    I apreciate your walking videos of the city and the neighborhood. I'm actually hospitalized at home and I didn't went outside for over a year now. It was surprising (although I suspected it would happen any time) to see my own house from the outside, in the video, along the places where I used to shop and hang out with my friends (like La Vereda). Glad to know you're happy to live in Mar del Plata.

    Looks like America beginning to colonise Mar Del Plata 😂 if I ever go there, I would never eat burger king or Starbucks, but I guess it's novel if you never had it. I prefer tje traditional Spanish style coffee shops and Italian food. Can't beat the best 👌 🙌 😎 looks super beautiful there, wish I was there

    22:57 Charly García and Nito Mestre, pop stars in the '70s. Charly continued to do good music in the 80's.

    I love watching your videos of mar del Plata right at the end you were in the area I grew up in right by the "pileta cubierta" en la calle Blvd Maritimo. Good times I live in Boston now have been here for 20 years. I've been in Vegas many times love the Mandalay Bay pool. Someday I will return to Mar del but not for a long while.

    Good video! Since you have moved to a location that is 30 minute bus ride away from the beach - is the rent a fair bit cheaper? How much would a house rent out there furnished and non furnished? The streets around your house looked really nice!

    The prices seem steep for the locals ($90 for local brand athletic shoes) isn’t there a recession right now ?

    • @jenniferkelly6931
      @jenniferkelly6931 День тому +1

      No, the recession ended in August and the economy is getting started ever increasingly, just as Sito said about the constructions being built around the city at full speed.

    Dont take sidewalks for granted. Many places do not have them.
    Chipotle hygiene is the pitts. Board of health should shut them down.

    How come is Argentina getting better with Milei? Everything is way too expensive if locals cant make it thru? Salaries arent being raised and prices continue to go higher and higher.

    If cost of living goes up (rent x3, food x 10, gas x 2) the situation si really dramatic, people are quickly getting poorer. Except for the few ones that make money in USD . It does not matter you have Starbucks or Burger Kings if you cannot afford to pay your bills. This is really bad because at the end it all comes for people to be able to pay for housing and food. And the price of clothing is outrageously expensive.

    • @jenniferkelly6931
      @jenniferkelly6931 23 години тому +2

      You must be living in the States so you don't grab the real situation. Those wild price increases were made in the first three or four months of the year, and were necessary to stabilize the economy. it was tough but things have changed drastically since then. We went from a monthly inflation of 25% that left us the previous government to today's 2% monthly and with steady prices .
      At the same time the local peso has gained value (which means the dollar buys less now) and workers have had repeated wage raises according to the inflation, so we not only didn't lose buying power but we're now catching up every month as we steadily get our salaries improved. Economists forecast a strong growth of the overall economy for '25.

    Milton Friedman's economic disasters seem to happen over and over. These leaders like Milei just cannot let go of their death grip on their beliefs. Argentina is already failed, it always has been a failure, and should be a rich country, at least as good as Chile. Difference is Chile has a history of ancesters who were paeons and then... allowed to participate in the economy. Argentina's rich believe they are royalty and always printed money to keep things going instead of paying taxes, such a horror. The suffering won't end until "Main Street" has money.

      I think you are misunderstanding milei, hes getting rid of the issues that caused the failure, not holding onto them. And hes made a lot of progress in a short time

    • @barkingbandicoot
      @barkingbandicoot День тому +3

      Milton Friedman? You obviously have no idea of economics. Milei follows the Austrian School not the Chicago School.
