- In the Aegean sea lays a mythical and mysterious island of Chios. Legend has it that Christopher Colombus and Homer are from the island. Also, it is notable for its production of mastic and small beautiful villages that thrive from it. On a day trip from Turkey, I visited parts of the island, including the village of Pyrgi, a volcanic stone beach, and a monastery. Here I provide a brief introduction to the 5th largest island of Greece.

Wow, thank you so much for such an interesting story and footage. I watched a few videos about Chios and your is the most detailed one. Truly a hidden gem, спасибо)
Glad it’s a useful video for viewers!
I recommend it to everyone, it is one of the must-see places. ❤
I’m working on another video from Chios as we speak. Will publish this week! Stay tuned!
I hope you had a great time on the island, some things you mentioned are debatable though.
Lot’s of ancient history is debatable. But I do love the island.
Браво!!!!!
Great documentary my friend of a very lovely island! Greece!
Thank you!
I love Greece ❤️
Greece is very interesting, above all, on these islands where there are no international airports and the tourist scourge has not reached them. There is the real beauty of our wonderful country. On the other hand, as a Bulgarian who loves this country, I would like to see good education for the people here, because it is tragic. Although it is increasingly urbanized and at least 50% of the population of Greece lives in Athens and Thessaloniki, in my 59 years, I see nothing European in the Greeks. The sexual revolution has not yet reached the country, the education is so tragic that I feel like in America. In this 2023 season, the hotel owner's daughter didn't know there was a war in Ukraine and mistook the Czech sales manager for a Russian woman. From 20% unemployed in the summer season a few years ago, the country is recruiting Poles, Germans or others to serve tourists. The tour guides are completely illiterate. A tragedy. I always feel like I'm in Turkey or an Arab country here. And this is a positive criticism, because I love Greece, as well as my own country, which the Americans are trying to turn into Greece.
That’s a lot of topics for discussion…
