so fast then the answers are not the same. My classmate said that our teacher was wrong turns out he was wrong and ended up embarrassed... Classmates: He used a calculator but he ended up being wrong😦😧
Yay! I know how to calculate the volume of a sphere now! I'm only 10 and doing 7th grade math. P.S. Don't use a calculator like him. Do The Actual Math.
oh matte.. he did the complete calculation step by step to get the Radius, which is the simpler one..and then skip completely the calculation to get the Volume..what a waste
He is supposed to teach us how to do it not just say this, caluculate, this, calculate, this caluculate Cause I am sure you are not allowed to use a calculator during an exam or test. ( not trying to be THAT rude) You need to actually TEACH this to us.
In this video we use _π = 3.141592654_
There are different variations of *π* you may use:
Using _π = 3.14_ the answer is: *57876.48*

3:26-3:29 lol why did he do that
Ankita Chaudhari gotta get that shadow in there
Instead of doing 4/3 you could just divide by 3 and get the same answer.
IDGAFWABGTSAM yeah thats why he got the wrong answer after dividing 13824 by 3 u have to multiply by 4 and then multiply by 3.14
I'm in year 11 and I've never needed to learn how to do this
Thanks I couldn't figure out what to do with the 3/4.
I have a question did he use four-thirds or four divided by three?
It is really understandable class!
wtf why did he use a calculator
dude....a math teacher is still a human not a computer...but he could still solve it without a calculator but would take much of your time idoit

The correct answer is 57,876.48 cm3
+aprinc1960 That's because you only used 3.14. but if you use pi on your calculator (π) you would get 57,905.8 cm3

Edit: I think it's called Planet Dolan now or something..
my calculator says 4/3x3.14(pi)x24^3 is equals to 57876.48
so the volume of the sphere is 57876cm^3
He used the longer verssion of pi, if you use 3.14 ur answer will be slightly different
Engineer would cross out Pi and three when doing (4/3)×Pi...
Why can't it just be 48 divided by 2?
I cannot understand that how is your answer and how you get that
What are u multiplying for pi?? 3.14 OR 3 or what cuz those slight different changes make the answer slightly different please tell us next time
wait that is only the estimated volume without multiplying the pi wouldn't that give you the exact volume of the sphere, im so lost right now!

But, if I only use 1.3 for 4/3 and 3.14, even if my answer is different from yours, would I still be correct?
I aint gon hold you @Bea R, i was thinkin the same thing
if you multply 1.3 by ur answer I'm pretty sure it'd be the same.
I am not understanding where the 4/3 came from and how to calculate that manually if you do not have a calculator? Please explain
first divide your answer by 3, and then multiply that answer by 4.
for example if I had 10 apples, and wanted to know 4/3 of it. I'd do 10/3 which is 3.333
And then I'd do 3.333x4= 13.332
Thank you so much I have a maths Assignment and I really needed help thank you :)

exactly what you said"math teacher not professor so stfu...i bet he knows way more then you pffffff
wat happens when im taking a test and i cant use a calculator
Shoulda studied.
you'r wright this person dose not know how to work it out without a calculator
Everybody writes down 4/3. I am beginning to think nobody knows why we write that.
ARDA OZKUT because 4/3 when you put it in a calculator it's a continuing number so you use 4/3 instead of 1.3333333333333 (continuing)
the estimated volume would be what he had put 57,905.84
I got 18432 but thank u for helping, I still suck
You have to multiply that by pi (3.14)
THE 3/4 PART IS CONFUSING....
Use this formula to do it:
Let's say 3/4 of 16
A=16/4=4x3=12
So 3/4 of 16 = 12
The formula(f) is this:
n = a number
F=n/4x3=3/4n
Take the number divided by 4 multiplied by 3 and that is 3/4 of that original number.
Why not include the math rather than using a calculator?
That answer is wrong it's 1808.64 cm cubed
why 1 half?
+Sal La
because half the diameter is the radius.
Thanks this is very helpful.
