    Very cool way to get control of your wedges. If only we have the time to dedicate this training... Thanks for sharing 😊

    What a great way to practice. My goal is to improve significantly next season. Really hard to do in Michigan this time of year. I really need to find a place.

    Can you do another video showing how your setup, ball placement, swing plane, approach angle, etc...? As the yardages changes but you use the same club, I'm guessing you make slight adjustments?

    Love seeing the wedge test! I’ve never done a Trackman test(I’ve got a Garmin R10) but 1899 Indoor Golf in Canton, OH has booths that you can rent. I might try it this winter. Excellent content! Keep up with practice. God Bless

    Great content as always, I think the stats you’re getting from these tools are amazing! I am still using caveman technology chipping balls into a shoe 👟 at various distances. I would actually love to see a mix of modern and old school practices. I love your videos regardless 🤩 Cheers 🎉

    I remember as a senior in highschool way back in 07 I was weird for playing 50 54 58 degree wedges. So nice to see it becoming more popular.

    Wasn’t aware this was something trackman could do. Thank you, might have to try at pga superstore. Any tips on reducing pulls and hooks?

      I’d have to see swing videos. My brother actually helps people on instagram if you’re interested! He’s a great coach and doubles as my second eyes as well. His handle is @ryanwenzlergolf let me know if you reach out and I can tell him!

    Insane rhythm and tempo. i always swing too fast on my wedges and most of the time either pull the crap out of it or it spins way to much off the front of the green

    Marissa, the technology has come a long way since the late 1970's early 1980's! Where were you hitting? I do love these videos but even to see the attack angle and trajectory of your shots and spin rate and other stats I would love for you to share what stats you find important.

    I'm trying to learn why great golfers make certain decisions. For instance, 79yds with a 1/2 54deg. Why not club down for a full swing?

    • @marissawenzler
      @marissawenzler  3 години тому +2

      This is a great question! You can do a full swing however that’s going to generate more spin so if your number is 79 and if I hit a full 58 it may land 80 but full shots spin more because you’re essentially swinging harder. That land of 80 is actually going to spin back a ton especially if you’re on soft greens. That’s harder to control especially if you’re hitting to a flag where this is a false front. You don’t want to hit a full shot that will land the number bc it will spin off the green. You would either take a half shot that won’t spin as much or play it 10 yards past with a full shot to account for spin.

      @@marissawenzler That makes total sense. I really need to work on my decision-making skills and tips like this are extremely helpful to understand why certain decisions are made. Please post more! Now off to watch the latest GGG!

    (Nerd spoiler alert) As Spock might say, Marissa; "Fascinating." Great content, Marissa. Such an interesting test for the short game from Trackman. Does it have similar kinds of tests for driving or tee shots on a par 3 for example?

    I can say if I was hitting those shots, majority would b my lob wedge, I can deloft or flat it out to get my distances.

    I would like to try this, out of curiosity, but it may screw my swing up, if a coach is not intently watching.
