Handled the loss like a champ. Many people disliked him during his reign but I feel like eventually people will start missing it. He was one of the only champions who'd fight multiple times a year to defend his belt unlike majority of the others fighting only once per year.

I’m not understanding the “humbled” comments everywhere. Am I mistaken or does Kamaru not always list the great qualities of every competitor he has faced? Even with Colby, he talked about how good he is. It is very evident that it has been for a long time now, a trend, to hate on Kamaru regardless of the excellence he demonstrates. First was that he was boring, then the personalities, then the epo, fake news, and now that he was “cocky”. It’s outrageous how desperate his haters are to defame him and create a trend to hate on an succeeding fighter.

He's trying his best to act like he doesn't care and he's not devastated, but you can't care that much about winning and winning is everything to you. And then not care about losing. Especially with everything he lost. He had immense pride in just his clean takedown defense record. He's talked before about how much he hates losing. He was proud of his win streak and undefeated in the UFC run. Leon took all of that, gave him his first KO and took the belt. He's lying to be acting like he's not bothered. But I guess he has gotten into acting recently with that movie role. It's coming in handy here.

@@closinginonclosure Bang on mate. Brilliant comment. Kamaru Usman is clearly very narcissistic. He says 'great shot' Leon but then has to take it away from him and deliberately point out that it was a 'hail mary'. Well hmm, Leon set that up great and dominated him in the first round.
He also brags about his level of fame, and spins what was a catestrophic devastating loss into something which was great for him, because he cannot possibly accept that he lost, because he was vulnerable and it was his fault as much as Leons. He's not actually taken real accountability.
For people reading closing on closure's comment and doubting him. Just listen to how many times he is saying me and I. Its all about him. Exactly the same as Joshua's narcissistic speech full of false humility after the Usyk loss. Someone made a good video on Jon Jones narcissistic psychopathy, watch that. Mad respect for his reaction to his loss. Took the L like a true legend of the sport. Showed absolute class. Looking forward to seeing him get that belt again

Thank God he's not champion anymore. No more I'm so much better than everyone, no more stomping on feet, no more epos, the list goes on but he does not. He is broken and beaten for good and for the better.

Respect to Leon Edwards. Sometimes when you've put in the work, it's just your time. But I've always said Kamaru is like no other fighter I've seen. He can dig deep and go to a place that few can. His cardio and the pressure he applies even in 5th round has a lot to do with a mental will that he has. And that mixed with his preparation is what makes him a force. So the reason I believe he's taking it like this, is when you know what you are going to do the next fight, then you are almost laughing at the naysayers like "they have no idea."
