So as far as the lack of content goes, my theory is that it's due to the lack of profits from Ubisoft that Siege is losing out. Ubi's current president only cares about turning a quick buck instead of making a legitimately good game, with it given the time or resources it needs to be good. It's why the quality of the games and the amount of content that we have gotten from the company for years now has gone down the tank. Even with Siege being the "main focus for profit" for the company, you can see this year's roadmap is the definition of content thin, with reworks and nerfs / buffs being considered as "features" for the season now. A more optimistic view from my part could be that they're pulling back on content for year 9 because they're going to give us a ton in year 10 (4-8 new ops, new gun every season, 2 new maps), since 10 years of siege is a massive milestone. Sadly, though, I think it'll be 2 ops, 2 rework ops, MAYBE 1 new map, 1 or 2 new guns, and more buff / nerfs as "features". I'm praying that the corporate side of Ubi will finally wake TF up and realize you have to invest into your game to make it make money, but what do I know? The current CEO TOTALLY has a handle on the company, CLEARLY.
Corporate side waking up, bro did you forget we are talking about executives from Ubisoft; also, Ubisoft just went massively down in value and their stock is at a 10 year low, there is no fucking way in hell or heaven they are going to invest money, this is usually the time when game companies start laying off employees and cutting down on costs instead of thinking about what went wrong and investing money to pull themselves back up.
Current CEO is the definition of "we took over and kicked that stupid (golden) goose out" They cost cut aggressively but in the cross-fire lowered the funding that goes to their most important money makers. Siege needs to be given the love it deserves as if it flourishes it can generate profits that can out-weigh the risks they'll be allowed to take with their other brands / franchises. Hopefully with the monthly/yearly membership motif that costs more than the original year passes, they'll be able to deliver a really good Year 10, but I doubt it. I hope they realize that a Year 10 full of content to celebrate the 10 year milestone + 4 full new ops (they don't even gotta be anything crazy) would be beneficial for player retention, but to show the world that 10 years in the game is still worth picking up as a new player, and that the game can go for another several.
You know it's bad when even the investors want the CEO gone for good Ubisoft needs a wake up call, it's not possible that they peak with a 2016 game, maybe For Honor and XDefiant, but they got stale because of corpo choices, and it shows
Lisent punk, rainbow it's the only profitable game that Ubisoft had right now, there is one way whit this game, dead or alive, and if they do 2 OPPS, and a lot of cosmetics this year, rainbow it's done.
Hey kudos, like you said about adding old maps i think that they should make a seperate game on old siege with all the old features even o.p operators. this way they could make more money (as they like too) while haveing a seperate game that is optional to buy. this game would probably be left where it is with no new content. maybe up to date anti cheat and bug fixes though.
Do you think that maybe there will be an event in year 10 for old siege? Like maybe they could bring back old house only for year 10 and make it just like year 1. I personally think this would be a good event for all the players.
The meastro change that you talked about would be really cool, the cameras should also get better glass placement cause they are far to easy to shoot right now, even if the glass is open a millimeters you can still shoot it from the side. Throwing it would let you place it in spots to deny hardbreaches really easily without it being blatantly obvious.
Do you think in year 10 they will do a throwback mode or something similar? Pre-reworked maps, night maps… etc. Adding onto this, do you think it would be a good idea to have two versions of each map? Like new consulate, old consulate, new club house, old clubhouse, it would feel like there’s more maps, when there really isn’t
The only nerf sheilds need is the rule where if the sheild is in an animation when u knife it doesent fly back if that was gone sheild would be a lot less scary
I think maestro needs a “turtle shell” type of rework that protects him from Brava. The rework would put him down to 2 cams but the cams when not active would be closed in an iron shell and when in this state it can’t be shot melee’d only or hacked. This comes at the price of no information when not in use and maybe even slower moving speed.
I think that they need to add a setting to make all enemies appear as default skins, there are too many skins in game that make identifying operators difficult and I myself have died due to misidentifying operators, I doubt it would be too difficult and would also deal with certain skins like high caliber and neon dawn
It’d be amazing if they added pre reworked maps into casual or even ranked lol so you could have the old version and new version which play very differently, but adds more variety and maps. If they do do this, I seriously hope it isn’t a limited time event, I want it permanently
I dont think ubisoft wants that because they dont want shield rushes to be a thing anymore. They took the shield away from recruit before re-adding them for a reason. We have Fuze, blitz, and monty already.
Considering Ubisoft has the lowest market stock ever, losing over 80% of their value in the last 3 years, I don't think we will see any improvements in siege in the near future. The CEO will most likely be changed soon and it takes a lot of time to change things around in a big corporation. Hopefuly the new leadership will realise that R6 is the game that provided them the most revenue and maybe they will do something about it. We can only hope.
Maybe for Maestro they could add a QOL change that make it so if your cam is being hacked you get a warning in your gadget bar not unlike what Skopós has so if you get on the cam fast enough you might be able to zap the Brava drone before getting fully hacked.
Ive noticed this from Ubisoft. It all started from operation health where everything was going upside down with the operators consistency because Ubisoft used to be consistent with two operators every season from the same country and one being attacker and the other being defender. After operation health, three ops were in two seasons due to canceling season 2 for health then when year 3 happened and we first started getting two ops from different countries and then both being the same team. Two ops in season 1 year 3 were attackers then in season 2 it was defenders to balance it out. Season 2 had Italian ops but Alibi isn’t technically Italian so meastro and alibi were two ops from different countries. Then Ubisoft started this back and forth with every op being from the same country and from different countries all throughout year 3 and half of year 4. Then ever since phantom sight came, every op after that were from two different countries. Then half of year 5, they started to bring in one op per season now. After that it’s been only one op per season. Eventually we will now get one or two ops per season and eventually every existing op will probably get a remaster and soon enough, no more ops will come to the game. Ubisoft is slowly decreasing everything now. It’s the same with maps, now ops are getting the map treatment
im honestly fine with 2 new ops a year. 1: it lets them make each op even better if it was 4 new ops, and 2: it helps stop the game from getting hella bloated more than it kinda already is.
I feel like a good change for Maestro is just letting him put his cams on ceilings. Not letting him throw them, but I play him often and there's a lot of places where you can get right up to a ceiling and a cam would work really well there but you can only place them on walls and floors. Making his glass shatterproof again would be great too, but I think putting his cams on ceilings would differentiate him further from bulletproof cams but still keep him from stepping on Valk's toes too much.
I personally prefer quality over quantity and asside front the dev saying this, I think you can also feel it. The new operators aren't as hit and miss as year 7 and 8, and the slight game improvements stack up to actually help the game, instead of being experimental changes which don't work. Even as far as server stability and bugs are concerned, the game has done much better this year. Unfortunately, I think a large part of the community just wants as much as possible, even though they themselves probably don't know what it is they would actually want.
My Siege Mailbox Idea is that Kali should get a couple DMRs onto her arsenal. Her biggest drawback is arguably her Sniper, so if we gave her one of the GIGN DMRs alongside maybe the Blackbeard DMR, she'd be a lot more useful on a lot more maps without having to rely on her big, heavy sniper as her only primary.
i think they should add the posibility to have like skin/attachment combos and have the oportunity to have them being randomly selected for each round instead of having to change it by yourself, this also can work with the body and head skins since a lot of players have many options they like but never use them since they dont wanna be changing the outfit each match
Honestly I feel Maestro is pretty balanced rn from a loadout standpoint. I used to pretty much main him back like year 6/7 when i was getting into the game. The only thing that really prevents me from picking him more often now is Brava. As soon as you get spotted in prep phase, attackers are pretty much guaranteed to bring a Brava as a counter, so you end up stuck on cams the whole time or you just lose them. Its also tough to try and hide and set everything up until after prep phase since he's a 1 speed. i also feel like there should be more time for maestro to counter the brava hack. It does a weird thing where it locks up the controls and you cant do anything like midway through the hack to shoot. Maybe removing the glass shatter would be a good middle ground, or maybe adjust it so that the brava drone has to be able to see the face of the cam to hack it idk
I feel like maestros cams should be like castle how you have to hit a certain amount of times for it to break and with maestro if you hit it 3 or 4 times it will break the glass
How long do you think the game will last in the future? Do you think everyone will stop playing because of there anti cheat or will they make it better?
maybe for maestro itd be a shout to make his cams explosion proof also but give his cams health for either the glass or the cam itself so at least he isnt countered by every op but also add some importance to his cams so they arent a massive pushover
I might be crazy and schizo but it feels like ubisoft is trying to make “major updates smaller so over time so we wouldn’t notice the lack of content and to milk siege for all it has since they’re quitting when they hit 100 operators in total, releasing an operator every season is causing the game to possibly end faster, so slow it down by introducing “remasters” to make it sound like they’re changing the entire concept of operators in question and change the entire use or identity of an operator when they just changed the kit
A rework I think would be good is fuze being allowed to have a shield and ak He needs something to make him better but make his gadget to good and casual players struggle more I think even if this is never considered for fuze a new op like that would be good also you wouldn’t be able to have the shield and ak out at the same time
Siege Mailbox: What do think of Doc getting a mini rework where he starts off with zero stims and gains them over time similar to Lesion? There is no risk to spawn peeking or playing overly aggressive with Doc, since you can heal up whatever damage you receive. This would force players to be less aggressive with him, and there is honestly no reason as to why you should be using a stim in the first 30 seconds of the round starting.
@@williewilson2250 I really don't get why people spawnpeek and do dumb sh't that kills you quickly with doc, rook is like the perfect operator to do that with his ability is literally completely done by prep phase and he has the same gun with acog.
@@Walleyedwosaik it's been a thing since siege came out, except then you were likely to actually wipe the team in spawn with a quick jager or bandit spawn peek
Do you think they would ever get to a point where Ubisoft would do a rework of a map or operator for a season when it didn't need to be reworked, just to fill the map/op addition/rework? Not saying this is happening or that it would, but given that we don't get a new operator/map each season, and when we don't there's usually if not always a notable rework of one, I worry that in the future that could lead to forced reworks that don't need to happen, just to have something major for the season. Not saying there aren't existing ops/maps that could benefit from one either, but I just worry that having reworks as like scheduled releases could, at some point, lead to them reworking ops/maps that really don't need a significant change, just to fill that spot for the season.
I had an idea for a Grim elite skin with a beekeeper uniform, a honeycomb weapon skin and making the little canisters that deploy his bees being little bee hives, thoughts?
What do you think about switching around Cavs secondary gadgets? Replacing either prox alarms or impacts for barbed wire would force a Cav to strategically place a wire given as an attacker if you see a wire nowhere near site you'll know its Cav. On console Cav is very strong and im not sure about PC but wires just got a buff and this would be interesting to see.
I'm a modder for old builds of Siege, and I honestly don't think it would be possible for pre-reworked maps to be in Siege minus old Hereford, and that's because Old Hereford was a completely different map. All reworked maps replace the original map they're based on. Night maps though are saved in the same "file" that maps are in, so it's possible for them to come back I think, but they would have to have effort made to work.
Do you think skopos could have like a sort of charging station for her robots instead of just having one life she could have 2 lives but it still be balanced where her robot would like run out of charge in a minute and a half or something and if she couldn’t make it to the charging station the robot would just shut down and you would switch to the active robot with charge. (I would think the charging station would be basically invincible)
i think that idea for maestro would be good, just because then at least attackers would have to use utility to get rid of the cameras, instead of just being able to melee it or whatever.
Ubisoft will stick to 2 operator per year from now on and may rework some operator here and there. Mainly for 2 reasons : first because heach time they add an operator it takes month to balance it and integrate in the current roaster. Second is that it can take up to a year for the dev team to make the operator, from character design to balancing it according to player feedbacks.
regarding new content, the way i see it is that by keeping the new additions at a minimum, they can focus more on the quality of the new patches. it isnt as simple as churning out content every month like most comments here seem to think. new mechanics also mean new bugs, glitches, exploits and a more convoluted meta that will absolutely turn off newcomers from playing.

Do you think Jäger deserves a complete rework because I feel like Jäger is not picked most of the time when he is a useful operator to have as a defender but with Jäger getting nerf every other season not one is willing to use him?
developing new stuff takes a long asf time and has a significant backlog from stuff they have to do first, is what i have been told so maybe they actually developed and roadmapped all this stuff when siege was in its dead-state before its revival, because i have also heard it is very difficult for a company to even chnage a roadmap at all because of a whole lot of logistical and project management reasons
Hey kudos my question would be do you think they will run out of operators to put in and that's why they are lowering the rate the operators that are coming out? Love your content really helped me get better at the game thanks!!
Is having access to an SMG as an attacker would be a bad idea ? ARs are good, don't get me wrong, but they re meant for long range acquisitions, they are heavy hitters most of the time, but once you enter in the building, you need to be able to move fast, and shoot fast, which pretty much all the ARs cannot do

Current CEO is the definition of "we took over and kicked that stupid (golden) goose out"
They cost cut aggressively but in the cross-fire lowered the funding that goes to their most important money makers.
You know it's bad when even the investors want the CEO gone for good
Ubisoft needs a wake up call, it's not possible that they peak with a 2016 game, maybe For Honor and XDefiant, but they got stale because of corpo choices, and it shows
Lisent punk, rainbow it's the only profitable game that Ubisoft had right now, there is one way whit this game, dead or alive, and if they do 2 OPPS, and a lot of cosmetics this year, rainbow it's done.
I personally think this would be a good event for all the players.
its ubisoft so quite possibly no.
They'll probably break the code since it's been like 6 years since it was last seen
They won't do night maps because they reworked the lighting system if I recall correctly, I could be wrong though
@@nikoraasu6929 night maps would be better now cuz characters ‘glow’ in dark corners now

Quick thing if u turn on motion blur it will make the black screen go away when you get shot at it’s a bug
Honestly having Meatball have a simular arc to Ram when throwing would be perfect
I think that they need to add a setting to make all enemies appear as default skins, there are too many skins in game that make identifying operators difficult and I myself have died due to misidentifying operators, I doubt it would be too difficult and would also deal with certain skins like high caliber and neon dawn
Ubi would never because it would add one extra layer of hesitation before spending money to buy a skin, and thats a no no in ubis book
@@dragonxev1144 I don’t think that it actually would, but Ubisoft being as dumb as they are might think so
@@dragonxev1144just for ranked just like pro skins and default only being allowed in comp.
It’d be amazing if they added pre reworked maps into casual or even ranked lol so you could have the old version and new version which play very differently, but adds more variety and maps. If they do do this, I seriously hope it isn’t a limited time event, I want it permanently

Thoughts on the new AI? How are they benifcal to new players, and how might they be bad for new players?
How do you feel about wep9n diversity? I think some ops should get new weapons and others get the weapon they have.
Do you think thermite is getting a ballistic shield? I know you’ve touched on it being a possibility do you think it’ll be y9s3 mid season or later?
I think everyone with a primary, non-suppressed semi-auto shotgun on attack should have it replaced with a Shield. So Ace, Finka, Thermite.
I dont think ubisoft wants that because they dont want shield rushes to be a thing anymore. They took the shield away from recruit before re-adding them for a reason. We have Fuze, blitz, and monty already.
@@mikeyplayzwrld why lol, such a stupid change
@@nikoraasu6929 semi auto shotguns are really bad on attack plus they did specifically say even brimstone charges from behind shields
@@Ariz0na_AGU They are not bad.
Do you think you should be able to choose individual ops speeds in customs so that community mini games such as sledge wars can be possible?
We need better skins, waiting for my Nøkk bikini skin 🙏🙏
Kudos why does Ubisoft keep removing hiding spots? I just want know why
im honestly fine with 2 new ops a year. 1: it lets them make each op even better if it was 4 new ops, and 2: it helps stop the game from getting hella bloated more than it kinda already is.
How would you buff kali?
A thunderbird rework where each Kona station has limited charges but can be refilled by thunderbird and no longer heal enemies
Ubisoft is out of their mind. Siege is one of their most profitable games, yet they keep cutting down on new content each year.
With the lore pointing at an attack of the keres legion soon, it feels like y9s4 might drop a new map
Well said
My Siege Mailbox Idea is that Kali should get a couple DMRs onto her arsenal. Her biggest drawback is arguably her Sniper, so if we gave her one of the GIGN DMRs alongside maybe the Blackbeard DMR, she'd be a lot more useful on a lot more maps without having to rely on her big, heavy sniper as her only primary.
How do the events like doctors curse or the robots event fit into the lore.
i think they should add the posibility to have like skin/attachment combos and have the oportunity to have them being randomly selected for each round instead of having to change it by yourself, this also can work with the body and head skins since a lot of players have many options they like but never use them since they dont wanna be changing the outfit each match
How well does Capikan and Goyo work together?
You say “only 2 operators” as if the devs didn’t say they were limiting the op drops this year during the new roadmap discussion
A rework I think would be good is fuze being allowed to have a shield and ak
He needs something to make him better but make his gadget to good and casual players struggle more I think even if this is never considered for fuze a new op like that would be good also you wouldn’t be able to have the shield and ak out at the same time

What do you think could be a cool new weapon with maybe a new mechanic.
What do you think about a defending operator with a smoke grenade gadget? Or something similar but different

How do you think Deimos is going to be used in the lore next season or just In the future in general

Should clash get a rework? Or make another defense shield op
Question: What do you think about Jägers position in the meta?
What buffs or nerfs does he need to be more viable?
regarding new content, the way i see it is that by keeping the new additions at a minimum, they can focus more on the quality of the new patches. it isnt as simple as churning out content every month like most comments here seem to think. new mechanics also mean new bugs, glitches, exploits and a more convoluted meta that will absolutely turn off newcomers from playing.

Ace for inside walls like attic on Oregon, thermite for outside walls like snow mobile on chalet
Ace has a better load out, thermite has better secondaries, I would recommend ace, but there nothing wrong with thermite either
@@Buttons-yj3or Ace having a better loadout is debatable. Thermite's 556 is a better gun in most cases. Also Thermite can open electrified/muted walls without an EMP if the circumstances are right so Thermite is still the best hard breacher.

Do you think thunderbird should get a buff or rework to her kit ? I feel like ever since the nerf she got to her gadget, speed and loosing the nitro cell and on top when Ubisoft tried nerfing finka by giving the spear 308 more awkward recoil she’s just such an eh operator now but idk what do you think
Do you think Jäger deserves a complete rework because I feel like Jäger is not picked most of the time when he is a useful operator to have as a defender but with Jäger getting nerf every other season not one is willing to use him?
Do you think we’ll ever get a paladin 9 security operator in R6?
developing new stuff takes a long asf time and has a significant backlog from stuff they have to do first, is what i have been told so maybe they actually developed and roadmapped all this stuff when siege was in its dead-state before its revival, because i have also heard it is very difficult for a company to even chnage a roadmap at all because of a whole lot of logistical and project management reasons

ARs are good, don't get me wrong, but they re meant for long range acquisitions, they are heavy hitters most of the time, but once you enter in the building, you need to be able to move fast, and shoot fast, which pretty much all the ARs cannot do
How would you change Clash to make her more viable?
What if attackers could rappel indoors?
What are your thought on Ubi maybe taking 2-3 years off to update the engine for r6, not like r6 2 like OW, but kinda like CS bc they seemed to of do it the right way?

What do u think about hearing enemy voicelines like clash but for every operator? and also do u think they should add visual recoil back, the game right now doesnt feel like you're shooting a real gun like cod or ready or not for example
If we get the same 2 new ops and two reworks feature I think the rework seasons will need more. I would say if they add a new map and a rework to each of these seasons as well as a secondary gadget and some mechanical buffs to other ops would be suffice.
