      Funny, because I always thought that Mexico and Turkiye are quite similar in culture, mentality and cuisine. So why do you choose a similar country to move? Greets, a curious turk

    Thank you Bery for your honest and interesting story. I have been following your videos since I moved to Istanbul. Your story is amazing and somewhat relevant to mine. I have a Turkish spouse as well and because of her I am living here since 5 months. Although it's not my first country that I moved to (I lived in Germany for about 5 years). I have not experienced something bad yet in Istanbul but I definitely have to work on my Turkish to get more comfortable and friends here. On the positive side, the culture, beauty and food in this country is "on numara" :)

Its not just women but men also feel home sick n dramatically decide to go back to their mother country but neighbours, friends colleagues come to your rescue/help n make you feel comfortable. It takes a year to come out of this till you once go home n come back. It was a faithful talk n your videos are latest and informative. Best of luck for your future endeavours.....👌👍🌹☺️

    I'm trying to figure out where I want to be (not here in Canada) and I realised that if I went to Turkey I would have no desire to bring anything with me, other than my cat. Never been, but I love the food, and have met some lovely Turkish people. I'm older so it's soon or never, but the war is very concerning, and I've heard housing prices are going up. I've never lived in a city or town, and not entirely sure about how it would be in a rural area.

I would like to hire an English-speaking translator in Ordu to help me out for the first week or so of getting set up (renting an apartment, registering my cell phone, etc) but I can't figure out how to go about finding someone to hire. Would you have any suggestions for me on where I could start? I would love to hire a college student who is studying English or something like that.... I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to find such a person!! Thank you so much. Your story is very inspirational!!

      Is not easy especially the first months.
      One just needs to be strong, I remember crying often and almost every night after coming back from work to my empty flat. That was my routine probably my very 6 months in Türkiye.
      Knowing that I was missing important moments with my family was also a struggle but somehow we need to overcome them, the positive thing is that your country is just a couple of hours by plane from 🇹🇷 is not the same as my country that is very difficult to go even just for a weekend, I can’t do that, because just 4 days are gone in going there and coming back.
      Yes, you’re going to miss everybody and living in another country isn’t easy but if you really want that experience and fight for it, you’ll always find the strength to do so.
      Humans are amazing because we have an incredible way of adapting to things, places and situations, just believe in yourself and get mentally prepared for that step, and remember, crying and missing our family once we are away doesn’t make us weak, it makes us stronger! The great advantage we have now is technology, just with one click we can see and speak to our beloved ones!
      Just believe in yourself ❤️

      Once you are in 🇹🇷, you can look for job opportunities on LinkedIn, kariyer.net, yenibiris.com, those are the biggest platforms for jobs used here 🙏

    Dear lady we want to move within a few days to Turkey after our bad experience in a other country for 5 years were we aren't welcome even after we invested a huge amount of money in their country. We belief that Turkey is a much better choise! The only questions we have on the moment are the following, do they have in Urdu also international schools for our children and in case we register in Esenyurt IST is it easy to obtain Residence Permit for Touristical purpose. So that we can search the property market for a suitable appartment for a good price! Best Regards, Johan and family.

      Regardless of the little “bad things” that we all encounter in every place in the world, YES. The positive things are much more than the negative ones I have experience here, I love this country in every single way, I consider it my home and people I have known during these years have made me feel as one of their own. If I had the chance of talking to my younger self, I would tell her to take the decision without hesitation and fear, fear stopped me for so many years of doing this but I guess everything comes when it has to come. 🎉❤️

      Before coming here, I applied for a practice through AIESEC, but that is only for people with a college degree and younger than 30 yo. Once in Turkey, you can look either on LinkedIn, yenibiris.com, kariyer.net.

    Hi, Bery. How do you feel these days, when the anti-immigrant sentiment in Turkey seems to be growing stronger every day? Has this affected you at all? Do you think Turkey will take action to evict residents or create pressures on them to leave-- if the 2023 election is won by an anti-immigrant political party? Would you advise people interested in moving to Turkey to wait for a while, until after the result of the 2023 election?

    • @mumtazdurmaz88
      @mumtazdurmaz88 2 роки тому

      the discussion of eviction iş not about rezidans,rather coming to turkey without permission .
