I reckon this as Joe’s signature song which he’s telling us a melancholic love story, illustrating his singing skills passionately, blowing me away aching my heart ! A superb rendition which surpasses the original and keeps haunting me for days!

This is a love song on parting from the persona's love for a long time, probably forever. His partner is asleep and oblivious of his leaving her. He lopes she'll exonerate him hrom blame as he doesn't have much time left.
