You should get a Kings awning. Every second car has them so your van is no different to anything else. The awning you have will blow away in a strong wind. A single bed allows for a lot more storage. Unless you are having company every night, you don't need a double bed. Good luck. I think you will need it.
I just came across your channel, & now following you. We live in Cairns, & travelled to Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide everywhere in a 2004 Kia Pregio. Ours was named Kiabago as it was our mini Winnebago. Honestly they are a fantastic van to travel in. Just make sure that you change the oil on a regular basis, & it will be fine. Also too insulate the front more as it will be quieter, & remove the glass divider so if your in the city you can crawl through. Stephen, & Lisa.
Hey Guys , Thanks for your support. Have plans to travel into other parts of Australia once everything settles down with COVID. Do like the Kia although have been looking at something a bit bigger I can stand in. My step dad helped me pull the front panel out and move the kitchen so I could jump into the front if so need be, although not very lady like action or manoeuvre when I have done it ;) lucky no one can see me
I LOVE your van. Great video too. I was searching for a video about this van because tomorrow I'm planning on buying mine. A 2004 Kia Pregio just like yours. :)
I got a second battery with a battery box so I can see what draw in and out and not let my battery agm go to low and i use a gazebo for shade for my dogs
Fantastic video and and your build out is an inspiration. Loving your cute Jack Russell. My one hint to improve the quality of your video is do look for eyesores like the green rolling rubbish bin and move it out of your shot before you film as it kind of kills the feel of the remote location to see an ugly wheely bin. I loved that you explain everything simply and also that so few Aussie women are showing us their rigs on UA-cam and making terrific videos , so absolute full marks for the inspiration and example of your leadership. I wish you all the best with your van life and travels and look forward to following you on UA-cam! I have a Toyota Hi Ace, but fitting it out is totally overwhelming, doing the build out is the biggest challenge I have ever taken on!
Are my eyes playing tricks? Is the van left hand drive? (or am i overtired hahha). You've done a great job setting it up. Did it need an extra spring in the rear to take the weight?
I have same solar panels to i just found your chanel i did two years van life till June 2020 police wouldn't let me free camp no more cause of covid and put me in a government house looking to go back out vanlife again house life bit negative

Hahaha sometimes forget to flip the frame. Joys of filming it on your phone.
No extra springs needed, still underweight for the build.
