My personal song of the year 2024. Top 3 in my NW rating. Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied. When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. This song hit me like a brick. On the day of the release I listened to the album in one go. I'm one of those people who wasn't really impressed with the mix of the previously released songs, but if you listen to the album in one go, the mixing really makes sense to me. (Even though I'm still not completely impressed with the mixing, but that's because I just like Floor's voice so much ^^) Despite the different songs, the album sounds like it was all of one piece to me, like something that somehow belongs together (hard to explain). And then came the last song on the album... after I had dried my tears, my first thought was... when I die one day, I want this song at my funeral. Sad but healing, like a farewell to celebrate life because you never really leave the world. The video hit me like a wrecking ball, by the way ^^
I can feel this. My father passed away in 2022. He is my hero. He battled in three wars 1939-1944 but servived. I feel I carry a laternlight in honour of him.

@@turtlesmusicthoughts You missed the projector coming to a complete stop. Everything Tuomas puts in a song is important. You can always go back and catch it. It symbolizes an end.

Either because they are bored with the song, want to rush things, or they have other things planned. Nightwish is about subtle details, from beginning to end.
