In the last example the value she obtains corresponds to the one with the calculator in Radians. The correct answer is 8.03 to 3s.f.

I like your presentation. If you use the formula : sine squared + cosine squared = 1 , we can substitute the equality of the square root of the sine squared of the particular equation mentioned and substitute it into your formula, 1/2 ab sine C. We then use the Law of Cosines and substitute its formula into the formula we discovered. By further calculations we discover a new formula for the area of a triangular. The new formula is unique in its properness. Although you no longer need to know any angles by an entangled knowledge of the values of the sides we produce an area of a triangle. (See 1 John 5:5)
