Funny you post this as I have lost many earrings that I’ve made and yesterday was wondering about switching to leverbacks. I love the one with the bezel - have never seen these. I’m with you on cool containers. Another great Friday Findings piece. TY.

I always preferred post style earrings because so many people I know who have worn French wire or hook style for years have pierced slits now instead of pierced holes. Lever backs are awesome!
I wear my French hook earrings in moderation and wear lightweight or no earrings for 1-2 days to allow my ears to rest from the pulling from the French hook earrings. My ears have been pierced since about October 1982 and look like they are recently pierced! The ear slits instead of holes which you described made me hesitant about getting my ears pierced originally, so I understand your concern. What do you do when the lever that goes into the ear doesn't lock into the clip slot of the earrings, please?
I so love your videos. The leverbacks are such a must and so much easier to close than to put on that tiny stopper

My Mom loves earrings and she's 89 years old. I always use lever backs to make her earrings.

Tfs. I finally got some leverback findings, I don't like the fact that at Michael's it doesn't come in bigger packages like the fish hook style but anyway gonna start using them when I make my earrings.
I never even noticed them at Michael's. Sometimes I'm just so unobservant, lol.
I love leverbacks because I lose fewer earrings! Thanks for showing the variety available. Some of my silver-plated findings have tarnished or peeled over the years, which is ok for casual jewelry, but if I were creating something extra special, I'd invest in silver.
I agree! You truly do get what you pay for with those inexpensive "silver plated" findings.
Unless you are absolutely certain that the wearer is NOT sensitive to the nickel in silver jewelry-especially sterling silver-I would suggest that you use 14K gold or surgical steel findings for your special jewelry to avoid reactions that would cause the wearer not to wear the jewelry. I purchased a pair of sterling silver shrimp-styled earrings which I wore only a few times because the earrings made my ears itch; however, my 14k gold earrings have never given me a skin reaction, even though I wear them almost daily.
I have a hard time getting the lever backs in my ears. I’ll stay with fish hooks and posts.😊

I prefer to wear with leverback because the fishhooks and post is irritating when it slightly pokes my neck. I'm just sensitive. Same with labels on my t-shirts and blouse.
