It's not so much Jon Stones' ability on the ball that makes him a huge miss because there are other players who are arguably better on the ball than Stones, players that can fill that role. What's missing is Stones' defensive capabilities when out of possession. That's what Man City missed in this game. I just want to mention that because it wasn't stated or recognized in the video. Having Stones being able to prevent those transitional attacks is incredibly important for Man City.
Jack Grealish wasn’t excellent to be honest and even if James had a good game bs Doku, he was their only way out in transitions and carried the ball a few times there . It's very simple. People thought Chelsea were in trouble with a run of games against top sides ahead of them, but it has not turned out that way because of one man. Demolition man, Raheem Sterling creating panic in the opposition defense producing goals, goal assists and opposition players being sent off and penalties being won as they tried to deal with him. His name was the only name mentioned again and again by Pep after the game and when he said the former Man City players were a very important part of Man City success, there is only one man he could have been talking about, Raheem Sterling. His name was the only name, Klopp, the Liverpool manager mentioned again and again after playing Chelsea. Two great managers seeing his significant contributions and recognising him as the danger man and stand out in the Chelsea team, but pundits and the media would see hell freeze over before they would admit this or even see, such is their hatred of the player. You can bet your bottom dollar a player doing what he is doing at Chelsea would be hailed as Rooney and Gascoigne were, but not a black player, much as John Barnes was ignored and pushed out to play on the wing for England. I made an error in saying Sterling had a significant involvement in 10 out of Chelsea's last 16 goals, but that was an error. He has been involved in 11 out of Chelsea's last 16 goals, and I apologise to him for making that error. What an incredible statistic. When you add that to the statistic that he is both the highest assist provider for England and the second highest scorer, and that he almost single handedly dragged England to their first final in over 50 years, one has to ask the question. How is he not in the England team, let alone the England squad and how is a 21 year old who has scored nothing, but penalties, been hailed above him as the player responsible for Chelsea's successful performances by gthe media despite all the stats. It can only be racism. You are talking about the most successful and best paid English attacking player and one of the best wingers in the world who has proved himself again and again since the age of 17 criticised the whole way as not good enough throughout what are amazing achievements for a 28 year old. CHELSEA V ARSENAL - Against Arsenal it was his cross that won the penalty and his solo run into the box that dragged the goalie of the line with the ball accidentally going over his head. He could have taken the penalty, but allowed Palmer to take it to avoid an argument and a destruction of the teams concentration. Palmer had no right to demand to take it as the manager has not said he is the penalty taker and believes others are capable of taking penalties as well and should be allowed to if they want to. Palmer's insistence he take the penalties is therefore an act of petulance not leadership with other team players not prepared to have an argument on the pitch with a selfish 21 year old who is trying to mature into understanding what a team player is, which is fine because he is young and needs time. CHELSEA V TOTTENHAM - Against Tottenham, Sterling scored the disallowed goal against the run of play that made Tottenham check their confidence and it was Sterling that was being tackled as he did what he does best which is to create panic in the opposition box, attempting a dribble in the box that led to the foul that had the first player sent off as in tackling Sterling the Tottenham player lost control of the ball and was trying to get it back in control, resulting in him fouling a Chelsea player coming for the ball and being sent off reducing Tottenham to 10 men. Sterling was then fouled resulting in a red card and Tottenham being reduced to 9 men, and before it being Sterling that broke through the defense and leading by example to show how to get a goal setting up Jackson for a goal to put Chelsea ahead of Tottenham after his team mates had been struggling to get because of selfishness despite all their opportunities. CHELSEA V MAN CITY - Here you had Sterling in, not just a clear man of the match performance from which he was robbed, but a masterclass in a world class performance going toe to toe with the players of the best team in the world, toying with them and looking better than them. He scored the second goal to put Chelsea ahead for the first time and then in a stroke of genius with time running out delivered the ball like a grenade into the box that created panic in the box and resulted in a penalty that would draw Chelsea level. I would like to see the list of what it is those who claim Palmer has been the main man supports their argument. The list will be penalty, penalty, penalty, but even behind that the list would be penalty won by Sterling, penalty won by Sterling, etc as he involved in so much of the threat Chelsea provides on the pitch. We need to show our demolition man who has proved himself and has the medals and stats to back it up more respect. Forget what agenda the media have with all the negativity and disrespect they throw at him and brainwash people into believing. Long may his relentless work and genius continue. Believe me, if England are to win anything, they will need his penalties, players being sent off trying to stop him, the chaos he causes in opposition defenses and his high stats in goals and assists as a must. No other England player can provide this much variety as a threat and this why great managers value him, not even close, and it is why Pep said he contributed to the great success of the Man City side. Stones really gives Rodri a lot of room to breathe, Diaz was awful, the backline was very uncomfortable. Rodri also loses his head when he's running out of gas. Graelish added so much attacking precision when he came on, but it seems no-one is even trying to get the Ball to Halaand in those threatening positions, they all want to shoot/score! very frustrating. Chelsea turning up against the big teams yet playing like Muppets against lower sides is an absolute disgrace. I will say however, it looks like they'll play a big role in affecting the title race.
Chelsea's issue will always be low blocks. Once we sort that out and actually take our chances we will be flying up the table. I think nkunku is very key to this.
The problem with low blocks hasn't been creating chances, but finishing those chances created. With 8 goals in last 2 games against high press teams, i hope some of the finishing carries over.
@@IVIRnathanreilly Sorry, but i'm struggling to understand, what you mean by saying they weren't "finishes". I'm gonna go ahead and assume you meant that they weren't finished outside or from the edge the of the box, but rather from tap-ins, you're right. And yes, you're probably gonna have less chances to score tap-ins from crowded penalty boxes from low defending teams, than against running counter attacks agains high defensive lines. Earlier we have struggled to finish even from tap-ins, so scoring 4 in consecutive games against leagues top teams is a promising sign.
Chelsea were incredible lets not diminish that, everyone should give you your flowers what a performance. Ever heard of the butterfly effect? Nonetheless, I could also imagine a whole different game if Walker hadn't played every God damn minute of this season and if Stones was available. There's also KDB who was missing. If you wanna have a retrospective prediction, you've gotta account for all factors.
11:23 why is Caicedo not in front of Haaland? Instead he stands right next to Disasi, getting to the ball late and conceding a counter/goal. One in front and one behind is pretty basic stuff that’s so disappointing to see as a chelsea fan
Nkunku and Broja (once he's fully fit)gonna be huge difference maker for this Chelsea team. Nkunku intelligent run, finishing, shooting added with Broja's ball manipulation and composure inside the box. It's gonna be real chaos
If you actually watched the game you'd realize that Chelsea were actually dreadful against a team with 9 men and 2 of their star players injured in the same game. The hat trick that Jackson scored was woeful and easily the worst one I've seen in all 22 years of my life. Chelsea still gave up chances to a team that was down in the mud and it seemed like Spurs could somehow come back from 1-3 down. It was a shocking performance by Chelsea and while not a literal loss for them, that was not a winning performance in any sense
@@Luis-kv8zc who got the 3 points? a win is a win no matter how badly a team plays, just like a loss is a loss no matter how well a team plays. there is no "moral victory", just the final scoreline

This narrative that chelsea won 4-1 but actually lost is so dumb lol we got three points and rattled a team that seemed to be running away on good form.
This notion you keep trying to peddle of Chelsea "struggling to break down Spurs' high line" is such nonsense. They clearly were breaking it down all game, the only reason they didn't start scoring sooner was because they got unlucky with timing for a couple of offside calls. That was obviously never going to continue all game, and clearly it didn't because they won 4-1.
Chelsea's XG shows that they should be winning the games against the smaller teams. They just need to be more clinical which can come from players improving or look for a different profile of player who can take even halve chances.

@@sinclairstoole3015 no, it's not. It's reliant on their actual world class players - Enzo and Caicedo. All Gallagher does is run around and make bad passes.
What we actually learn ?
Don't underestimate Chelsea and they're actually doing positive future project !
Guys, it's HAAland, not Horland
We learned that Raheem Sterling is one of the greatest wingers in the world. Massively underrated 🔥
That Maradona's t shirt looks wow❤❤
Baby boy Reuben Pinder is all grown up now
We learnt that Anthony Taylor shouldn’t be anywhere near refereeing PL matches, let alone Chelsea games and also we’re elite
10th place after what you spent is elite?
Taylor was fine. It was VAR, not him that wrongfully awarded the penalty.
This is fab. City actually were also similarly direct to Chelsea in their passing, including by Ederson. Just a beautiful game.
Gallagher was the beast for Chelsea what a player with so much scarifies for this team
No.
haaland is the biggest front runner, rodri should have been second in that balon d'or or even stones, sterling and cole palmer showed that vengeance is the biggest motivator of man kind. the league misses this type of chelsea
I agree, Haaland is a Great Poacher Nothing Else. Rodri Was The Most Important Player For Them Last Season. Rodri Is A Complete Player.
Remember that chaotic champions league clash between Potch and Pep, we just witnessed another one 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 entertaining football
was waiting for this
100%
@@konzzato be fair, none of Jacksons half of those goals were finishes.
I don't think city fans should worry other than some defense issues, but it's just November for city, we all know and have proof that when city need to get 3 pts for the title they'll do it, they'll click into form no matter what. They've done the last 3 years. Though this match does make this title challenge more interesting for viewers not the table. I would say its more of a game to take for Chelsea than city and anyone that says city are in crisis or something hasn't watched the Pl in the last 5-6 yrs, they do this the beginning of every damn season and they go on some scary winning streak at the back end
Love the videos
To never, ever not captain Haaland on FPL?😂
Or Salah 😂
@@oliverbentley4524yeah but that’s the problem - you captain salah, get two goals, and Haaland still outscores him😂
Chelsea looked really good for large periods!
Just wondering when the next villa analysis will be out? Last one was three months ago titled are Aston Villa’s transfers making them worse? We’re now sat three points off top of the league with the most goals scored of any team. We’ll probably get more Newcastle, RDZ, klopp vs guardiola, Ange’ spurs or what’s gone wrong with ten hags man United videos first though
Every so often, Pep has a brain fart game to remind himself and the world why he plays the same controlled way in all other games 😬
Sometimes he makes mistakes, or his players aren't prepared for the other team. They're humans, despite Pep's wish to play them like robots
Lol yes, it wasen't great for us. Hope the rest of you was entertained, but I hated it with every fiber of my being.
That’s what happens when teams actually try and attack City rather than putting everyone behind the ball for 90 minutes and accepting defeat
Right it's always on pep mistakes and never merit on the opponent....
@@samking5101One of the reasons liverpool and man city games are always entertaining.
No JJ Bull 💔
City missed Stones who well played Hybrid Role & more comfortable to deep control alongside Rodri😊
It’s amazing to see such in-depth analysis come from a small tiny baby boy.
The baby boy is back! Glad to see Ruben still knocking about the place
I learned that even hours after the game my hands can still be sweaty
But were your knees weak and arms heavy
Was there’ vomit on your sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.
@@Geokinkladze I was indeed nervous, but on the surface I looked calm and ready
I'm not even a Chelsea fan but I wanted them to win and I was so nervous for the penalty for no good reason 😂
"actually kind of losing" lmao insanity
Finally a tifo video about Chelsea im actually looking forward to
Superb analyst mate, what a match and if it wasn't 4 taylor Chelsea could win this game easily
Ever heard of the butterfly effect? Nonetheless, I could also imagine a whole different game if Walker hadn't played every God damn minute of this season and if Stones was available. There's also KDB who was missing. If you wanna have a retrospective prediction, you've gotta account for all factors.
best match after 2022 wc final 🔥🔥
Refereeing in the PL is so bad that they are not even trying to hide it anymore
No JJ?
11:23 why is Caicedo not in front of Haaland? Instead he stands right next to Disasi, getting to the ball late and conceding a counter/goal. One in front and one behind is pretty basic stuff that’s so disappointing to see as a chelsea fan
12:23, before the throw in was a freekick for chelsea. And Thiago Just doesnt get back in time
One thing we defo learnt is that Anthony Taylor should be demoted to the championship again.
Where do you get Reuben’s Maradona shirt?
A fully fit/in form reece james and chillwell would make Chelsea title contenders.
Aww look at the baby boy Pinder! ❤
No JJ - I'm gonna pass. Tifo continues to kill everything that made it entertaining in the first place.
Tifo really meed their Monday podcast back
Nkunku and Broja (once he's fully fit)gonna be huge difference maker for this Chelsea team. Nkunku intelligent run, finishing, shooting added with Broja's ball manipulation and composure inside the box. It's gonna be real chaos
Could you do a video on aston villa tactics
We learned that City aka PGMOL FC continue to get soft penalties while the rest of the league continue to get screwed over by VAR
In what unfathomable way did Chelsea kind of lose against Spurs?
Just the bs narrative that’s being spun by pundits. Don’t sweat it
If you actually watched the game you'd realize that Chelsea were actually dreadful against a team with 9 men and 2 of their star players injured in the same game.
@@A-Port-In-Any-Stormthat mentality is why chelshit are in 10th 😂
Because they were playing against 9 men for 20 minutes and were awful? Because when they were 2-1 up they conceded a marginally offside goal to Dier and huge chances to Bentancur and Son?
I will throw a party on the day Anthony Taylor retires
If you not invited me . I wont show up
whats the softwere they use to display players, formations and such?
I feel like Chelsea are being built more to stand against "bigger" clubs, but are finding their footing against low block oppositions.
This narrative that chelsea won 4-1 but actually lost is so dumb lol we got three points and rattled a team that seemed to be running away on good form.
That city can be got at when you apply pressure and stop them trying to control the game
Chelsea vs Man City: Feel the Chaos!!!!!!!!
Chelsea gave 2 contenders for game of the season in the space of one week
This notion you keep trying to peddle of Chelsea "struggling to break down Spurs' high line" is such nonsense. They clearly were breaking it down all game, the only reason they didn't start scoring sooner was because they got unlucky with timing for a couple of offside calls. That was obviously never going to continue all game, and clearly it didn't because they won 4-1.
We literally dismantles Spurs’ entire squad mate. We deaded them. So how did we actually kinda lose? 😂
Chelsea's XG shows that they should be winning the games against the smaller teams. They just need to be more clinical which can come from players improving or look for a different profile of player who can take even halve chances.
JJ is hilarious and great, but its nice to have a 'host' with Jon that just sets him up to do his thing. Sometimes JJ and Jon videos get a little unhinged lol. Great video as always!
The baby boy is back!
Such a good mix of personalities! 🙂
That Kyle Walker can be humbled
He got owned so bad😭
thnkx
Closed Captions should include no more than goo goo gaga for Reuben
I just hope reece james stays fit and fofana and nkunku come back without getting hurt again.
also we need to stop dropping so many points to midtable teams. unbeaten against liverpool, arsenal, city and tottenham is nice. but 0 points from games against forest, brentford, west ham and villa is not cool.
Beautiful game of football.. end to end stuff!
Agreed, off the ball Palmer was the issue.
Lol
they can get up for the big games but no much more
It's Goo goo gah gah Baby boy Pinder!!!🥳🥳🥳
Reuben should've done the whole vid in his Roy Hodgson voice for no reason.
It's clear n simple city had ref advantage from Manchester 12 v 11. Unlucky PL fixed match attempt fail
Who are you? Where's the Westlife guy?
that both teams need to defend better, maybe have better defenders
It's hilarious how Tifo ends its videos. Anyone noticed?
Bring back the pod
Were Tottenham the real winners?
Good vid aside Reuben Pinder is the most tory name
The English Premier League may be one of the best football leagues in the world, but their referees are far from good.
I learned that Chelsea fans believe they are the best club in the world after winning 1 point.
Baby boy Pinda!
VAR got it wrong again. No way that City pk is legit.
The pen was legit, you can't hold onto a player that has run past you, no matter who started, no matter who's strongest. You can't do that and forces the ref to call it.
However Taylor misses a blatant freekick committed just before the pen was. And the pen shouldn't have been given imo
@@HerbalMCFC watch it again please. Dermott Gallagher, the worst at finding the correct decision agrees with you. In his response he said that erling "shrugged" Cucarella.
With your arms motion imitate a shrug. That is not what he did. He yanked him back.
@@HerbalMCFC i don't completely disagree with you but Haaland had a good hold of Cucurella's kit as well. Should have been waved off imo
That Pep got it wrong and he'll figure out
That they both wear different shades of blue?
They don't like it up 'em sir.
We learned that if Man City defenders are having a bad day they are conceding 4 minimun
Well, Chelsea made them have a bad day. They weren't just "having" a bad day
Your intro to the video is quite poor. What do u mean kinda losing eventhough we won by 4?! Why? Because Spurs played a high line while losing their temper?!
Yeah clearly City missed Stones and will. And now the goal for Chelsea is to beat low defending teams
Rodri was terrible, both midfield was pure trash , galagher and bernardo silva were the only good ones
Now we know why pep wanted to replace Rodri with Rice
Weird they let a baby host an episode but he’s surprisingly well spoken
