Jesus always knows what we are, yet He is always gentle with our failings, and yet never fails to love us by His Words and Action. Thank you, Bishop Barron, from Singapore 🇸🇬.
There he goes again, bringing me to tears. Thank you B.B. I’m always praying for “ hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us”. Paul McCartney. I love you B.B.
Shan ......What are you protesting about .....a protestant is simply a person who wants to reform the Church of its abuses. It is never a protest against true Christianity
This sermon came from Heaven to me. It is a reality in the community; demanding, grasping, reverse the momentum, no by grasping by giving. Already hear the sermon twice and many more will till could make alive in my. I was waiting to hear those words full of wisdom and discernment. God bless and in my prayers
"Give what you've been given." As you do, Bishop Barron, and that's why the Holy Spirit pours the water of life into you - that it may flow to us. Inasmuch as you are a blessing, may you be ever blessed. 🛐
Your homily put me into deep reflection on the many 'wells' in my life that I need to 'set down', because they don't satisfy. Thank you, Bp. Barron. May God bless you more.
You can't grab grace. Our troubled world thirsts for love and forgiveness. Keep us thirsty for Your will. We humbly open our hearts to Your living water. We give Your gift to others who need it.
The THIRSTY SOUL: Thank you so much, Bishop Barron for your sharing that changes us & makes us closer to Jesus , makes us more understanding & kind to one another. We can be more blessed spiritually, physically & materially when we share humbly & joyfully our blessings w/ everyone, especially w/ the least, the lost & the last, sick & hungry. Amen. GOD bless you, our Pope Francis & all our bishops, priests, seminarians. AMEN.❤️💕🙏
These sermons are so beautiful and so important for our weary world grasping at so many wells.. if only everyone could hear this and then.. act on it! Everyone on this forum please pray for that 🙏🏻❤️ and God bless Word on Fire and Bishop B 😊
Will he ever run out of homilies? I think not as he is the gift that keeps on giving. How fortunate we are to have this teacher 🙏 who gives freely every week and more 🙂
This brief sermon rings so true for me in the various ways I have tried to fill that God-sized hole with all sorts of external diversions. And, that is exactly what they are; diversions from the truth of the Grace which is freely mine and which indeed is the ONLY thing, substance or Reality that will truly fill me. It had taken me a, I am a slow learner, life time to grasp and hold this truth. The Way, the Truth, and the Life is found in Christ. Thank you again for speaking truth to the eternal lies that our materially driven culture tries to fool us into believing.
This homily is an eloquent twist to the song « Imagine ». Imagine God’s abundance of graces received continuously and freely given away on earth by all baptized persons. Our Church would become an unrestricted flow of divine love. Imagine all the people, humanly divine and divinely human. Levis Shalom
There is only two people I’d truly love to meet that’s Bishop Bob Barron and Jordan Peterson. Open my mind and heart so much. My life has changed in such incredible ways recently and I’ve been blessed to find my Faith again, As well as Grace in my life. Thank you God for your blessings and the ability to finally see. 🙏 peace be with you all.
Bishop Barron, You have the art of saying what is profound in a simple way. It is my joy to listen to your insights which I find very enlightening and enriching. May the Spirit continue to inspire you to help me on my pilgrimage. I am nearing 80 years and a priest for over 54 years. I pray for you.
Make my heart Thy sweet abode, O Spirit of God / Streams of water, quench my thirst I pray / Let me know the sweetness of Thy tender love today / Fill my life with love and laughter, let me make Thee shine✨⭐
Thank you Bishop Barron for sharing your gift of teaching us in such an inspiring way how relevant Jesus’ words are to our lives today! I needed to hear this.
Thank you Bishop Barren. What a beautiful sermon and it really resonates with me. Help me to understand that Grace is a gift and I can only get it by giving not just taking. Thanks again!
This i will hear several more times … have to “squeeze it” and ask de Holy Spirit to help me make it a reality in my spirit. I will miss, fall, that’s for sure, put I can always go yo the Word!!! The Grace. Gracias Obispo Barron!! Saludos de Mexico 🇲🇽
Always waiting for your homily Bishop Barron! When I was in school I was a part of the drama group done by our Catechism class for an inter school competition. We had enacted 'The woman at the well. We actually did it in song. This gospel passage reminds me of that drama. I understand that passage so clearly today. Especially I come to understand the symbol of the WELL. Great teaching Bishop Barron. God bless you for teaching us so clearly!
Jesus knew this woman was married 5 times. When he asked were is your husband, she said I have known. This also shows Jesus’s loves talking with those that sin, for their repentance.🙏
“Evangelization is one starving person telling another starving person where to find bread” Fascinating, since it always seemed to me that evangelizing meant I had food and I would give it, but then I forget how I too am starving and how this is self centered; where I could say “I have the truth,” but in reality I’m just as much a seeker as the next guy.
thank you your lordship for this inspiring reflection. my take home from this reflection; -giving of what you have been given attracts you more of the gift. - a starving person telling another starving person where to find bread.
Whoever is doing audio for these, 2 things can help fix the clipping. 1) find a recorder with 32 bit float - you’ll never have to worry about setting levels again 2) turn the gain down and use a compressor to help limit the dynamic range If you need help feel free to respond and I’ll gladly donate any gear you might need.
Give what you have been given, and stop going back to that well where you look for happiness. Amen to that God bless you Bishop Barren and happy Lenten season
Nature was designed to give out, the sun gives out light, trees give out fruits, water, quench our thirts, the nature was designed to give love and human needs to do the same.
May we have a receptive heart to receive Gods Grace in fullness to be returned in fullness to those who stand in need. Thank you for the meaningful sermon. Merci Beaucoup.
Ah, Excellency, how true: we sinners are so often still attached to our old ways of life... And we can certainly spend the rest of our lives (I know i shall) on the passage from John. Let us all resolve to give as we have been given, and please pray for us all through our Lenten journey.
Again I listen to this beautiful explanation of The Woman at the Well with JESUS. Thank you. I need to meditate on this now and then again. Thank you so much.
Come, Holy Spirit, come increase our faith, hope and love. Ps 95:1, Jn 4:7 Jesus asked for water: When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, 'Give me something to drink.' 😇Jesus, I love You!
Grace is something you can understand only with mind and heart together. This woman was not stupid, she was rebellious and sinner because faith did not make sense to her mind, so her heart rejected it. What kind of God is that, who is only for the jews? So she asked Jesus: "Are you another prophet who tells the same?" And Jesus answered: "I am not a prophet, I am the source of life, born from the jews, but for the whole world, for the samarians, and for you, personally, my daughter." This did make sense to her, and made her beleive at once. Real faith must be for everyone. No other faith can make sense.
What are the requirements for an Archbishop.? Your wisdom and faith is unmatched. Dear Bishop Barron thank You for inspiring us. May God bless you for your devotion .🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻
What a great sermon. This lent has been the hardest for me. Great suffering and my spiritual confessor told me his grace is sufficient for me then I see this. What a great sermon. You have taught me many times. You are so intelligent but explain things so we can understand. Thank you.

Thank you Bishop Barron, I was deeply touched by what you said about grace, it is not to be grasped selfishly but should be received and passed on through our giving. Your sermons nurture the soul.
Dearest Bishop Robert Barron, Thank you for the Sunday sermon today. I meet people who aren't aware of giving as an expression of obedience and sacrifice.
